Personal History Micheal did have a normal childhood that everyday people would consider normal. You see both of his parents were and still are in Starfleet. Micheal grew up on the USS Odyssey, an Constellation class Starship. His father was Major Richard Blaine, Chief Security Officer/Marine Commander on board and his mother was Lt Mellissa Blaine the Squadron Leader. Growing up when he was a boy, he thought would be fun. But it was nothing of the sort. He was always restricted to a few desks by his father and he was never able to see his parents while they were on duty. Instead he spent most of his time reading books in the mess hall by himself. He loved to read and sit and listen to everyone while they told there stories of away missions. But it was not until one day that the Ship's Captain came in to see what people that his perspective changed on Starfleet. Because you see the Ship's Captain Cmdr Susan Lockheart didn't go over to were the enlisted sat but instead she came over to where Micheal was and sat down. He was 15 years old at the time and they spent almost 30 minutes talking. Micheal left that day with a new respect for her and he saw that she was wise indeed. It was almost because of her influence that he wanted to be a Captain like, were all of the crew like and respect her. Well for the next two years that he was aboard the Captain assigned him a tutor to help him get ready for the academy. This was probably when Micheal and his parents started to drift apart. He never told them first he wanted in to Starfleet, he told the Captain. Well anyway the time came for him to leave and go to Earth. Luck would have it that he pasted the entrance exam on the first time.

He had never been happier then when he stepped into the Academy doors for his freshmen year. But that feeling soon ended when class started. Micheal realized he would need a tutor, just like he did when growing up. That is when he meet, what would be his best friend going through the academy. He was a young men by the name of Shelton Kirkland. He was a aerospace navigation class when Micheal walked in and took the seat next to his. Time started to fly by as Shelton helped Micheal with his studies and he also changed changed his major from Security to Aerospace. This was not a very popular move with both of his parents but he didn't care. He found out that he actual loves to fly and he was actually good at it. The rest of his academy time went without much trouble. The only notable achievement he made was that Micheal got on the academy flight demonstration squadron, his senior year.

Well for the first five years of his starfleet career Micheal had a pretty normal routine. He was stationed on the USS Yamamoto, a carrier class starship. It wasn't until the start of the Dominion war that Micheal saw his first taste of war. It happened all to quick for anyone to react to what was going on. Micheal was flying the number two position right behind his Squadron leader, escorting a freighter. The pirates came out of nowhere trying to take advantage of the war. Micheal's Flight Leader was killed along with the wing CO. Micheal was giving command of the wing and he spent another six months on the carrier. But before long he got reassigned to a the USS Guston Hall, a front line ship. He spent the next two years on a galaxy class starship, in command of another wing. But with of the fighting Micheal jumped at the chance to teach at Starfleet Academy, when it came up. So he reported to the academy as a flight instructor.

The Academy went by pretty fast for Micheal and he was also doing what he loved. It wasn't life on a ship but he was happy for the downtime he got to spend visiting family. It wasn't until his second year that he was approached after class one day by a cadet. It turns out she was his half-sister and they both had the same father's but different mothers.
