Arriving on the Edge

Mission: The Mystery Men of Mira
Location: Various

::ON::

It was a long trip for Brenda. The medication she took before she departed Cestus III would only last so long, But she had survived this trip to the star base. Her Two assistants had been very helpful. The Danube shuttle had a very small crew and Fosters party made for a cramped journey.
Brenda had seen a few pictures of Star Base Threshold but it was nothing compared to the real thing at all. This place was in a class all by itself. Traveling through the large open doors seemed like driving into a major city at night with all of its skyscrapers fully lit. Thousands of people lived here. Some had been born here and were raising their own family's now. It was just unbelievable to see the largest of starships parked inside one structure. One of the producers was shooting film and the reaction of the passengers as they made their first arrival.
The shuttle found a spot on the parking padd and set down as light as a feather. Brenda was ready with a quick toss of her hair and a bright smile on her face. It was late in the last watch on Threshold but the timing was perfect. By morning she would be settled in her new quarters and ready to get started.
Passing through customs went quickly as was expected of her celebrity status. She was asked several questions about her baggage and her health. Brenda's credentials were checked and she waited patiently as her crew was processed.
Her luggage when by and soon she was entering her suite. I was pretty grand really and several rooms with a stunning view out large windows. Of course she knew what to expect as the contract was very clear. If she was going to be planted out here on the station she would be very comfortable.
Her office dressing room and studio were located down the passageway passed a security checkpoint manned at all times. Her producer was in constant communications with the network. She didn't want his job, as his stress level was close to sub atomic..
She showered and dived into bed for a few hours of sleep before running through some sound checks at the studio and starting taping her broadcasts in the next few days. She would be doing One segment a day from the station and working on a documentary called Life on The Edge. She was very excited but finally drifted of to sleep.
