During the last week I have seen the conduct and leadership of Marine Captain Morris. Currently assigned to the Fourteenth battalion staff, she has some very good skills. In the recent seizure of several vessels her abilities are sound of a company grade officer. I discussed this idea with Sergeant Dunmore who agrees with my plan to move the Captain up to a company command at first opportunity. I'll bring her in and interview her for the position when she return. I have spent some time reviewing a few reports on E company. Unfortunately Captain Tyree is having some growing pains with his unit. Seems he is at odds with his XO and platoon leaders over a very demanding training schedule. I have looked at the schedule and found it a bit strong. After discussing his plans with the Captain it is clear to me he is out of step with his command. An issue I hope to resolve quickly before it gets out of hand.

Other issues have moved along very well the last few days and the Battalion is molding together under some very good work from it's NCO's.
