Physical Description | Slight of build at 167lbs and coming in at a smaller than average 5'10", Parker doesn't give off the typical Marine vibe that many picture. Parker's build is deceptive however, thanks to years of service as well as many hours spent in training Parker is stronger than he looks. Despite his slight build, Parker has broad shoulders and somewhat muscular arms, more defined than large if anything. It's however not his build that generally draws the attention when someone meets Parker, no that would be his mischievous smile, bright eyes and slightly longer than Reg hair. He normally keeps his red-brown hair spiked though sometimes he sweeps it back. His hair is matched by the red stubble that seems to constantly crop up near the tail end of a day regardless of whether he saved in the morning or not. Parker does have a Marine Corps tattoo, interlaced with a Chevron on his upper right arm, though few ever get to see it. When speaking, Parker has a slight, almost indiscernible English accent. This comes from a fair amount of time spent with his grandparents back on Earth during his teenage years. While On-duty, Parker wears the Duty variant in its open configuration, preferring it to the close fitting version that's closed. Parker can almost always be found with a weapon on hand, whether that's his Tactical knife on his left hip, or a sidearm on his right thigh. While off duty Parker wears warm comfortable clothing, generally jeans with some type of pullover hooded sweatshirt. When he needs a bit more class however, you can find him in a long sleeved shirt with a cloth jacket. |

Personality & Traits
General Overview | Parker has been a Marine from birth. Born into a Military family, his father a Major at the time, Parker has been breed from the beginning to serve in the Corps. Not one to entirely fit the mold however, Parker has always been a bit of a mischievous type who can come up with any number of things to break the monotone lifestyle of training and working thanks to his creative nature. More than once in his younger years, Parker got into trouble with his parents for his less than stellar ability to listen, always adapting and finding interesting loopholes to get out of trouble. Overall, Parker is intelligent, adaptable and creative all personality traits that make a great leader who is dedicated to his job and his personnel. Somewhat overly protective the men and women under his command, Parker is the first to stand up for them in times of need. Cool under pressure, Parker is the type of man you can look to in a fight for leadership, having been in a fair to many for his wife's liking. On the offside, due to his upbringing and his former position within the Force Recon Parker is a highly competitive individual. While this is most of the time a friendly type of competitiveness, it can lead to Parker being somewhat stubborn in terms of admitting that he might in fact, not know it all. He's fairly impulsive as well, first to jump in feet first with little thought to the consequences sometimes. This is somewhat in thanks to his unpredictability as well, Parker can come up with things from nothing, doing something at one time, then the next do something completely different. Thanks to years of service within the Marines, and the Force Recon, Parker is very good at what he does. An expert Marksmen with years of service and more than a few training courses under his belt, Parker is a Marine through and through. Willing to work with Starfleet to an end, he is very assertive over the rights and duties of the Marines in comparison to Starfleet Security. While he may not like Security creeping into the Marines area of specialty, he's more than happy to creep into the Security scope of work. |

Strengths & Weaknesses | + Marksmen - Parker is an excellent Marksmen having served as the Designated Marksmen in most units he has been assigned too. + Silent Warfare - Part of his Recon training, Parker is well versed in getting in and out quietly. + Creative - A great trait for someone in command and constantly being looked to for strategies or tactics, Parker is extremely creative, able to think up plans quickly. + Adaptable - Parker can adapt to most situations on the fly, being quick on his feet and in his wits. One has to be to truly be in command since no plan ever survives contact. = Competitive - In a tough field of work, Parker is a very competitive person, constantly striving to be the best. He works to be the best in everything he can be, and even though he knows he can’t be at all times, he's not likely to admit it. = Straight Forward - This can come into issue when he's trying to make his thoughts known as he can be very forceful. = Multitasker - Parker is great at multitasking, however the more things that pile on, the more things that Parker can begin to forget. If he has too many projects on the go, he can easily forget about some. - Impulsive - Parker is a first in type, quick to jump feet first into any situation. This can cause issues though when he doesn't stop to let himself think. In more than one case, Parker has run into issues with jumping to the defense of someone without first hearing the story. - Sarcastic - Parker has a very off sense of humour, constantly having a response to most questions, and having witty and often sarcastic response, often when not needed. - Unpredictable - Though some could view this as a positive, with Parker it's definitely a negative. He is completely unpredictable, which works well towards coming up with tactics and when in a firefight, but when dealing with him in a social situation it can cause Parker to come out of nowhere. He can be overly emotional in one situation, but completely cold in others, causing many to be cautious of him. |
|
Ambitions | To hit the higher ranks. Though Parker never wanted to get up past the command of a smaller unit, he's made the best of his situation and decided that maybe a Star or two might be what’s best for him. | |
Hobbies & Interests | When it comes to interests, Parker's are not very varied. He enjoys mainly old Earth cultural items, from Movies, and books to comic books. Parker mainly enjoys learning about Earth because of its vast history and different eras. When it comes to hobbies though, Parker has a small collection of idols carved when out in the field from whatever passed as wood. He'll sit and just carve with his knife whenever he can. |
Personal History | Born in 2352 at Camp Moore on the distant colony work of Halks IV, from the very beginning, Parker was destined to be a Marine. Born to then Major Harold Jacobs and Allison Jacobs, Parker is the oldest of three children and was the first to follow in the footsteps of his father. Much like his father from the start, Parker idolized Harold following him and listening to his every word. While Harold was nothing but thrilled about his son's interest in the Marine Corps, Allison was somewhat more wary of her son's devote interest and encouraged his exploration of more creative past times. By the time he was twelve, Parker was still looking to follow his father into the Marines but had developed a love for art, sculpting and carving to be exact, spending extra time in art classes making things with his hands. It was around this time that Parker's more mischievous side began to sprout, finding loopholes in rules, doing the most he could to stretch that thin line between discipline and disorder. By the time Parker was fifteen, he had convinced his father to teach him some basics for weapons and had started running regularly during the morning along with Harold. Still convinced that his future lay with the Marine Corps, Parker worked hard to make that future as good as possible. He studied hard in an effort to enter Thunder Ridge for officer training, he trained physically with his father to make sure he was in shape and even managed to convince his mother to let him do additional weapons training, something she had been opposed to. In an effort to get him to try and change his mind, Allison still opposed to his want to join the Marines like Harold, Parker and his brothers were sent off back to Earth to spend some time with their Grandparents. For the next three years Parker finished off his primary education in Falmouth in England. His more artistic side was encouraged and flourished, though Parker still remained persistent, the Marines were what he wanted to do with his life. When he finally turned eighteen, his mother finally accepted that he was set on the route of joining the Marines. Though she never really said why she had been opposed to it, Parker was happy to finally have the approval of his mother for his life choice. With great grades and high in the fitness percentile, Parker was accepted into Thunder Ridge, the Marine equivalent to Starfleet Academy. |

Service Record | 2371 - Enters Thunder Ridge Marine Academy His first year at Thunder Ridge was fairly standard. Basic training, tactics, history, anything you could think of that an officer should learn about he learned it. While he quickly found out he was not one of the best like he had been at home, Parker's competitive attitude pushed him hard, and by the end of the year his mid ranged grades had reached top of class level. Though his competitiveness won him few friends, he did manage to gather a small group of close friends. 2373 - Second Year By the time Second year came around and classes started to diverge into more specialized areas, Parker decided that he wanted to go down the general infantry route for now. He continued to be highly competitive, keeping his grades among the top of class, though he settled into a steady top twenty area (of a class of two hundred). It was during this year that the Dominion War broke out and more combat based classes began to take hold in the curriculum. With his earlier training thanks to his father and his own physical regime, Parker stood out as a highly capable individual. 2374 - Condensed Third and Fourth Year due to Dominion War - Rank of Second Lieutenant - Assigned to 18th Regiment, 3rd Division, Camp Darrow on Mars Due to the loses the War were causing, the normal off time that Cadets would receive was annexed, and an accelerated program was instituted, in the span of 10 months, Parker received along with the rest of his class, the last two years of his academy training before he graduated a full year ahead of schedule. Sent to Camp Darrow on Mars, Parker was assigned a small squad in the Third Battalion in the Eighteenth Regiment of the Third Division. The first few months of his career were fairly quiet, until Betazed was attacked, the Eighteenth Regiment was sent to a neighboring system of Betazed to rout a Jem'Hadar Battalion that had set up a listening post. Parkers first taste of combat was a bittersweet one, though he stood his own and managed to get most of his squad through the combat zone, the Eighteenth would have to withdraw after two solid weeks of fighting. The Jem'Hadar presence turned out to be much larger than expected, and a space side skirmish had prevented Starfleet from securing the skies for air support. After this battle, Parker would be involved with several other small skirmishes before the end of the war. 2375 - End of Dominion War Now a veteran of a total of eight large battles, when the war ended Parker and his squad were sent back to Mars. In a peace time setting, training became the standard, and a high influx rate of new recruits filtering through began. Though transfers were normal in military life, Parkers squad seemed to have a abnormally high transfer rate, with more than a few problem marines joining up. With his competitive nature and want to do his best, Parker either pushed those Marines out or pushed them to keep to the high standards he kept to his men and himself. Though this worked for some Marines, it didn't for many, earning Parker a reputation for being a hard ass commanding officer. Those that served with him soon learned that if you kept up, he was a great guy and a great officer, those that didn't though learned that he could be a right arse. 2378 - Promoted to First Lieutenant After four years of service within the Marine Corps, thanks to his combat record and his Marines keeping to high standards consistently, Parker was given a promotion to First Lieutenant. As part of his celebrations, Parker took leave and headed back to Earth along with some of his friends from Thunder Ridge also assigned to the Eighteenth. It was during this shoreleave that Parker would meet Madison Pillar. Madison seemed to understand Parker, but definitely did not take his bull crap. Even though he was based on Mars, after his brief two week shoreleave in which he spent almost half of it with Madison, the pair started up a relationship. It was around this time that Parker also decided that he wanted more from his career and began working towards getting into the Force Recon program. It took two long years to finally work himself up to the standard and be accepted to the program. During this time, his relationship with Madison continued to grow despite their distance from each other, so when Parker was accepted into RECON and assigned back to Earth, they decided to take it to the next level and try living together. 2380 - Accepted into Force Recon Program, Camp Pendleton, Earth Parker's nine weeks in the Force Recon program were some of the toughest but most rewarding weeks of his life. With the bonus of having someone to come home to, Parker was at the happiest he ahd ever been in his life. By the time he graduated from the program, Parker knew that this was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. 2380 - Graduates Force Recon - Additional training Over the next several months, Parker stayed on Earth and participated in a number of additional training programs, from Scout Sniper training, to Orbital drop training. Though many were dangerous, Parker did as many as he could wanted to be the best, his competitive nature coming out in strides in the extremely competitive Force Recon branch. Many of the men and women in the branch were just like him, striving to be the best at everything they could be. Half way through these months, Parker made another decision that would change his life forever. Proposing to Madison, Parker committed to the woman who at the same time understood him better than anyone, and put him in his place when needed. Rather than some long ceremony which neither particularly wanted, their immediate family were called to Earth where the pair got married in Falmouth within weeks of being engaged. 2381 - Assigned to 3rd Recon Battalion, 9th Regiment, 5th Division, Starbase 82 After his significant amounts of training were deemed enough by the brass, Parker was transferred out to the Third Recon Battalion of the Ninth Regiment in the Fifth Division stationed on Starbase Eighty-Two. Assigned another squad, Parker began fresh again, working hard to bring the squad up to what he deemed the standard they should be at. Though they mainly trained and spent time doing small recon assignments before colony settlement teams were sent in. The few combat missions they were assigned rarely ended up in combat when the pirate’s nests they were sent out to empty would either already be so or Starfleet had already done the job. Though Madison often worried about Parker when he was out on assignment, regardless of whether it was a combat mission or not, their relationship continued to grow strong. Two years into their relationship, they were told they were going to have a child. While they were overjoyed, it soon turned to heartbreak when Madison lost the baby and later learned that she could not carry a child. Ever since then the pair have been debating adoption, but have not pulled the trigger yet so to speak. 2384 - Promoted to Captain Three years into his tenure within the Force Recon program, with almost entirely successful missions, Parker was promoted to Captain. A promotion that was much needed in the view of some of his Marines, Parker was upped in command to the entire company. Command of a company was very different from command of a Squad. Though he still worked to keep the standards high and learn everyone's name, it became tougher to do so. Parker continued to go out on missions with his squads, though the entire company only every deployed once when they were assigned as operational security for a Diplomatic meeting between the Breen and the Klingons that the Federation was facilitating. 2387 - Assigned to 1st Recon Battalion, 2nd Regiment, 1st Division, Camp Shran - Andoria After yet another three years, Parker was transferred to Camp Shran on Andoria as a part of the First Recon Battalion in second regiment, part of the First Division. A cold planet, Parker had to go through Cold Weather training upon arrival, something that felt odd to him. Either way, spending time in command of a Company in the historic First Recon Battalion was a massive boon to his career. Based on Andoria home of the Historic Imperial Guard, Parker learned from some of the best senior officers Recon had to offer. Combat simulations were intense and some of the best Parker had ever experienced. Though his Company did not have any combat deployments, it was constantly called on to send out units and squads to scout new planets or to check on Intel. It was during this time that Parker began to see that perhaps a future in higher command might be better as well. Interested in a larger command, Parker worked hard to make himself stand out from the other officers in hopes of getting a Battalion command and even a promotion. After four years of service with the First, Parker has been given his promotion to Major and assigned command of his own Battalion. 2374 - Condensed Third and Fourth Year due to Dominion War - Rank of Second Lieutenant 2375 - End of Dominion War - Assigned to 18th Regiment, 3rd Division, Camp Darrow on Mars 2378 - Promoted to First Lieutenant 2380 - Accepted into Force Recon Program, Camp Pendleton 2380 - Graduates Force Recon - Additional training 2381 - Assigned to 3rd Recon Battalion, 9th Regiment, 5th Division, Starbase 82 2384 - Promoted to Captain 2387 - Assigned to 1st Recon Battalion, 2nd Regiment, 1st Division, Camp Shran - Andoria 2391 – Promoted to Major and assigned to the 2nd Division |
