Personality & Traits
General Overview | Winter is generally quiet and reserved, pointing out things that he believes are important and always keeping what he does say, short and concise. He enjoys watching and waiting, perhaps a little too much.
Strengths & Weaknesses | Winter's strength lies in his ability to wait for an opportune moment even though all chaos might be breaking lose. Winter has almost none-existent social skills. Virtually no desire to 'communicate', although one often finds him in the lounge. This can put him at odds with the rest of the team and it's usually why he's left alone. Winter has, very little sense of compassion. While he might not follow 'every' order thrown at him, there are some orders or tasks that he would undertake that others including the fleet admiralty might baulk at. He relies on himself and thinks about himself. This is before he thinks about anyone else. Always under the motto that 'You're no use if you're dead'. Surprisingly, he does get quite emotional after a mission especially if it has involved killing or something equally...dark. While this might be expected, his rage or depression can be seen as a liability. He often spends time with the Councillor to deal with this bouts of emotion. |
|
Ambitions | Winter wishes to become the number one marksman and he'll spend hours training, preferably with a rifle, of which he handles in a...unique fashion, but he'll also use other weapons.
Hobbies & Interests | Marksmanship Winter also plays musical instruments, such as the harp and the clarinet. |

Personal History | Snow Hill, code named Winter. Everyone has a sense of humour, or at least that is how it felt since he was born. While his parents were touring for some reason or other (it is reported that it was a diplomatic mission) their ship ran into troubles and ended up crash landing on an ice cube of a planet. A couple of months past and the pregnant wife gave birth on that very planet. Thus his name, that they had thought appropriate. Throughout his life, Winter either went by Snow or Owl, depending on who was calling him. Owl was his pet name. After being rescued, he graduated school with relatively decent grades however he had a pretty harsh temperament that meant the Starfleet academy was reluctant to take him. Instead he enlisted with a land based regiment a bootcamp in other words to iron out those kinks. Initially it worked however after a near miss of taking some one's head off with an inaccurate rifle, he was set aside from everyone else. This is when he developed his hobby of Marksmanship. Seeing his, skill, more often with long ranged weapons, his CO decided to slot him in a team with a rifle. By this point he'd already had a bit of a reputation for being a bit of a loose cannon and he couldn't gel with the team. Eventually he was separated again after another fight although his record had improved dramatically. Instead, he was sent on a survival course, meant for a team of five all on his own. No food, no water, no shelter. No easy ride. The Examiners were determined he was going in the deep end when they dropped him off. When he didn't come back after two weeks, they had assumed he was dead and put out a small search party to find him. He himself however had seen himself a challenge, the primary reason why he wasn't back so soon. Winter had been told distinctly not to tackle the mountain, it was too dangerous for a cadet to attempt. Albeit supposedly the quickest route. This is the route that Winter took. While it didn't do anything for his record, it did something to his personality, it instilled a certain sense of discipline inside him. Knowing full well that if he let it all go on that mountain, he was dead. He was lucky to get over the other side and two weeks after the deadline he stumbled back into camp, bloodied feet, frostbitten hands and a determination to do it quicker next time. There wasn't to be a next time for him as he was taken by an NCO onto a Marine detachment. They needed a skilled sniper and while he was only a cadet, he had a pretty good target history and thus good enough for them. He graduated school, with decent grades but due to a compulsory conscript by the government, he found himself in the army. Even when he was allowed to leave, he chose to stay. Although he was good with an assault rifle it seemed that his true nature was far more akin to the sniper. During several detachments, he has worked with large numbers of soldiers to help clear areas. His slightly magical nature was discovered during a routine training exercise that went wrong and he received an interesting letter from the Demon Hunter Council. |
