John doesn't like to lose, specially in a firefight. This sometimes leads to him giving the order to retreat later then he should. |

| Personal History | John was born on july 21st 2363 (stardate 40551.74) on board the USS George Washington while his father was the Assistent Chief Tactical Offer and his mother a Medical Officer there. He was the second child to Edward and Wilhelmina Demarck. Four years earlier his brother Chris was born. Two years after John their little sister Julie was welcomed into the galaxy. John as overjoyed when Julie was born and he was extremely protective of her. Even at his young age. As they all grew up this over-protectiveness showed itself. Julie was just 16 when she went on a date with a guy from class. This was on starbase 118 when their mother was stationed there. The guy forced himself on her. Julie managed to fight him off but before security arrived the guy was gone. When John and Chris got back to their quarters and found Julie on the floor crying, her cloths ripped they knew what had happened. Enraged they sought out this guy and started beating him. After a couple of minutes a young ensign entered the room and called for security. John and Chris were taken into custody. Their actions were a big problem for them. John was in his second year at the academy and Chris was in his 4th year. Thankfully the CO of the base saw something in the two of them and when he found out what the reason for this beating was he managed to protect the boys by covering up their actions. To this day both John and Chris feel they own everything to commander Charley Rhodes. After Johns gratuation from Starfleet Academy, where he went to medical school, he was stationed aboard the USS Linus Torvalds as a Assistant Chief Medical Officer. The Chief Medical Officer, a Lieutenant John knew from the academy where she was in her fourth year when John just started, was an intelligent and capable doctor. In the three years he was there Alexis taught him everything she knew. During that time John and Alexis fell in love. They knew it was against regulations because she was his commanding officer but they did it anyway. Together they had 2,5 wonderful years. John rose in the rank quickly. After just over two years he got his Lieutenant pip. He then got transferred to the USS Einstein as Assistant Chief Medical Officer. He didn't want to leave the Linus Torvalds because that meant leaving Alexis. They tried to stay in tough but after a year they both made the decision to end their relationship. |
