Rank Lieutenant JG

Character Information

Gender Female
Species Human
Age 34
Serial Number H62309841BB

Physical Appearance

Height 5'9"
Weight 134 lbs
Hair Color Blonde
Eye Color Blue
Physical Description Mina is in a constant struggle to keep herself at a particular look, thinner than the normal human female, but not waifish. It's a personal struggle that she's managed to keep on the victorious side of. She eschews the term 'diet' instead contenting herself with as much exercise as she can get to keep her body in control of itself. Her bright blonde hair gives her a natural advantage in her line of work, as it can accept coloring readily without altering the desired effect. Her baby-blue eyes are likewise suited for her roles, taking to colored contact lenses with ease. She has refused to get any sort of tattoos and had childhood scarring erased so as to have no identifying marks at all.

She is able to alter her appearance virtually at will(given the appropriate amount of time to prepare with makeup and colorings), except of course for her height. Her training and skill in the acting profession (of which she has thus far managed to keep secret from all but those who can see her whole file) has given her the ability to be virtually flawless with this ability.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Mina is a woman of amorphous properties, including her personality. While she's no shape-changer, she owns the ability to change her personality at will on the drop of a pin. This stems from her training and history as an actress and singer before she joined Starfleet. Her 'base' personality, the one that she herself(mentally) calls 'Mina' is of a reserved sort, neither outgoing nor standoffish. This isn't to say that she isn't bubbly and friendly most of the time, because there are fewer better ways to gather information than to be outgoing and harmless in appearance. As people get to know her on a personal level, they tend to find out that she's the sort that would do anything for a friend or colleague, but few get close enough to her to actually get to see beyond what she desires them to.
Strengths & Weaknesses +The ability to 'become' someone else in both visual and personality aspects
+Singing- She's got a wonderful soprano voice, but rarely sings in public...
+Observational skills- the better to gather information and intuit information

-Inexperienced in combat situations
-Knows a little about a lot, but a lot only about a few things. (general knowledge, not a lot of specific)
Ambitions To blend in with everyone at every time. Let her reputation speak for itself.
Hobbies & Interests Singing
Ice skating
Dancing

Personal History April 1st, 2360, Mina Altair was born outside of Sydney, Australia to parents of Norwegian descent and grew up with an older brother, as well as being joined at the age of six by a little sister, with another one coming two years later. Mina learned the art of ice skating when she was little, as her brother was into junior hockey at that point, but never really got heavily into that except as a form of relaxation. When she was eight years old, her family moved halfway across the world to Minnesota in the old United States, so that her brother could go to a school that offered hockey as one of their major sports. It was there that Mina found that she had something she yearned after herself: The art of acting.

She gained the lead part in virtually every school play and musical from the time she was nine until she was fourteen years old when her brother was promoted to junior league hockey after being drafted in the fourth round of the NHL draft by the San Jose Sharks, but obviously not being ready at the age of sixteen. The family moved once again, this time to the city of San Luis Obispo in California, where Mina was immediately put into tryouts for the next musical performance as a freshman in high school. Unbeknownst to her, there were people in the the crowd at her first performance of Wicked as Elphaba that took notice of her.

Mina went off on a tangent for several years with another career, but when she was twenty-five decided to apply to Starfleet Academy.

She was accepted and after completing a series of aptitude tests was immediately put into the Intelligence track rather than one of the more mainstream sections, segregated from much of the rest of the students except for courses in common, but with her skills and abilities, found that she was natural at blending into places, one of her assignments at the Academy being to spend a semester AS someone else, taking core courses as them, living and breathing as a completely different person without being found out.

Upon graduation, Ensign Mina Altair was assigned to the USS Marian P Woldt, a specialized Norway-class ship assigned for boring duties as an analyst and courier and intelligence gathering center. She performed her duties to the best of her abilities on the Woldt, named after one of the officers who gave her life in the defense of the Federation at Wolf 359 against the Borg. In June of 2390, Mina was called back to Terra Nova to infiltrate a drug smuggling operation that had been vexing the security services to no end. She spent six months worming her way deep into the organization before getting information out about the operation and how far it stretched. It was April 3rd, two days after her 31st birthday when she was to meet with her sole contact to the Fleet, when she discovered her dead in an alley a block away from where they were to meet. On her own, Mina went to one of the closest Fleet bases and bluffed her way in as 'Lieutenant Commander Laura Meyers' of Intelligence, coordinating a cleanup on the smuggling operation by calling in Fleet units.

She was reassigned after an extensive debrief to the Bonaventure, an Akira-class ship as another analyst with a promotion up to Junior Grade Lieutenant. Another year and a few months later, she was once again reassigned to other duties, usually data pickups and other minor assignments where she could use her undercover skills and most often out of uniform, but typically in the Sol system. She was reassigned to the USS Beowulf, a Sovereign-class starship that was in the Galactic South region before a few months later being assigned to Starbase duty on one of the most massive starbases out there: Starbase 332.
