Posted on Mon Feb 9th, 2015 @ 5:03pm by Major Alexandria Somers & Captain Jeff Smith & 1st Lieutenant Jasmine Allen & 2nd Lieutenant Torvan Sorel & Chief Warrant Officer Gavin Sorensen & Sergeant K'Lagg
Mission:
Vagrants, Vagabonds, and Thieves
Location: Starbase 332 Holodeck
Timeline: Current
At the other end of the building Smith and Allen's team silence the guards on the front gates and quickly move up to the front door, opened it suddeenly and threw in a stun grenade, then they moved in taking out the hostiles suddenly alerted to the front door opening. Once inside they took note of the bodies and while Smith tasked a group to dispose of them, he tasked another pair to stand guard. Now he turned to Allen.
"Okay El tee you know where the entry to the basement is, take your team and lay you down some explosives" Smith said.
"Yes Sir" Lieutenant Jasmine Allen responded and gathered her team together and headed down to the basement while Smith's team secured the ground floor. It was as Smith and his team were going up to the second floor that Griffiths commed that they were outside the door to level three waiting for them. So they worked through level two securing the level and finding computer banks, which their tech hacked into and downloaded what he could as a room by room search was done. Last room on the second floor had a trio of alert Cardassian's as true to Griffith's word they fired stun blasts, strong enough to knock someone down, they took out four of Smith's men before they were silenced.
Their weapons fire was strong enough to numb a limb, so the four marines that were hit had an assortment of numb legs and arms, one was even unconcious having taken one directly in the chest, Smith tasked a group of his men to take them back to their entry and three other marines took an injured man while a fourth carried the simulated dead marine.
"Great, just great the boss was not kidding when she said the program would throw curves our way" Smith said as the remains of his team moved up to the door leading to third floor, here he paused and Commed his boss, but she beat him to it.
=/\= Strike One to Strike Two SITREP =/\=
Smith rolled his eyes not relishing the expected response =/\= Strike Three is setting up explosives int he basement, I have four down, three non-fatal, one fatal, we are now outside the door to the third floor front side =/\= He reported.
=/\= Casualties huh! Interesting, my team is at the rear entry, we go in on three =/\= Naomi said.
Both team leaders prepared to open the old fashioned Cardassian doors while some others readied some stun and flash grenades.
=/\= Three =/\=
=/\= Two =/\=
=/\= One, GO =/\=
Naomi said over the Comms and both sides the doors opened and flash and stun grenades were thrown in, some screams of painful shock could be heard, but both teams came in firing, their shots well aimed taking out the Cardassian's who were wildly milling about tempoarily blinded and blood oozing from burst eardrums, well those that was the closest to the grenades. Both teams took a wing each, it seemed all the Cardassian's in this building were hiding on this floor and actually put up some stiff resistance, both teams lost some troops, but weight of numbers won the day and as the smoked cleared they faced a lone Legate pointing his Phaser pistol to their VIPs head.
"You will release me now, allow me to go free or I will shoot the person you came here to save" He said.
Naomi looked at him "So sad" She said and one of her troops took a quick shot and the shocked look that fell across the Legates face before the life went from them was a picture. "Okay You, you and you go with the tech and find their databanks, one of you untile the hostage and help him the rest pick up our wounded and dead, we leave no one behind" Naomi said.
As their wounded were taken care of another marine looked after the VIP, they had a 2% loss rate on their teams, it was within acceptable margins, now the tech team returned nodding they had everything.
"Move out back down the stairs" She said and tapped her Commbadge =/\=You guys by the rear door join the others around the front we will be coming out that way and call in the shuttles, we have too many wounded to carry them out =/\= Naomi said.
=/\= Affirmative =/\= came the response.
As both teams now together exited the same way the second team came in, as the rest moved out of the hallway First Lieutenant Jasmine Allen and her team returned from the basement.
Looking at her "So El tee; done?" Griffiths asked.
Looking at her boss with a smile "oh yes, there will be a bigbaddaboom" She said gleefully making an exploding motion with her arms.
Griffiths looked at the young woman in shock, "You scare me sometimes lieutenant, you know that?"
Shrugging with a smile bordering on miniacal "Oh yipeee! so nice when the boss appriciates my work" She said and left.
Griffiths looked at the departing marine oO when did she become crazy, think some serious downtime will be needed Oo she thought as she followed her team out, the marines moved quickly but quietly back to where the shuttles had just landed, these shuttles had rear facing ramps like that of the old Hercules or Chinook aircraft of the 20th Century. As she was the last to board the shuttles lifted off leaving the ramps partially down so they could see the explosion. The shuttle got to a safe distance then the night was lit up so bright those watching had to squint their eyes.
"Damn Lieutenant how much Hi-Ex did you use?" Griffiths asked.
Jasmine Allen who came upbesides her and looked at the raging inferno "not much, but I did have my team attach some of the explosives to some sealed Anit-Matter containers in storage" She said calmly as if talking while on a clam walk through the shaded trees.
"You are way too crazy Lieutenant you know that?" Griffiths said looking at her, the Lieutenant simply nodded with a big smile and moved further back into the shuttle as the ramps were closed.
It was then the simulation ended and all the marines found themselves minus the VIP back on the black and yellow grid, Griffiths turned to her troops.
"Okay make your reports on your observations and recomendations for any possible improvements, then get you all some rack time, you are on leave until recalled, make sure you get some sleep, dismissed" She said and watched her team leave, looking around, she looked back and saw a Q being, this one was not one that had met them before, this one was female, Griffiths turned to face the entity.
"It is not enough, it will never be enough" The entity said, then vanished.
Griffiths looked at the spot where the being was and wondered what the hell she was on about, shrugging she left the holodeck and heqaded for her quarters to freshen up and take her own advice.
