Condition & Prognosis

S'er'in'e recovery after the rescue was a rocky one, aside from having to physically manipulate over 500lbs of feline to accommodate treating bones and setting joints the additional complications surrounding the delicate internal balance reared it's head. While on the planet S'er'in'e had to ease his chest cavity, to do this he had to use the underwire of Von's bra, sharpened against a rock and used to pierce his chest allowing the blood to drain. Using his own claws to do this was impractical as they would not reach deep enough without a larger incision which would further expose himself to infection.

The treating Doctor was well versed in medical procedures and perhaps his current patient was the largest he'd ever treated. Still, all things considered the Colonel was healing well for the most part and he wanted to let the Colonel's Wife know.

Having asked the location then to be stopped by security he had to explain a few times. "I'm here to see Mrs S'er'in'e. I'm the treating medical practitioner for her Husband Colonel S'er'in'e. Could you let her know I need to see her, I need to ask her some questions."

The stoic looking Security Guard at the Check Point on Akiashiro's deck. Picked up a phone receiver and made a call. He spoke in that soft voice that would just carry to the phone's mic pick-up. Then he listened for a bit and hung up. "She be here in a few minutes. Please have a seat." Pointing to the visitor's lounge.

Ten minutes later, Samanthia showed up sipping on a hot cup of coffee and rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Simple A-line dress with sandals. She nodded to the Check point Security Guard when he pointed her over to the Visitor waiting area. She approached and took a sip of her drink. "Yes?" Announcing herself as she sat down across from him and crossing her ankles.

"Ma'am, I'm Doctor William Bills I'm treating your Husband." Will stood up when he saw her approaching then sat when she did. "I came to update you about his condition but also seek information as well. Physically S'er'in'e is recovering well, we have reset and repaired the skeletal damage, drained the cavity and repaired the internal damage but readings are showing a chemical imbalance in his blood works. I had to brush up on my Caitian medical texts a little but I'm at a loss to the course of treatment, if you can't help me I'd like to contact the Caitian Homeworld for information."

Samanthia nodded as she sipped her drink, then spoke. "Caitian Males are driven to bond with a female. Longer they are single the drive gets stronger and then creates an imbalance. Soooo... when I imprinted my scent upon him and we started to hang out together and having intimacies it settled his raging hormones. Being with another woman for long periods of time will create conflicting signals. Basic instinctual desire." She paused and took another sip of her juice.

"Being in close proximity to the Captain then could cause an issue. So if the scent of you would help resolve this imbalance, would you mind dropping by the Medical Bay to be with him, or perhaps something of yours with your scent on it I can place with him?" Doctor Bills asked.

Samanthia smiled, "That I can do. I'll be by around 1400 hrs. Whether you came to see me or not. He's able to have visitors?"

"He is, he's resting as comfortable as I can make it but your presence around him given what you have said may do what medically I am unable."

***14:00hrs, Medical Bay***

Dr Bills was in his little office running bloodwork checks on S'er'in'e to make sure that the injuries were healing well and that the blood toxicity readings were slowly going down. The chemical imbalance however was the only thing he could do little about and feared doing anything about it as synthetic chemicals may have ad adverse reaction to a delicate feline system.

Samanthia slipped in a minute after 14:00 hrs and went directly to her mate's room to see how he was doing. She had a package for him and it carried her scent strongly upon the undergarment. She checked in with the onduty nurse and moved gracefully to S'er'in'e's room. While the nurse at the desk contacted Doctor Bills that S'er'in'e's wife was on her way to see her husband.

S'er'in'e was asleep thanks to a mildly strong sedative, he was adorned with sensors, monitors and wall displayed revealed all kinds of information. On his back and under a sheet to comfort and keep modest it was at least for now as comfortable as they could make the overly large patient.

Dr Bills was informed of Samanthia's arrival and glad for it. "Mrs S'er'in'e. I hope by asking you to come I've not interrupted your schedule?" He hoped her presence would facilitate a smoother recovery for the Colonel.

"Not interrupting anything that can be put off till tomorrow," Samanthia reply was soft as she looked over her husband laying there. "As soon as I could. Him being in ICU and all. I'd stick to the regular visiting hours so that you guys could get him stabilised without me being in the way and sending in nurses to see when I could be with him." She looked at him. "I'm surprised that you made the trip down to Akiashiro's Deck to come and fetch me."

She opened the sealed package and placed the scarf that carried her scent neatly around his neck and tied it in place. "Would it be okay to lay next to him?" She asked the Doctor. "And some privacy?"

"Of course, just be cautious of his left side if possible as that bore the brunt of his injuries. Treated of course but still rather delicate." Dr Bills replied glad that something was being done about an issue he couldn't do anything about.

"Oh! Inform the nurse if his monitors show increase in his bio-rhythm, it's nothing to worry about, unless of course it reaches dangerous levels of course." Samanthia gave a shy smile at the departing Doctor. She moved with the familiarity of the ICU Room, making it so people passing by couldn't see in. "Oh.. and an added bio-rhythm which will be mine. I'm on record here."

Once the Doctor was gone and the room in privacy mode, with the exception of the intrusion of the bio-monitors scanners. Samanthia stripped down to skin, neatly laying her clothes on a nearby chair and then crawled in under the sheet with S'er'in'e, being careful not to disturb anything attached to him.

Dr Bills was monitoring the readings from the sensors monitoring S'er'in'e. The extra readings from his Wife also registering. "Nurse. See that those two are not disturbed, if anything come to me first." This scent issue however was fascinating to him, the impact of someone could have on another to such an extent as this.

She just laid there next to him, resting her head, just below his muzzle. Wrapping and arm around him as she half laid on S'er'in'e. She whispered, "I'm glad your back and alive." She then just babbled about what had happened while he was gone on his ill-fated journey.
