| General Overview | Jason Tanner’s personality depends on what mood she’s in, who is asking, what they want, what she is doing at the time, and whether she has the urge to have company. She can be polite, and friendly. She can growl, and be extremely rude to the point of cruel. She can torment and verbally carve up someone who she doesn’t want to deal with, to the point, she can easily reduce them to tears. She can be silent, ignorant, and totally isolationist. She can be kind and calm. She can kill, violently playing with her target, until she has reduced them to nothing more than a bag of bones, and a lifeless pile of peas. However, she isn’t a person to show her emotions openly. Her mood swings are quiet, quick, efficient, and the people she’s around never know when she’s likely to change mood. Which is why, she is usually given a wide berth. She has been described, as being everything from an angel, to a devil in a perfect disguise, but the most common description is likening her to a Volcano. A monster with the heart of uncontrolled lava, wrapped in a pyroclastic flow, just waiting to show you who is boss. An uncontrollable force, that can wipe you out without even the slightest emotional twitch. She has also been described as a cold blooded killer. Jason isn’t one to talk about herself, and doesn’t like nosey parkers. She is always armed, one prosthetic leg carries her choice of sniping crossbow, her arrows can be found in her other leg prosthetic, and her choice of blades can be found in her prosthetic arm. | Personal History | Many people believe that Jason Tanner was not born, she was created from someone’s worst nightmare. However, she wasn’t. A deep space transporter was found by a group of less than scrupulous individuals drifting battered, and wounded in deep space. Investigating the wreck, those same unscrupulous individuals came upon a lone survivor, a small bundle wedged inside an airtight storage crate, wrapped in cloth. Declaring her to be Jason Tanner, after the name of the two men who found her she was taken onboard the Volcanic Eruption, and that was where she grew up. Jason had no legs, from just below her hips or right hand, arm and shoulder. She lived without these until she was five, when a craftsmen onboard created her first set of prosthetics. When she was seven a permanent right shoulder was medically set, into which her choice of prosthetic was able to be fitted. Later that same year, what little leg stumps she had were removed and replaced with permanent fixings were medically fitted into new hips, onto which various artificial prosthetic legs could be fitted. Receiving no formal education, Jason spent her childhood and teenage years onboard the Volcanic Eruption. Her education came in the form of on the job training, she chewed on engineering parts, played with unstable explosives, learnt to handle, build, and use weapons from all different species. Generally grew up on the opposite side of Starfleet. Jason grew up thinking that it was normal to hijack, kill, kidnap, and capture others, to sell them into slavery. At the age of eight she became the focus of the attention of one of the more unsavoury crew members, who decided that she would make the perfect bedmate. Jason objected, two weeks after the man’s intention was first made public, he was found with his throat slit in one of the cargo bays. Many of the crew decided that there was no possible way an eight year old could kill in such a manner, and put his death down to another crew member. At the age of twelve, Jason knew the Volcanic Eruption like the back of her hand, and usually could be found following someone around, silently watching them. It was shortly after her twelfth birthday that her ability to learn by watching others became apparent. Many of the crew put that to use, extending her knowledge by letting her watch them perform tasks, some of them startled to find out how quickly she could pick things up by simply watching. An explosion in one of the cargo bays, resulted in four deaths, and it was Jason's first taste of emergencies. With the ship divided into two, by the resulting damage, it was Jason, (due to her size) that was sent through the mangled mess to see what she could do. Within three years, she was holding the position of unofficial Chief Engineer on the Volcanic Erruption, after the death of the previous Chief Engineer. When four replacement Chief Engineer’s appointed by the Volcanic Eruption’s Owner, died of suspicious circumstances, he found himself up against his appointed Captain, and the older crew. Relenting, Volcanic Eruption’s owner agreed to leave the status quo for the moment. Rumours were rife through dedicated circles, that Volcanic Eruption’s Owner sold out the crew, on Jason's sixteenth birthday. With only limited people knowing where the ship would be, she was confronted by a larger vessel, and destroyed. Everyone was sure that all crew died onboard, but when a teenager fitting Jason's description was seen two months later just shy of the death of the Volcanic Eruption’s Owner, people began to wonder. But they wondered in silence. There were plenty of captain’s who were willing to take on the teenager, and over the next eleven years, Jason worked on thirty six vessels, holding various positions from Engineer, Damage Control Engineer, Cargo handler, Bounty Hunter, Debt Collector, Armourer, Weapon-smith, Combat Tactical Officer, Training Specialist, Dead Diver, Logistical Responder, Medical Technician, Science Specialist trained in Infectious Diseases, Anatomical, Clinical and Molecular Pathology, Biological and Chemical warfare, Entomological Warfare, Entomology, Toxicology, Trauma Responder, Logistics, Trauma Responder, Total War Specialist, Expeditionary Manoeuvre Warfare, EOD & UXO, Clearance Diving through to Assassin and Killer for hire. Not all of the Captains who took her own were illegal or black marketeers, though some were. She also worked for several Mercenary units who filled in the blanks in her knowledge. At the age of twenty seven she accepted a contract to kill a member of the S-EXPRESS Organisation, only to find that he was holding prisoner six members of a Starfleet Investigation Team, and had been holding them for fifteen months to stop Starfleet from interfering in his business, making out they were dead. Completing her contract, she freed the team and was offered a position with Starfleet Marines when, taking them back to her current organisation, they found out her history and what she was capable of. |

| Service Record | Entered Starfleet Marine Corr aged twenty seven. Assigned SEAL Team Nine as a Clearance Diver/EOD/Sniper – using Dead Diving Techniques instead of standard SEAL Aquatic Breathers. Assigned Primary Sniper at age thirty five with a Marine Unit on the USS Toongabbie. Assigned to USS Erupting Star at the age of thirty nine as Marine Team Leader. With the purpose to supply any necessary Defensive Abilities. Assigned back to the SFMC Academy to write manuals, lecture, educate, train, teach but still allowed time to maintain her knowledge Assigned to the 14th Battalion UFP Marine Corps as Marine Executive Officer and Marine Instructor. References: If you’re looking for someone who won’t turn tail and run at the first sign of trouble, then I can recommend Tanner. However new employers should be warned, that she can erupt without notice. Tell her what you want her to do, and let her do it. She doesn’t take kindly to being babysat. – Captain Harriott One of the best crew I’ve ever had working for me. She knew her way around the old freighter, and as long as she was left alone, and paid, there was no problems. – Captain Dennis Cartwright. Doesn’t look like butter would melt in her mouth. Caught out quite a few of the men, who thought she’d make a great bed warmer, didn’t really mind their loss, though some of the crew did object to the way she killed them. But when you weighed up what you got, the hanging body parts, were a small price to pay – Captain Ainsley Morris. Looks like an angel. Has a body of a goddess. Erupts like a Volcano. Kills like a pyroclastic flow. Causes less problems, than many others. Just make sure you pay her. – Captain Leslie Bartlett If you’re after someone who likes solo jobs, then you’re on the right tract. Jason Tanner prefers to watch paint dry then be social, but be warned, her mood swings are unannounced, happen quickly and can cost you nosey crew. – Captain Clay Markham. An out of the ordinary Marine who has a background that puts a lot of experienced marines to shame. Once you get used to not asking questions about it, and accept what you get you get along fine. Some of her training routines seem out of place against marine standard training, but it works well with what we do, once you realise her background. Her preference to snipe with a crossbow is something that raises eyes but she has no problems hitting her targets. - Colonel Grey Aqee. Without being aware of the fact that she has two artificial legs and one artificial arm, you'd never know until she wore something other than clothing and gloves which hide that fact. The fact that she can change all three prosthetics at will dependent upon her assignment, and is never without weapons which are fitted into those prosthetics.
