S'er'in'e knew what was coming and the station had been preparing for a while about it, first priority for him was the safety of his Mate, all other issues were secondary. He'd asked the computer where his Mate was, he was told Warp 12.

Warp 12

S'er'in'e was known to most of the staff there and was let straight in, there was a noted zeal to his movements and strides he took as he headed towards the bar and her office. He asked the person manning the bar and he was informed Samanthia was in her office reviewing the books.

He knocked gently on the frame of her door. "Hello." He smiled as he took a step in, his voice warm and comforting.

Samanthia looked up at S'er'in'e. A smile graced her lips as sh leaned back in her seat. "Heyas love," motioning to have seat. Ledgers were open and PADDs strewn all over the desk in a hap-hazard way. "What brings you here. Shouldn't you be flying with your men or something?" Her voice soft and peasant.

S'er'in'e knew that something was happening and it was hard to keep that secret from the public considering his Mate was part of that. "If I may, I'd like to ask something of you." Placing the 'If I may' before the request to denote that she could as the female deny his request before even stating it. He was uneasy but at the same time he wanted to do what ever he could to keep the one he cared about safe.

"Just spit it out. you don't need permission to talk, or ask questions. Just blurt them out. Sheeesh. I thought you was a warrior and a man?" She stood up and came around the desk and stepped on foot stool that would bring her to eye level with him. "I'm not going to run to mommy if you break Caitian Traditions, my love." Reaching out and gently grabbing his cheek fur on both sides and pulling him close. "Or should I break out the leash and collar?" As she placed a gentle kiss on his nose tip while looking into his mesmerizing eyes.

At first S'er'in'e didn't take well the attitude she took regarding mar and warrior, though her comment about not running to the Elder because of his request dulled the wound slightly. A devious grin crossed his features. "Perhaps they would look good on you, should try it."

He paused then came the news. "There is an attack due on the station soon, we suspect a very large enemy fleet is due to arrive. We suspect it is a large fleet because one would be needed to pose a threat to a Stardock class Starbase. I'd like you to filter this to the family, divert incoming shipments, evacuate anyone you feel should be." He neglected to inform her that he'd be out there, in space, in the thick of it. "If they board the station I need to know you are safe, have your security forces secure off the Akiashiro decks, hangers and storage areas. Internal force fields should be used in case the outer hull is breached." His tone if anything left little to doubt that he was critically serious.

"I'll get the word to them. I'll be safe as I possibly can." Samanthia still looked him in the eyes. "You be safe while tearing the attackers into shreds." She reached under her business pleated skirt and removed her slip. Then she tore a strip from it and tied it around his arm. "Be my returning hero. I don't want to lose another to war nor terrorist." Then she hugged him the best she could.

He watched as her gift tied around his arm and the hug she gave him. Part of him didn't know if he'd see her again as a fleet engagement like this could go from one way to another so very quickly and a fighter was little if any match to a starship. Still, she had demanded he return and return he would try and do. He bend forward and picked her up, almost carrying her with her legs together off to his left side and his arm under supporting, the other holding her body close to him. He placed his head beside hers to put hers between his cheek and shoulder in and attempt to shield her as much as he could from that which was soon to come.

S'er'in'e growled slightly, his protective predatory feline nature surfacing. He was doing that which he was taught, brought up and trained to do, protect. Now he had a personal stake in it, Samanthia. "I will return." His tone promising, his hold unyielding, his mind hoping.

Samantia snuggled, wrappings her arms around his neck, burying her face into his shoulder and neck when she was picked up. "Don't promise. Do the best you can. Don't worry about me. I'm a survivor." Even though moisture leaked from her closed eyes as she took in his scent to be remembered. "I've been though wars before, Sere. And I'll keep the home fires lit for your return."

Gently he placed her back on her feet and brushed the side of her face with his hand. "Be safe." He smiled and kissed her forehead then proceeded to turn and leave her to her work armed with the knowledge that she could also keep others safe. She was right though, now his presence was required in the Hanger Bay where his teams awaited.

Samanthia moved to the door with S'er'in'e, She gently grabbed his tail just enough to slide her hand the length of it in an intimate petting way. Not to interfere with his sense of balance, nor hinder his progress. She watched him leave as she called for Frederick.

'Freddy' Akiashiro appeared in his food stained apron, "Yeah Samanthia?" Coming to a stop next to her.

"Alert the family discretely that the station is coming under an attack sometime in the near future." Samanthia turned to face Freddy. "Have these crates loaded with my stuff," pointing to the crates that held S'er'in'e's Paw Casting.

He nodded as he removed the apron and yelled into the kitchen for the back-up cook to take over as family business needed him more. He pulled out his personal communicator and began making calls as he moved into Samanthia's office.
