Research: New Methods

Posted on Fri Mar 23rd, 2012 @ 2:50pm by Lieutenant JG Erica De'Havean

Mission: The Mystery Men of Mira
Location: SB 332 - Holodeck 24

Erica moved through the station to the holodecks reserved for training and other fleet business. She carried with her the data on the Defiant Class, USS Jackal stats and perfomance records to see if she could improve her perfomance in battle and trying out new techniques.

She entered the desired Holo-deck she had reserved for several hours for training and developement of new flight techniques using existing systems of the desired ship she wsa currently assigned to. Pausing just inside the enterance, she uploaded the data into the holo-deck computers.

Once the computer signaled the information was uploaded and named, it gave a soft beep of being ready for use.

"Begin," Erica spoke softly, turning as the holodeck came alive with the Bridge of the USS Jackal....

Holo-deck Scenerio 1

Erica brought the USS Jackel out of warp speeds and keeping the warp nacelles active, she began to maneuver the Jackal by using the warp magnetic fields along with impulse and RSC thrusters. She worked the controls with an ease of a concertist piano player.

After a few hours of working out the glitches and an overheating Warp Core reactor from using alot of reaction mass to sustain the warp fields for sublight manuevering. She frowned as she sat there going through the data results. It seamed that the ship wanted to use the Impulse/RSC Thrusters more than using the Warp Magnetic Feild being produced by the Nacelle Warp Bussards to move the ship in the desired direction.

She wrinkled her muzzle gently and then reset everything for another run at it. This time she purposely disabled the RSC Thrusters and using the warp Magnetic feilds to move the ship through the desired evasive maneuvers and attack runs.

She smiled as her paw/hands flew over the controls, seeing each maneuver work out smoothly. But the energy requirements were very high and alot of Grav Dampners were being blown and other systems were being denied power to keep the ship functioning as it should.

"Miaow!" Erica growled at the results. Looking thoughtful, looking through the rest of the reports and data accummulated through the trails.

End Holo-deck Scenerio 1

Erica stood up, "Arch, End program and save. Send data to De'Havean's Data Storage, Accessable by me only." Watching the holo-deck return back to it's ready state of yellow lines outling the grid.

She exited the Holo-deck and moved through the station, heading for some personal time before going through the data accummulated during her holo-deck scenerio.
