Mission: The Pak'Leth Problem
Location: Deck 13,Primary Security Offices

[ON]

Looking around his new office he sighed. A few weeks ago he was assigned as head instructor of a new Academy annex with the temporary rank of Lieutenant Commander. And then things had changed having just left his last assignment the Eagle. En route he was told that the Annex was approved during the dominion war and though it was to be a security training facility the automated system appointed him as best choice, it was redesignated a few months ago as a science annex. So he was set back to his old rank and reassigned. Now he was stuck on a big space station as security officer. Starbase 332 was a big station and now he had a few options.

one of the options was to remain on the starbase train the security staff and do his best and hope that Starfleet would remember that he was now assigned as a simple security officer. He had met some similar faces when he reported in and even though he was just a security officer at least he was assigned his own office.

He looked around and then nodded it was bigger then his closet space they called on office on the eagle. He also was trying to catch up with the security issues. In the last few days he did get a feel for security work he had three domestic disturbance on deck 753. Six marines with hangovers and bruises in the brig. So to say he was bored would be an understatement.

He looked up as a he saw a familiar face enter his office.

"What can I do for you Cadet Nordstrom?" he said as he sat back in his chair.

"Ensign now, sir, I graduated a year ago, sir." She said with a big smile.

"Sorry, force of nature. Most of the ensigns here I have trained so I feel like I am sometimes back at the academy. So what Can I do for you, ensign?" he grabbed a few padds and checked them.

"The admiral wants to have a word with you, sir." She said looking at him.

"Okay, when? I though I taught you better. Or do I need to remind you of your lessons in adressing a senior officer, ensign. Sjeesh, 1 year away from the academy and they forgot everything." He said with a grin on his face.

"Right now, sir, you'll have to hurry sir." she said, she was familiar with O'Connell's sense of humour. "I wouldn't try to pull that on the admiral, sir, never met him, but they tend to have no sense of humour, sir."

"It will be fine I'm used to the brass they used to bother me 24/7 at the academy, your supposed to patrol the promenade in a few hours so you hurry up and do you job Kate and Mister O'Connell will head towards this admiral. Oh and tell Chief T'kuras to release those marines if they are sober enough." He stood up and head for the nearest turbolift.

"Aye-Aye,sir. You want the one you beat into to sickbay to be released as well no charges?" she said in wonderment. The scuttle butt was that while O'Connell was doing his round he was challenged by six drunk marines and had overpowered them in under ten minutes.

"No charges! He ran into his buddy's fist and then into a wall himself. Same goes for the rest they where drunk and they never laid a finger on me." Sean grinned as he entered the turbo lift. "besides I think their gunny will give them hell for be being beaten by a simple security officer."he nodded to nordstrom. "Deck 12, I wonder what the admiral wants?"

"please repeat destination. 'deck12iwonderhwattheadmiralswants' is not a valid destination." the computer said.

"Deck 12!" he smiled. 'one of these days I am going to have a word with the guys who installed these lifts third time in my whole life this happened.' he muttered to himself.
