Mission: Vagrants, Vagabonds, and Thieves
Location: Deck 1403 : Akiashiro Deck

::Samanthia's Apartment::

Samanthia paced like a caged tiger, feeling restless and antsy as she thought on the loss of the lounge Warp-12. She was in her usual attire for being alone in her apartment. Just enough to be decent if an unexpected visiter dropped by or she had to respond to an emergancy that drives all thought from mind about personal decorum in clothing.

She still had the Dive down on the lower decks and that was pretty much self - policing of those that decide to squat there. They was simply thrown out of the bar.

After pacing for a bit to get the creative juices flowing, Samanthia stood before the viewport out into the eternal night of space. Seeing more ships that had arrived and with no intentions of departing, unless the demands of expences drove them to find a better sourtce of money. A lot of them sat there as derelicts with their little insectiod crews swarming over them to repair damage they've recieved from the Sorjourn's Advancement as they fled with refugees.

Unsure of what the future held. Samanthia added a new item to her list of things to get accomplished. Find a place to store her extra stuff that she liked to keep, but didn't use. She spun on her heels a full circle to take in the apartment of what she could see.

A lot of stuff could easily be stored and not be missed or made her sad. She listened to the station news and it was bleak about how the station personnel should be more understanding of those that were displaced. She scowled as the Refugees were just moving into places that was either ruining business and making the residentual area unsafe.

She gave thought to her position with 'Mr. Isotep'. She knew the stations gangs were busy taking advantage of the refugees, fleecing them for what ever they could get off them. She wondered how many had left on Orion controlled ships to lose their freedom for the promise of a better life elsewhere.

She looked out the viewport into space in time to see a ship disappear into FLT, heading away from the station, deeper into the Federation space. She wondered if she would be on the next one. As she had nothing to hold her here.

She smiled softly at the picture of her and Sivity dressed to seduce the male population of the Dive and any male crossed their path. It was promising friendship, except over the stupid cargo of some smuggled contraband drinks.

In the short time she was with Sivity, she felt a kinship. Two lost souls finding their niche in the grand scheme of things. If 'Mr. Isotep and whomever he worked for had their way, Samanthia would've never met her.

"Blah!" Samanthia spat out, "Whot was done is done!"

She moved to the spare bedroom that she used for storage and went through her collection of Kimonos.
Searching through them carefully, she found the perfect one to fit her mood. Colors were in somber pastal in the shades of light pinks and yellows with a splash of bold black and reds.

Samanthia took the time to freshen up and do her hair properly in the tradional fashion with a wide stream of her black hair falling neatly to midback. She took her time in putting on the kimono properly as she had been taught. She smiled at the reflection of herself in the full length mirror. She gave herself a nod of approval after making a few minor adjustments.

:: Tamarue Akiashiro Domain ::

Samanthia entered the Domain of Tamarue, wher eshe held court over the domestic side of the deck. As usual there was soft oriental music playing as a calming influence of those that entered into the suite of open interconnecting rooms. She looked over those that were present as they looked at her. Some gave open nods of approval as others just looked at her with their blank expressions.

"Daughter Samanthia! What a delight to see! Come! Come!" Tamarue spoke up in delight at seeing a new face in her domain. "It's about time you came to see me! I wondered if you fell off the station!"

Tamarue heaved herself to her feet and moved to her. She looked Samanthia over with an approving nod and gave her a quick hug and enjoyed a hug from Samanthia.

Samanthia gave Tamarue a quick perfunctary hug and released her. They both moved to a more private area in the suite of room. She kept quiet as she took a seat on floor sitting pillow, next to Tamarue. "Just been busy as of late and scheduling new school courses at the Archia University."

"You should spend more time here. I heard about the loss of your club to the vermin that just moved in and took it over. Raphael is quite upset about that!" Tamarue spoke indignantly as she got comfortable and serving tea to her guest.

"Things will get back to normal. For now, it gives me a break to focus on more important matters, Mother Tamarue." Samanthia spoke softly accepting the steaming tea on its little saucer. Enjoying the soft aroma of the tea as she breathed in the soothing scent along with the steam. "Also time for my new classes I'm taking on Archa 4."

"It's been ages scince I've set foot on a planet!" Tamarue exclaimed as she poured herself a cup of soothing tea.

"next time I go, I'll make sure tyo bring you along for the ride. So you can spend Daddy Raph's hard earned money." Samanthia smiled at Tamarue, taking a sip of the stilol hot tea.

Tamarue gave a soft womanly giggle at that. "I'd love it! You're such a pleasure to have around. So independant and young still. It not very healthy to being alone. You was so happy with that couple that shared your apartment awhile back."

"Nothing caught my interest yet." Samanthia shrugged . "They got called away to explore a new Archeological digsite."

"Do you write to them?" Tamarue glanced at Samanthia from the corner of her eyes. Feigning disinterest to get her talking.

"I don't have an address, nor location to send them any messages. Momma Tamarue." Samanthia wondered how Tamarue feel if she shacked up with another woman. "I'll send you my school schedule so you can plan a trip with me to the Archa IV." She openly changing the subject. "I even have an apartment so there would be no hurry to return to the station."

"I wouldn't want to impose on you, Daughter! I have to keep my husband's concubines inline! Why they would airs and think they were the number one wife here!" Tamarue exclaimed in mock shock as she placed a hand on her chest. "Chaos would rule supreme and my poor Rapheal would be so lost without me!"

Samanthia laughed as she sat her saucer and cup on the low table between them. "Oh I'm sure you could whip them back inline real quick!" Getting a smile from Tamarue.

Tamarue smiled as she nodded, "And don't forget that! I rule here!" More for the benefit of those eve dropping on their conversation than Samanthia. "You should visit more often. You're such a delight."

"Naw! You have so many others that can keep you company a lot better than I could. Besides I don't want to be a nuinance like the others are." Samanthis spoke softly as she picked up her cup and took another drink. Enjoying the time. Which to her amazement, she was really enjoying just talking with the older woman.

Tamarue rolled her eyes at the comment to show how true it was as the others were always invading Tamarue's space. "That is why I find you so appealing. You're so independant and reliant on yourself. You would make some husband a fine mate."

"I'm sure there will be the one who will sweep me off my feet and you can be the disapproving Mother-in-law." Samanthia spoke softly as she glanced around the room.

"And be secretly happy that you aren't all alone in your apartment! To provide more little grandchildren to spoil."

"I wish I could've met you sooner when I did have children. You'ld loved them dearly." Samanthia spoke softly with feelings that she kept bottled up. "Twin Daughters. Turning my hair grey with all the menfolks chasing them."

Tamarue nodded sagely as she reached across the table and patted Samanthia's thigh. "That is why you need to find yourself a man. To replace what was taken from you."

Samanthia looked up. "So far none has caught my interest." Idly spun the cup on the saucer she held.

"You aint getting any younger. Come to dinner with the family." Tamarue smiled secretively a her eyes gleamed with a sudden thought. "Scince you have nothing to keep you busy. Why don't you just hang out here with me. I could use a fresh perspective around here."

Samanthia looked thoughtful as she decided what she was going to do. "If I am not a bother..." Maybe stay for a few minutes longer as she was thinking about visiting The Dive.

"Oh no! You will not be a bother!" Tamarue interupted. "I see just a glimpse of you now and then. In passing. You're so busy and occupied with your business. It seams a shame to interfere. I wish the others were so industrial as you are. Instead of bothering an old woman!"

"Kick them out for some personal time to pursue an interest, Tamarue." Samanthia spoke up, setting the empty teacup and saucer on the table before her.

"They'll just find away to get around it," Tamarue refilled her cup with more steaming tea. "I'd would have to leave the station covertly to find time for myself."

"Come with me to the planet, if you don't mind sharing an apartment with me and my Landlord's Eldest Daughter?" Samanthia spoke softly. "I'm sure that Raphael will grow fonder of you when you return after missing out on your wisdom for a few days."

Tamarue nodded with her expression softening. "It's been ages scince I stepped foot on a planet scince leaving Earth." Tamarue fell into a thoughtful repose. Eyes getting that distant look. "I loved to go sit by the pond and watch the ducks for hours. Feeling the warm sun caressing me as the meadowlarks sang in the distance."

Samanthia sat there with her eyes closed, listening to Tamarue reminence about her past life as a child, living in the Earth Territory of China. Every once in awhile Samanthia would give a little of her past as a child in Hawaii, surfing, the warm Pacific Oceans and breezes. The hot sands as she hopped and skipped over the sunbaked sands. Her time on starships andstarbases.

Tamarue would listen with patience and interest of her Daughter by marriage that she knew so little about. She smiled at at the passion Samanthia keeps hidden from others. "You have an interesting life, Daughter Samanthia. I can see why my son fell in love with you so deeply that he left to strike out on his own, when he could have had everything handed to him here. Even though my daughters are a joy have around with their families."

Samanthia listened to Tamarue speak as she sipped her tea, openly taking in the decor of the place. She let the older matronly woman speak about her family's accomplishments. It was nice to just laze around without having to worry about running an establishment. It couldn't have come at a most oppertuned time to allow her to really focus on her schoolwork. Maybe she'll pick up the second class.

After finishing her second cup of tea and listening to Tamarue reminice, Family business intruded and Samanthia took her leave to head out and see what was happening on the station. Even though she had gotten a small dose of the rougher side.
