Mission: A Day in the Life
Location: Internal Docking Ports - Independent ship - The Lonely Road
Timeline: current

Captain of the Lonely Road, Flame Pyers, stood sipping a hot chocolate, as her current load, a combination of people and cargo. Listening to loud voices coming from further afield, she was glad that she was officially Starfleet undercover officers, not that many people actually knew.

“Thanks for the ride Flame,” Jerrabomberra team Leader of the Dead Diver Science Research and Diving Team slung two bags over her shoulder and onto their old fasion wheely trolley cart, and lowered them ontop. Coming back for more of their gear, as then ten of the team members all did the same.

Arcadia She was the odd person out. She really was the odd person out. Even with Jerrabomberra as team leader, when it came to the actual divers she was the team leader. Everyone but her and her team were in Starfleet uniforms. Her team all civilians, a mix of science and engineers, also a mix of wet and dry, they were dressed in semi civilian gear, and a mix of Klingon, Starfleet Marine Corr, and Human vintage clothing, and for the two, that were wet, semi dressed in a combination of Klingon, Starfleet and civilian dive gear. She, Arcadia, was dressed in a one piece black dive suit, on her back was a thin rectangle capsule which contained the dive jelly she breathed while underwater. Knives were holstered on both legs at ankle height. Clipped to the large wide weight and tool belt was both an ancient dive regulator, set of goggles, and a full face mask, all in black. But that wasn't the only things which made her odd person out. Her head was covered in a matching black cover, which hid most of the teeth marks which encompassed not only her head, top and back but the right side of her face. The right side of her neck and her right shoulder had been rebuilt, the shoulder created to allow any one of more than a dozen artificial right arm and hand combinations to be fitted, dependent upon the task required. Her suit fitted to hide the gaping hole that was the right side of her stomach, the surrounds of the hole dressed by the same teeth marks decorating her head and face. Also responsible for both missing legs and the missing right arm, hand and partial replaced neck area. Her artificial limbs were fitted with internal non energy weaponry, able to be accessed by her at any time. She looked normal apart from the teeth marks on her face.  Watching one of hers take one of a group of crates from a Starfleet Uniform, she knew they didn't need to be cuddled, they knew what to do, they knew what their jobs were. And they were all familiar with what she primarily was. A Dead Diver. A Diver who used a dive jelly/jam to breath underwater instead of a dry mix.. But she was here after a break, a direct result of the creature attack which left her with her injuries. She was assigned to Starbase 332 as lead of a wet science and engineering team. And she was really glad to be back in the water. A member of a team of ten, some dead divers, some scientists, some engineers and a protection officer. Qualified in a variety of specialises, some not made public as those responsible for the Dead Diving program weren't quite ready to make it all public, especially since thanks to the difference of Esophageal anatomy between the female and the male body, Dead Divers were limited to females only, the male adam's apple the cause of the inability of the male to dive with the Dive jelly/jam. Picking up more equipment she lowered it onto the second trolley and went back for more.

Ci stood guard over their gear which had been sorted from gear going to Wytara Barlow, Blackwidow, some of the merchants who had shops on the promenade, and general supplies going to Starfleet, via the station's quartermaster. She was training to be a dead diver, but she was also a Wet Damage Control Engineer and a Marine Construction Engineer, but for now guarded their equipment.

Fire lifted two full duffle bags belonging to two of their people onto the trolley and hoped they weren't going to have to spend a lot of time on 332 when they had a sea located base of their own, which was not only on the surface but under the water as well. She was just shy of becoming a fully qualified dead diver, and the more time she got to spend in the water as far as she was concerned the better. Space was fine, but water was better.

Griz lifted two single air tanks and pulled out another trolley with one booted foot, and placed the tanks, which were used for emergencies, and were carried by the dead divers, and lowered them onto the third trolley. An engineer working with the team, it was his job to fix problems, and make repairs to anything and everything.

Empire, the unit doctor but also fully qualified Dead Diver lowered her dive gear onto the third trolley, and went back for her medical equipment. “You know this would have been a lot easier if this had all been beamed down, and they could have beamed us directly.” She stated. Getting no answer from anyone else, she went back for more, there was obviously reasons why they were on 332 then on their water based base.

Saturn “I'm with Empire.” Saturn stated as she lifted the sealed algae/moss that was what they dived with as dead divers and started moving them across to the trolleys. She was a fully qualified dead diver, and an algae growth specialist, and there was a lot of algae to move. “Couldn't they have beamed these cylinders down atleast?”

Savage groaned as he lifted five large cylinders and lowered them onto the trolley. “The water base isn't secure. You want to beam down and find everything missing?” He asked. Big and armed with a variety of blades, bald and wearing black sunglasses, and all black clothes, he was the team's protection officer.

Neeambah “Put that way no.” Communication's specialist answered. “All I want is something cold and somewhere to lay down. My feet hurt.”

Irukandji, the diving equipment tech, lifted the first of the diving sets onto the third trolley's, keeping them out of the way of the rest of the gear, so they weren't damaged. Covered in tattoo's from head to foot, including his bald head and face, Irukandji knew why people were staring, there wasn't many if at all people covered with skin art, but he was used to it, and just turned to grab the next diving set.

“Blackwidow is on a training session, as Marine Instructor.” Croc came up beside Flame.

“We're in no hurry.” Flame stated. “We'll see what comes along.”

“Big Bob has a cargo load to SB 347 to be collected from one of there's, we're to meet them in six days.” Anaconda stuck her head out of the door and kept her voice low. “Do we take Blackwidow's items to her quarters or office and what about Barlow's lot.”

“Send her.....”

Wytara headed towards the Lonely Road. “Had to walk a bit to find a working turbolift.”

“We weren't going anywhere.” Flame offered a gloved hand and shook Wytara's. “Your gear is already to be beamed, just let us know where you want it. Anaconda's inside, slip in and advise where you want it to Conda.”

“Thanks Flame.” Wytara stated disappearing inside the Lonely Road.

“Have we got a response from the Quartermaster?” Flame asked.

“She's on her way.” Conda answered.
