Passive Retaliations - Pre-Invasion

Mission: Reindeer Games
Location: Akiashiro Deck (1403)

Akiashiro Elder, Raphiel Akiashiro, growled as another report of transporter beam-in to an occupied appartment with the occupants still inside. They was beaming them in past the Security Blockade at the only turbolift access to the floor. He reached across the desk and pressed the transmit button onhis intercom, "Get me Nyubi!" He released the button and leaned back in his chair, swiveling it sideways to the desk and the holo-picture of snow covered forested lands with Mt Fuji rising into the clear blue sky with it woolen cap of snow.

"Yes sir!" Came soft feminine voice back from the intercom speaker.

Raphiel looked thoughtful as he studied the holo-picture of Mt. Fuji and the serene countryside, regaining his omposure. It was rare that he lost his temper, but when he did, everyone suffered. He stood up as he glanced at his electronic schedule screen showing his appointments for the day. He scowled as he paced his route to burn off the extra energy that his temper produced.

Soon the door to his office chimed, interupting his calming technique process, He growled, "Enter." Glancing towards the door, seeing Nyubi enter when it opened to allow him to enter. He nodded, motioning Nyubi to a seat as he paced like a caged tiger seeing prey so close yet prevented from the chase to sate the predator instinct.

Nyubi nodded and took his usual seat against the wall where he could watch Elder Akishiro pace, without a word, knowing that Raphiel will speak once he was good and ready to to talk.

"You know about the problems we're having with the Fleet by assigning Outsiders to Akiashiro Deck?" Raphiel glanced at Nyubi patiently sitting there attentive.

Nyubi just nodded, knowing full well what the problem was. Everyone had experience the invasion of those not authorized to be living on the Akiashiro Deck, at one time or another and they was becoming more and more frequent.

"I... Want... It... Stopped!" He snapped out each word as his temper flaired, "they're bypassing our security at the turbolifts by beaming them in. Already we're being pushed to the limits as Eric reported just a few moments ago. He can't pull his people from the Central Section. Already there is less security in Warp 12, at our space docks, and warehouses to evict these squatters from Our Level!"

Nyubi sat there calmly, weathering the storm like a rock, mind churning rapidly to come up with a solution. "We place Transporter Inhibitors about the level so they can't beam them in." Speaking calmly in his manner. Seeing the puzzled look from the Elder. "Like the ones they use in the brig cells to prevent prisoners from being transported out of them by their partners. In this case, to prevent beam-ins. This way they're forced to use the turbolifts to get to this floor, Elder."

Raphiel paused in his pacing to listen to what Nyubi was saying. "How soon can you get started?" Hope flaired in his eyes as he swiveled to look at Nyubi.

Nyubi smiled softly, "I've been installing them scince the first influx of Starfleet Military and Civilians began to arrive. Completed about three quarters of the deck, starting with the outer ring and working my way towards the center. Which is the last, because of the constant flow of people and sentient beings occupying the area where we need to place our equipment to work."

Raphiel stormed over to his desk, stabbing the transmit button, "Get. Me. Eric. Now!" He snapped into the comlink to his secetary.

As Raphiel lifting his finger from the transmit button, he heard the door open and closed, Eric entered and moved to a seat next to Nyubi as Raphiel spun to face him. "I want the center section cleared so Nyubi can get to work installing transporter inhibitors in the central area, now!" Raphiel ordered, glaring at the two Akiashiro men sitting there watching him.

They both nodded and scurried from the office to comply with the orders from the Elder.
