Hurt

John Demarck personal log stardate 69184.45. This past week has been difficult. Anytime one leaves his family in order to start anew somewhere else emotions are going to be part of the process. As specially when you're Human. I have had to say goodby to my family more than once. When I left for the academy, when I went to medical school and after my graduation. But somehow this time was more painful. Moving across the quadrant means seeing them even less than I already was. Julie and I are both somewhat used to it, but seeing the hurt in Judiths eyes was something I never want to see ever again. The only good thing about leaving is that Katagh went with me. Having him around makes it all bearable.

In a few hours I start my first shift at this new place. Stepping out of the shuttle bay and onto the prominade Katagh and I were hit by the buzzing of the shops, restaurants and most of all the life on this station. This station that is going to be our home for the foreseeable future. I'll see what life brings here. Computer, save and end log.
