Description		Main Sickbay The station's main Starfleet hospital facility is a large double-level infirmary. Beyond the reception which, unusually for a Starfleet facility, makes use of the large, spacious corridor surrounding the primary turboshaft and incorporates comfortable seating areas, lies the offices of the main medical staff and the primary ward. Across the two levels, Sickbay is capable of caring for well over a thousand patients if needed, but is generally cordoned off into various specialty areas. There is medical labs, three surgical wards, two critical triage wards and an ICU ward within the upper sickbay complex, while the lower caters to specialty suites responsible for dentistry, neurology, cardiology, and other medical specialties as well as more ward space for care. The lower sickbay area also houses a smaller ICU, surgical suite, an expanded triage suite, four medical labs, a biohazard research lab, a bio-hazard quarantine bay, and a suite of stasis units. It also features a maternity ward and nursery. Accessible from the Counselor's office in the upper sickbay are eight counseling suites and a small administrative office. Transporter rooms 5 and 6 are strategically located with a connection to a specialist triage receiving area for a fast medical response time to emergencies around the station. Other Medical Facilities • A large secondary sickbay is the center of the auxiliary medical center. • There are an additional 10 sickbays on decks 125, 200, and 2,061, all of which are staffed by a medical officer and two nurses at all times. • There is a large civilian Hospital which caters to non-Starfleet and non-Federation personnel on Deck 600 in the centre of the Promenade. This operates entirely independently of the Starfleet facility on Decks 83 & 84 but the two often share knowledge and resources where applicable.
