Location: SB 332, Deck 121 Marine Breifing Room

The Chief Engineer walked around the large open space for several minutes. Taking a few glances at what was a good sized drill area used by the Marines. Reggie made a few notes on his padd in an effort to capture the dimensions of the area in question before The Head Marine showed up..

He wasn't waiting long, A set of doubled door slid open and major Gifford entered the room. He was alone and holding a padd. "Hello Eito, welcome to the station. Sorry I haven't been to see you yet."

"No problem Major. It has been quite busy for us the last week. I came down as soon as I could. What can I assist the Marines with today." Reggie knew it had to be deck modifications, really the only thing they could ask of him. The Marines had a good sized Group of engineers in the Battalion but he was unsure of there abilities off planet..

Gifford walked as he explained his vision. "Hoping we can convert this area into a combat information area. Running a battalion off the station can be a problem as no area of the station is available to coordinate large efforts of moving Troops at several different locations at once. I was thinking four independent stations with a main console. A area of cubicals for support functions. We posses a large tactical map screen we would like to start using with a computer overlay system for fire support." The Major was watching the Engineer very closely to see if the man was getting overloaded with information. By the look Eito was displaying it almost appeared he was aware of the plan..

"I'm sure we can make some rapid changes to this area as long as it's not a complex render. I would suggest a backup power supply to keep it rolling. The area will be technically non-assentail to my power grid. But I don't want to see you getting shut down at all."

"Outstanding, I have a few Artificers available if you need the manpower."

Lieutenant Eito smiled. "This is a quick build Major The consoles will take your controllers mush longer to install their operating systems than the time it takes to wheel them in here and bolt them down. I'll keep you powered an you'll have a good back up. My only question is where are your Marines going to conduct drill?

Gifford smiled and turned to Eito. "Our marine unit here on the station really won't be performing drill anymore. Really no need for it anymore. Their mission is conducted in battle gear. The difficult part is keeping track of them. Hence the need to convert this area to make it more useful to our mission here." John saw the engineer nod his approval with the plan.

"I regret I have to get moving Lieutenant, but if you need anything just let me know."

The Major turned and was out of the area quickly, off on another detail of concern for the Battalion.
