From his place on the lower decks of the Starbase Marine Captain Jeff Smith Commander of Omega Squad braces himself against the wall as the station shakes from the opening salvos from the attacking ships.

Looking over at the new MXO Marine Captain Javindhra "here I was thinking that being aboard a ships was rougher, whatever the Sourjourners are hitting us with seems to be powerful enough to shake the station" he said. He did a double take the Marine Captain had mysteriously vanished, then he looked to one of his Officers "Allen take command of Sigma Squad and get up to the Command level and secure the corridor, take a medical team up

Allen looked at Smith "Yes sir" She said and moved over to Sigma Squad and looked at them "okay guys lets get going" She said and moved the team out. "This is going to get worse before it gets better" Allen said as she left.

"I know right!!"

With that Allen leaves and Smith looks to the rest of Omega Squad, "well we will be next lads, then he remembered something and tapped his Commbadge "Marine Captain Smith to Major Griffiths"

With CinC now free of hostiles Naomi taps her Commbadge to "go ahead Captain" she said in response.

"I have re-assigned First Lieutenant Jasmine Allen to lead Sigma Squad and she is now on her way up to secure the corridor around CinC, she will have a Medical team with her, when ready she will contact you, unless you wish to speak to her Major?"

"Understood, all is now quiet in Command, but we do have wounded" Griffiths responded.

"Understood Major, Smith out" Jeff said and signed off and listened to reports from contact reports coming in from the defending teams.

As Sigma Squad advanced they encountered a small amount of Sorjourner troops and quickly dealt with the ones they encountered, but the closer they got to deck one the more intense the enemy got in number. At one point Allen and Sigma aided some defence teams and the Medics with her did what they could before they had to move on. Smith and Omega Squad went the other direction, and headed to an area that was in danger of being overrun, Smith got to one of the Cargo bays just in time and shored up the defenders there, he found this fight somewhat more fierce than any other fight he had ever been in.

On Deck 3 Allen and her team and the Medical team accompanying them had fought hard to reach their current location. "I never known these Sorjourners to fight so fierce, they must really be miffed" she said to no one in particular. A Marine Corporal spoke up "well if you disturb a hornets nest you have to expect a very angry swarm of bees to retaliate El tee" he said and got a dirty look from Allen, but she did not remain focused on the marine, she had to get to deck one with the medical team.

Sigma moved onward in a leap frog tactic, they thought that they had seen the last of the enemy, but rushing towards them were big built Sorjourners charging them, "Fire at will" she ordered and all of Sigma and even the Medics fired their weapons at the oncoming enemy, they managed to cut them down just shy of being on top of them. "Dammit" Allen said and signalled her group to move forward, luckily for them they encountered no further hostiles on deck three, to avoid any ambushes they used the Jefferies tubes, the one they used took them to deck two which was eerily devoid of anyone, Allen tasked two marines to check the deck then catch up with the group for the short crawl to level one, the tube would take them to an area outside the Command level.

In Cargo Bay Six Smith and his Squad having shored up the defenders manage to dispatch the last hostiles in the immediate area, with that some engineering teams arrived to repair some damage to the cargo bay while the defenders took turns to have a break, they could not really rest as more breaching pods could arrive, but all were taking it in turns to rest and stand guard. Back up on deck two the two marines Allen sent to check the level came back with a report, "report marine" Allen said.

"We found defences set up and manned, we asked the defenders had they seen any of the enemy and they said no, but they had heard that the defenders on the lower levels were doing well, hence why there is no fighting on this level. But they did report hearing that command had been boarded, they did not know how bad it was or how many casualties" she reported.

"Thanks, okay lets go, back into the tubes people" Allen said and led the way; it was in fact a very short trip and the team exited on level one, they heard no noise coming from the command centre, they did not know how to take this, so Allen tapped her Commbadge "Allen to Griffiths" she began. in the Command Centre Griffith was helping with the wounded when her Commbadge sounded, moving awayshe tapped it to make the connection and Allens voice came over the comms.

"What is it El tee?" Griffiths asked "I have Sigma Squad outside the command Centre, we have secured the area surrounding the Command Centre, I have some Medics with me, is it safe to enter?" Allen asked. Naomi looked around "yes it is" Griffiths simply said and unsealed the doors to allow the Medical team to enter and move to assist the injured crew, one of the medics approached Griffiths "lets take a look at that arm wound Major" he said. Griffiths did not realise until it was mentioned that she had been hurt, she nodded for the medic to proceed while she got a report from Allen "whats the latest?"

"Captain Smith headed to Cargo Bay six to help the defenders there, I have not heard from him since, in the end we had to assign all reserve personnel to help with the defences, Sigma and Omega were the last to be deployed" Allen reported. "Thank you El tee, now make sure your team has this level secured" Griffiths said and Allen nodded and left, when the door had closed again she tapped her Commbadge "Griffiths to Smith, SITREP Captain?" It took a moment Griffiths allowed for Smith being in combat, but when he answered all she could hear were repairing noises.

"All is quiet in Cargo bay six now Major, Omega reinforced the defenders here, now with them dead some engineering teams are repairing the cargobay doors and removing the breaching pods. But for the moment it is all quiet here" Smith reported. "Understood and good job, Griffiths out" she closed the link and returned to helping the medics with the injured.
