| Personal History | Robert Takota was born on the Klingon homeworld, Qo'noS, as the son of Empox and human mother Samantha Takota. His father was a security operative for the Klingon Empire and mother taught kindergarten at the federation school. When Robert was about to turn seven, his father promised he would be their for his birthday, but he never showed. Six months later, him and is mother moved to Colorado, the North American continent on Earth. Robert started suffering from anger issues and a short temper, often getting fights at school and disobeying his teachers. His school counselor recommended he take up martial arts to keep his temper in check. He took up karate and had attained his first black belt when he became a teenager. When he turned fifteen, his mother received notice that his father had been captured by the Romulans before his seventh birthday and died a few years later. Robert started learning about the Klingon heritage he had forsaken. He left school when his mother passed away from a incurable terrain illness. At the age of 17, Robert joined Starfleet as an enlisted crewman. His first assignment was with the 101st Starfleet Ground Forces Company. His unit (numbering 150 and under the command of Captain Garcia) was tasked to guard a captured a joint Dominion and Breen intelligence array on a arctic planet outside the Chin'toka system, that was designated CR-215. Robert remained there for the next six months, when the war ended. In the aftermath seeing the death his fellow soldiers his unit had been reduced to 43. He spent the rest of his enlistment as a security officer on Angolis IV. In 2376 after serving only a 18 month enlistment, Robert was enrolled into Starfleet Academy (class of 2380) at the recommendation of his commanding officer. While at Starfleet Academy, he continued his martial arts training, achieving his 3rd black belt in Karate by graduation. Robert befriended twin sisters Tia and Sophie Reynolds, and his roommate John Ellis, along with many other cadets who were impressed by his enlisted experience. Following his graduation, the newly commissioned Ensign Tokota was assigned to the USS Goshawk as relief tactical officer. In early 2381, at the beginning of Second Borg Invasion, Robert took over primary tactical duties when the tactical officer was promoted to first officer. During the borg invasion, the ship saw alot of combat and took heavy damage, but managed to not be destroyed. After spending a further two years aboard the Goshawk, Robert was promoted to lieutenant, junior grade in 2384 and was assigned to one of the few Galaxy-x class starships the USS Arizona as operations division bridge watch officer. Where he preformed his duties with distinction during the Arizona's science and research mission along the border of the delta quadrant. In mid 2387, Robert was awarded with a promotion to full lieutenant and was assigned to the Vesta-class USS Pegasus as chief tactical and security officer. The Pegasus five year mission, brought him back to the border of the delta quadrant. Robert is currently assigned as the First Officer on the USS Carthage, with rank of Lieutenant Commander. |
