Work Order 170/22

Posted on Mon Apr 30th, 2012 @ 1:13pm by Lieutenant Reggie Eito

Mission: The Mystery Men of Mira
Location: Deck 172 External Docking Port

::On::

Reggie Eito stood at the observation windows. He was watching one of the boom operators maneuver a large hydraulic joint into position on the lower platform of the dock platform. A tricky maneuver to say the least.. Com was good between the operator and his spotters. In the final position the operator wouldn't be able to see the target pins and was directed in very slowly.

Eito watched as several workbee's were standing by to complete the assembly of the platform. He had several engineers with him observing the task but they remained silent. Reggie guessed they had heard of his harsh treatment of a few of the supervisors when he took command. This current project would take several more hours to complete and test to ensure things would work properly. He glanced over to a Lieutenant.

"Lieutenant, whats your duty station today?" Eito's voice was calm and direct.

"Sir I'm the standby boom operator.. Just in case we need a backup Sir." His voice was a bit shaky.

Eito nodded. "Very well. Please take charge of this work order and let me know if you have any problems. When you are completely satisfied with the task inform flight control they can have their external dock back."

The Lieutenant looked panicked at being in charge of such a delicate process. And Reggie picked up on his feeling quickly.

"Your operator is very good. Slow and easy. Your going to be fine." He patted the Lieutenant on the back and headed towards the lift.

Eito's next visit was the damage control section. He had been receiving reports from them on a regular basis as he requested, just to keep a good com channel with them. After a few hour watching them conduct egress drills he was impressed with their skills in handling most moderate emergencies on the station. However when it came to hull breach or deck collapse they were out of their league.

Reggie was exploring some areas of the station off the beaten path. Walking down a long corridor he could have sworn he saw a Marine run through a junction at high speed.. Eito stopped, Yes he could here the footfalls of boots fade off in the distance. Strange.
