With the decommissioning of the USS Heath I have been dispatched to the Antares Fleet Yards to meet with my new assignment. I'm currently aboard Runabout Dennistoun en route to the yards. Starfleet have told me nothing about the assignment I'll be taking on however, they have suggested that myself and the ship will be assigned to the 11th Fleet or, Pegasus Fleet as I believe it's known.

The assignment will bring an opportunity for exploration, or at least I hope it will. There's a significant area in the Galactic South which has not been sufficiently explored and I'd love an opportunity to get in and find something surprising. Although knowing my luck I'll get assigned another heap of junk with a warp core like a bleeding leg.

My understanding is that I'll be in a position to hand-pick my own crew, something which I have not had an opportunity to do so far in my career as a commanding officer. I have a few names on my shortlist but I feel it would be a better decision to wait and see the new assignment before choosing the people I want.
