| Personal History | Kestarah, goes by Kes, was born in the Delta Quadrant. Her parents were Maquis members of Voyagers who really did not want to assimilate into the Voyager crew. They found some refugees on one of the supply gathering stops. They just left with the clothes on their backs. The duo had needed skills so the two were accepted into the rag-tag community. She was born a couple of years later. It was a happy time for a few months until the worst thing could have happened. Her mother's death when she was an infant was something that she has despised her entire life. She was raised as a Klingon, almost totally ignoring her Human heritage. She had a short temper at times, but has worked to overcome it and to be more even tempered. It hasn't worked yet. She is proficient at the bat'leth. She speaks Klingon, thanks to her time with her father. His death when she was 18 hit her very hard. Her temper started working overtime. It got so bad that she left the colony before they tossed her out, inspite of her skills. She would spend short periods of time with one ship before she could be forced off for fighting. She's willing to fight a war of words, but she refused to fight that war with an unarmed person. She enjoys cooking and has a green thumb.
