Mission:
Commissioned
Location: Callis III, Cardassian Space
Timeline: Current
Kris hated the Cardassian Disguise, but it was needed. Humans tended to attract unwanted attention in Cardassian space. Especially when she was about to execute a Cardassian Military Officer. She had tracked Glinn Narvek to a tavern where the officers frequented when they were off duty. Narvek was one of the regulars there, and he would usually be seen leaving with his latest mistress for the evening. One thing was for sure, some of his mistresses were never seen alive again.
Kris was determined not to disappear, but to deal with the Glinn in short order. All she had to do was to wait for the good Glinn to leave his his latest prostetute and then track him to his bed. The Bar itself was shady. With many scantly-clad prostitutes within. After a while, the Glinn entered and approached one of the prostitutes, a Katarian, and began the process of paying for her 'services'.
She watched as they exchanged conversation. They then began to drink themselves into oblivion. The Glinn had almost five glasses of Kanar, and the Prostitute had just as much. Obviously she could handle liquor pretty well. But with the Cardassian in the drunken state, it would make it easier to execute him.
They stood and stumbled out of the bar. Kris promptly stood, put several pieces of Cardassian Currency on the table, and followed. As they stumbled, they couldn't comprehend that death was not far behind. She waited until they were out of sight. Kris then caught a break, they turned down a vacant alleyway. She began to run forward. They were too drunk to react or notice. The Glinn was grabbed by behind. A smooth reaction and the sound of the Glinn's vertebrae detaching was heard.
The Katarian was shocked, she stumbled away, looking at the assassin. Kris stared back at the Prostitute, her dead eye stare piercing the woman's soul. Filling her with a primal fear that only a predator could inspire in the mind of the hunted. Kris walked forward and the woman recoiled. "Run." She said simply, "Run. Now." The Katarian took off, running like she had seen a ghost.
The prostitute was not a problem. Eventually the Cardassians will find the body and they'll naturally suspect the prostitute. She'd be executed instantly, for anyone who had ever experienced a Cardassian Enigma Tale knew what Cardassian justice was. It's was not about who was guilty or innocent. The point was finding out what one was guilty of.
