Siren's Call Pt. 1

Kris picked up the PADD and pushed a button. She waited for the briefing to begin. In a garbled voice, the transmission began. "Hello Kris." An image of a man appeared. "This is Ambassador John Micheal of the Federation Diplomatic Corps. He is also one of the Diplomats most responsible for the concessions that the Federation has been giving the Cardassian Union for the last two years. This singular individual has placed Federation Colonies under Cardassian Rule, and now our colony has intelligence that he is planning to return to the Federation Embassy on Cardassia Prime." The Voice Noted.

"However, for this mission, we will not issue any orders of termination. If Ambassador Micheal were to be terminated, intentionally or by accident, then another would take his place and press the same agenda that favors the Federation Core Worlds and leaves our Colonies undefended. For this mission, we give you a special order to disgrace Ambassador Micheal by staging an illicit affair with members of the Cardassian Diplomatic Staff." The Voice also stated. "We need to have it go public so the Ambassador would be thoroughly disgraced in the eyes of the Federation Core Worlds. This would eventually prompt the Diplomatic Corps into dismissing Ambassador Micheal and taking a more pragmatic stance toward the Cardassians."

Kris did not like what was being proposed, but she had no choice. Orders were orders. "If we succeed, less concessions will be made, and the Maquis will loose recruitment opportunities should Micheal have agreed to more concessions. Execute this mission with your usual care Agent."

Kris put the PADD down and thought a moment. She would have to arrange this very carefully, and she would have to find a way for the Federation to find out about it that leaves no question of the affair's authenticity.
