IC: Several Hours Later
Word had spread through out the station and the riot outside The Dive was quelled by Security once gain and richer to keep the place open with minor fines which were easily paid off within the hour, The Dive was open again for business. This time they didn't have to move.
Samanthia had recorked the Taittinger Pink and it sat on the shelf behind the bar half full to be served to those that could afford a glass or two. She sat at her usual spot where she could oversee the room, talking with the Section's Security Patrol Leader. A lot of the illicit dealings were put on hold till they left along with more of the very high stake games.
The patrol leader knew that all sorts of nefarious activity took place at the venue. therefore he deliberately took his time. He couldn't catch the crooks actually being so blatant as the break the law, but he could stop them for quite a while. Eventually though, his presence was demanded elsewhere and he left. He completely failed to recognise Sivity Dar-Barriun, despite the preponderance of fetishes and charms. In truth, he'd been too busy looking at her barely covered body to take particular notice of her face.
Sivity had had a fun night. She'd hit a few tables and card games and made a little latinum. Not much, but enough to put her in buoyant spirits. She'd decided to squander it on the champagne. She had no real use for the latinum otherwise. As before, her arrival did not go unnoticed. It never did. She made her way to the bar and sat down. The tiny transparent skirt only served to draw attention to the meagre thong. None of the clientele complained.
She smiled at Samanthia and deposited latinum on the bar. "I thought I'd finish that champagne. I do hope it is still cold." She said softly.
Samanthia nodded to the tender to bring it over with a two glasses as she swept the Latium off the counter top and deposited it the strongbox. "Might want to keep a few on hand. Or set up an account here for the remaining to draw upon?" Samanthia made note on electronic notepad the amount of Latium sections Sivity handed over. Most tenders or proprietors would just forget about it to rip off the customer.
A few of the Patrons, spotting Sivity, yelled out to her for repeat performance. Samanthia looked at Sivity, otherwise gave them a glare to leave the lady alone. The tender sat the bottle of Tait-Pink between them and the two stemmed wine glasses next to the bottle. He popped the cork carefully and then set it on the bar next to the Bottle.
"Yup it 's chilled still." Samanthia gave Sivity a smile as she sat the new com-badge/device with an new addition to it. A micro-field generator that could create an atmospheric bubble around a person in order to control the ambient temperature around them. She placed the device before Sivity. "It took me awhile to have this made." She placed a slip of paper with instruction on how to operate both it functions as it cover design as a com-badge and temperature control device. "Oh... you do have to recharge it every 16 hours or replace the power cell with anew one. May not last that long under heavy usage. It takes at least 8 hours to fully recharge."
It took Sivity by surprise. "Oh. Thank you. Given what I cost you, this is more than a little surprising." She replied. It was a 'nice to have' rather than 'need to have', but there would undoubtedly be times when it would prove very useful.
"Seeing as you are being so helpful, I would welcome you opinion on something." She began cryptically as she poured the fizz into two glasses. After tasting the sparkling liquid and setting her tall fluted glass down, she clarified her opening comment.
"I'm thinking about leaving: leaving the star base, leaving the job. Apart from our little bit of fun in the hangar and the occasional fight, it's just been report after report. To be honest, I have grown to hate it. The problem is, are there any jobs in star fleet that don't come with a ton of report reading and writing?" She blurted the whole thing out at once. Sure she'd met some interesting folk, not least the marines, but the bulk of her time was just so depressing. Perhaps it was the heat. Perhaps the new device would help her. Perhaps Samanthia, who'd been here a lot longer could suggest something better.
Samanthia thought for a few minutes as she sipped her glass of champagne. She shrugged, "It's no big deal. Just a hiccup and bad timing. I'm a person of my word." She gave thought to what Sivity said about paper work. Then she chuckles a bit. "Any job is like going to the bathroom. It's never complete till the paperwork is done. And higher you go, more it piles up. Should've gone enlisted, a whole lot less paper work till becoming a Midrange Non-Com. Then you start being chained to the desk. But if you give up your commission, you'll still end up doing paperwork as you'll be a Midrange Non-Com."
Samanthia took another sip of champagne, leaning forward with her elbows on her ledgers, textbooks from the courses she taking from Archa University. "Only advice I can give you is carry a small electric notepad and take notes as you go along, detailing what just happen and what you're doing along with the time frame when it is still fresh in your mind. And at near the end of the shift, transfer the notes and edit them into one big report. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Instead of waiting till the end of your shift and struggle till infinity and several broken keyboards later." Then gave Sivity a warm smile. "Just make sure your E-notepad is indestructible." Referring to Sivity's tendency for violence. "So how's population control coming along?"
"Your 'suggestion' is noted and disregarded. I hate those little devices. Me and tech, we aren't very compatible. Population control isn't as bad as people would have you believe. The Marines are a great asset. Just their presence alone on the decks is enough to quell trouble - often before it starts." She leaned forward in a mock conspiratorial manner. "It probably helps that I'm paired with Skorl a lot of the time. He is - MASSIVE. Seeing an immense Klingon striding your way tends to make most people think twice."
"I've seen him about the Promenade Concourse a few time. I can see why he's such a deterrent." She nodded agreeing with Sivity about the Marines, having a flashback of the encounter with the thugs in the turbo-lift. "Definitely you're Marine Materiel!" She leaned closer to Sivity, making the moment more intimate. Looking into her eyes. She spoke softly as she reached out and gently caressed Sivity's hair. "Maybe you need a good massage to help you relax."
She stood up suddenly and motioning for Sivity to follow her to the Employee opening of the bar. "Come. I know just the thing you need." Taking the bottle of Tait-Pink with her.
Rightly or wrongly, Sivity had no fear of Samanthia. She climbed down off the bar stool and followed as bidden. As with all her movements, her exit did not go unnoticed. Indeed a good proportion of the Dive's clientele attentively watched her practically naked behind disappear out back.
"I suppose the Marines might be less report ridden, but I doubt they offer many chances to wear high heels and as you can see, I need them." She said honestly. Without her precipitously tall heels Samanthia assessed that Sivity would stand about 5'2" or 5'3" at the very most. She'd definitely be even more dwarfed by the typical marine than she already was.
Sivity entered the back office and store area filled with curiosity. What exactly did Samanthia have in mind. She toyed with a small piece of jade to ensure good luck.
The cases of booze where arranged neatly and bottles glittered in the dim lighting. Moving through the maze of shelves of stock, coming to a private area was an office with cast off furniture. Samanthia motioned for Sivity to lay on a bed made out of crates. "What made you decided to go into security?"
"I get to shoot things." She said flatly. She then sat down on the boxes, picked her legs up and then sprawled out on her back. "I have fairly limited skill sets, but shooting, well, I've yet to meet anyone that's better." She said honestly. Sivity was also a competent fighter - as Samanthia, no slouch herself, knew all too well. She had a very level head in stressful situations, but was undoubtedly an adrenaline junkie. If she didn't get enough excitement, she went out and found it. Hence she was here, alone, in a place most Fleet crew would come in numbers. Her other chief asset was her intuition for finding trouble, if it could be called that, for it often led her into more trouble than it avoided.
Samanthia moved to to Sivity's head and started there with a simple scalp massage, working the tension out of her scalp. enjoying the soft silken feel of the snow white hair. "Any job you pursue will have it slow dull moments, Siv." She moved to take one of Sivity's arms and start with the fingers, massaging each finger to include the thumb then slowly worked her way up the arm. Seemingly lost in thought. "A lot of station personnel, take duel assignments. There are garrison ships that need slots filled." Speaking softly as she worked up the arm, working the tension out with gentle, yet firm confident techniques in getting the muscles stretched out and relaxed. "Wow... you are wound up tighter than spring driven watch! Take off your garments and cover up with the sheets. This is gonna take some serious time."
Samanthia turned her back on Sivity and poured two glasses of Champagne into the stemmed wine glasses. "So you thought being in Security as an Officer would highly exciting. Should've joined up during the major war with the Dominion and Cardasian verses everybody else. That was intense. A lot of minor skirmishing and covert ops till finally Federation got the Klingons and Romulans to side with them, then it flared up into a major war."
"Take my clothes off?" Queried Sivity. "But I'm hardly wearing anything. Oh, fine." The head and finger massage had been delicious; far better than she'd expected. The promise of more was too great a temptation to resist. Moreover, it was risky and exciting.
Undressing was not a long process. Her boots took the most time to remove. Thereafter there was only the see through skirt and meagre halter. She retained the tiny thong. She didn't see how it would possibly interfere with the massage.
"You don't have to turn around. I'm not shy." She added boldly as she divested herself of her second boot. Removing her clothes didn't unduly bother her, but she was not about to remove her charms, fetishes and wards, numerous as they were. Those festooned around her ankles she reapplied once her boots were off. She quickly lay down again, not wanting to be reminded of her short stature now she was bereft of her heels.
"I don't think my record would support a duel role. What garrison ship would want me?" She asked. She'd not used the sheet, but lay there practically naked atop the improvised table as if it were a perfectly normal and natural thing to do.
Samanthia looked thoughtful as she waited for Sivity to undress. Even placed the second glass of champagne within easy reach of Sivity. Unfortunately, she didn't have the profession Masseuse's Oils and perfumes. But she knew how to give a good massage. While it lacked the professional skill, she made up in the gentle firmness she displayed in working on loosening the tension from the Sivity's muscles and body. Nothing was taboo nor missed as the champagne flowed at the right increments to induces pleasure, not drunk state, and uninhibited relaxation.
It was a subtle seduction of Sivity into the world of erotica pleasure from a woman knowing how to pleasure and putting a female in a relaxed state of physical pleasure and relaxation. Sivity's skimpy thong, fetishes and charms was no deterrent to her knowing skill as she worked around them and even used them to stimulate the sensations of Sivity's body.
Samanthia's voice was soft and comforting as she spoke, "Never know if you don't submit an application of interest. Broaden your horizon into tactical. Bigger weapons to use." Began to massage the intimate places about Sivity's body with a subtle boldness.
Sivity considered Samanthia's words. Could she apply for a position on one of the ships? Even if she theoretically could, could she compose a fitting application. They always took so much time and effort. There were other things that she'd rather be doing. Currently though, Samanthia seemed to be doing her best to 'do' her. She had to concede that Sam was doing a more than passable job. being human definitely helped. There was no way that Sivity would allow anyone of her own race to do what Samanthia was doing.
She nonchalantly rolled over onto her back. It was far easier to drink her champagne that way, as well as allowing Samanthia to ease the tension in her back.
"Did I hear right? That you attend university on Archa? Because if so, you could write my application." Sivity said after a moment's thought. It seemed perfectly reasonable to her. Sam was good with letters and documents, she wasn't. But, how could she repay her? It wasn't as if Sammy wanted anyone shooting and that was what Siv excelled at.
She moaned softly in satisfaction as Samanthia ministered to her taut back muscles.
Samanthia massaged deeply Sivity's back muscles with her usual gentle firmness. "Well.. I could write up your application of interest. You need to be knowledgeable in the field as I'm sure they are going to check. And of course you're gonna have to sign it. So It's going to be both of our necks if something don't match." Concentrated on a few really tensed up muscles, digging deep into them. "Come find me when you feel confidence in shipboard tactic and weapons." Giving Sivity's butt a slap. "All done."
Samanthia moved off to lean against the make shift desk, sipping her champagne. "I'd really appreciate if someone in Security would clean out the refugees from my establishment on the Promenade Deck. A lot of people are complaining that the Star base is fast becoming very slum like. But then Engineering still has that big hole in the side of the station to patch up. So I guess it fitting that the rest of the station should look like crap."
"No, not really." Sivity disagreed. "Why are they in your restaurant? Is the space commandeered to billet them? If it is, there's nothing I can do. If they are merely loitering - well - you can choose who you serve and don't serve. I believe moves are afoot to ship them planet side soon; so the situation should ease."
She decamped from the crate-bed and smoothly dressed. It didn't take long. She felt her confidence grow as she once more stood in her towering spike heeled boots.
"As for the application; sure, let's do that. I have seen active service. I am - well, as I said - I am the best marksman on the base. I have an instinct for finding trouble - as you well know. Um, I can't think of anything else though. I hate reports with an unrivalled passion and I've not much more patience for reading them either. We probably ought not to mention that." She added with a warm smile.
"It wasn't slotted for billeting as far as I know and checked. As for loitering... they just parked themselves with their luggage and began to set up camp. That is what my employees there told me. And more and more just began moving in. If it weren't for Akiashiro Security Forces, I'd lost more than a few bottles of booze." Samanthia shrugs, "anyway it's not that important right now as it gives me more free time for my continued education."
"As for moving them?" Samanthia snickered at that. "There is Civil Unrest on the planet due to the influx of ships in the system of theirs. It's bad enough that the Fleet Marines have a toe hold there." Samanthia sat behind the desk, finding a empty data-padd amidst the clutter of invoices, odds and ends. "To be an active asset on a ship, you want to be on the bridge. Tactical is the way to go. But keep up your small arms and unarmed combat. With the Sorjourners thumping around the Sector. Tactical is the way to go."
Samanthia looks up at Sivity, "you have troubles with computers and tactical is 90% computer systems." She stares at Sivity for a few long seconds. "Light hurts your eyes, thus you have trouble seeing things on screens." It was a statement of discovery on her part. "You should get a pair of plain contact lens that reduces the amount of light that enters your eyes."
Samanthia typed in a lot of Sivity's assets from her past encounters with Sivity in a neat resume' format. "Mmmmmm... For now, I'm gonna put in that you're brushing up on your skill as Tactical. You on the other hand better start learning Tactical and Ship weapon systems." Looking up at Sivity. "Otherwise you whont get the shipboard berthing. The competition for shipboard slots is very tough."
Samanthia passed over the Padd with Sivity's Resume' of Application for a shipboard assignment along with her primary job of Station Security. Now it was up to Sivity to learn ship weapon system.
"Why is everything so human so visually based?" Bemoaned Sivity. "If the systems were auditory rather than visual I'd have a clear advantage. I'll be honest; I'm not keen on the lenses, but you've done a great job on that application. So - weapon systems...really? That I can do and do well. It's just something ..." She shrugs. "..they're easy."
"Tomorrow I will clear your restaurant. To be fair; it probably is overdue. The people there are in the wrong place and will profit from being located with their own race.. It will make the subsequent moves easier. Don't worry, there'll be no trouble: I'll bring Skorl."
Samanthia nodded. "It would be much appreciated." giving a small warm smile, taking a sip of the champagne and finishing off her glass. "It's just as much as you would like your partner to be competent in his job to watch your back when trouble hits. Skilled and knowledgeable people are an asset to the Team."
Sivity downed the rest of her champagne. "This really is rather good. Maybe I should wear even less next time. Anyway, before I go I have some advice for you. You've been very helpful. You have your reasons. I know that. I have mine. The point is: don't let your allegiance to the Akiashiro clan blind you to the benefits of the allying with Fleet. Think about that. I do things differently, why shouldn't you?" Sivity then leaned up and kissed Samanthia on the lips. "You are very kind." She said simply before slipping out of the back door.
Samanthia watch Sivity go with interest. Even though from Sivity provocative impromptu dance and what she was wearing made The Dive a profit. There was Organized crime gangs that had access to ships to get their 'merchandise' off station, that were more ruthless than Akiashiro Merchant Consortium on the station. She hoped what Sivity wore tonight was as far as it went. She as a bit surprised at receiving the kiss from Sivity, but it was a pleasant way to end their chance meeting.
Samanthia re-entered the main barroom from storage after making sure the back door was secured that Sivity used. She didn't want any of her stock walking out unannounced. She gathered up her textbooks as she noticed the bar ledgers were already secured in her absence.
