Undercover Boss pt1
Posted on Fri Mar 3rd, 2017 @ 2:07pm by Lieutenant Commander Craig Travis
Mission:
Shadows and Whispers
Location: Alexander's
Travis had told his Yeoman that he was going off base and taking a trip to the planet to check things out down there. He had packed a small bag and had made sure people saw him leave the office in some regular street cloths.
He made his way towards the docks for his “Shuttle”. There was no shuttle and Travis wasn’t going anywhere. He was using it as an excuse to make his people think he was leaving grounds. Best way to truly observe what is going on is by seeing them work when they didn’t know anyone was watching. Once he felt he had played up the game long enough he turned a corner and took a lift to deck 1399 where he had rented out a civilian room under his assumed name Clinton Portis.
When he found his room he put the bag down on the bed and got out his kit that he used to apply some facial hair and a wig on so he was not recognizable. After switching out his cloths some more he looked in the mirror and was pretty sure no one, especially this far down, was going to notice him. He switched out his IDs to Portis and headed back out in the shuffle.
Travis made his way towards a lift as he walked by a couple rooms he could smell some real funk in the walkways. He tried his best to not break his cover but when he heard a loud altercation taking place in one of the rooms. He stopped and listened. He was pretty sure he heard the altercation turn physical. He was going to use his passcode to open the door when he heard boots on the ground coming down the walkway. He got out of the way as a security detail, must have already been dispatched, made their way on scene. He left them to do their jobs and continued to his destination.
He finally arrived at deck 1869, better known as Alexander’s. He made his was in and found while movement down in the lower levels was very sparse Alexander’s was much busier than he had expected. He didn’t see an open table so he made his way up to the bar and when given the chance he ordered a drink. He turned and watched as people where playing table and card games, socializing, and even what looked like some business deals being done.
Travis noticed there were a couple back rooms on the far side of the club. Both had rather large doormen standing outside them. One room had a pair of Klingons outside the door. The other had a pair of random meatheads. He figured that this would be where many of the issues that were happening down here started.
As he was people watching he noticed a very well dressed Deltan come out and greet a couple of shady looking men at a table. After a brief conversation the men followed the Deltan as he went into the backroom. Travis saw so much that needed to be investigated. He was just going to finish his drink when he saw his Cargo Section Chief, LTjg Warren Harper, emerge from the Klingon back room with a very large Klingon. They briefly embraced and Harper made his way out of the club. Now Travis had more questions than answers. He enjoyed his drink and headed back to his room.
