Personality & Traits
General Overview | T'qin, or "Quinn", is a very personable, and friendly person, outwardly, despite her Vulcan mannerisms, and speech tendencies. She has a 'mother hen' persona that is occasionally difficult to put up with, but is still endearing. She occasionally has issues closing off lines of thought from her previous line of work(Federation Marshalls Services), leading to an overly suspicious, or snoopy, work ethic. |
|
Strengths & Weaknesses | What T'qin loses in physical capabilities, due to an incident during the dominion war, she makes up for in mental prowess. She suffered severe muscle degradation during a Dominion 'interrogation', and never did quite recover from the physical damages. Unlike most full blooded Vulcans, she has a keen empathy with other beings, which has, more than once, saved her life. |
|
Hobbies & Interests | T'qin is known for gardening, cooking, and reading detective novels, a hobby which inspired much of her Starfleet, and FMS careers. | |
Languages | Federation Standard, Vulcan, Klingon(common) |
Personal History | Growing up on Vulcan as a half human, after the career success of Ambassador Spock was much less unpleasant than most Vulcans would bring one to believe. T'qin's aversion to much of the holistic aspects of Vulcan society caused her to apply for Starfleet Academy, at a young age. 17. In 2297. Throughout her expansive career, spanning 60 years of Forensic Pathology work, 15 years in the Federation Marshalls Services as a homicide detective, and a short career with Starfleet Security as a Security Officer, during the Dominion war, T'qin solved tens of thousands of crimes, and saved many lives, as well as the career of Captain James Elliot, who would later father her child, before perishing in the Dominion war, in spite of his wife's best efforts. Since the Dominion war, T'qin has dedicated much of her life to attempting to broker peace, rather than solve puzzles, or protect people, after a very wise Admiral, who had also lost his wife, during the dominion war, told her that 'the best protection is a clever diplomat, who can stop a war before it starts.' Her husband's sister would pass away in 2391, during a mysterious plague outbreak, leaving T'qin custody of her child, Alexandra. |
