Meeting the new Commanding Officer

After her meeting with the Marine Commanding Officer and a slight detour to book in her TR-116 and then stopping off at her new quarters, Alex heads up to the Captain's Office with a small package in her hand. After getting lost a few times Alex finally arrives outside the Captain's office and pressed the buzzer.
"Come in," Von answered without looking up from her desk. She was used to getting unplanned visits throughout the day in addition to meetings scheduled through her yeoman. It was a blessing and a curse that she wasn't constantly needed in the command centre for the day to day operations, but she still had to be available in case something came up. At the moment she was catching up on some paperwork. As the door slid open, she looked up to see who had walked in. It was one of the marines, but not one that she recognized. "What can I do for you, Major?"
Standing to attention and giving the Captain a smart salute, before lowering her arm, she handed a Padd to Von "I am a new transfer Captain, I am taking over from Major Griffiths, where she was the MCO and created Omega Squad, which is now bumped up to a company level I am the new Commander of G Company code name Omega. Major Griffith's sends her regards and this" Somers said handing over a bottle of vintage Bajoran spring wine "from what I am told Captain, that bottle is from Bajor before the Cardassian occupation, one of the few to actually survive. I think she got the safe option as she did not know what beverage you liked."
Von took the bottle from the major. "That was very kind of her. If you talk to her, please give her my regards and my thanks. I'll be sure to save this for a special occasion."
"I reported to Major Jacobs before coming here Sir, it was two fold, one I had to deliver that bottle and two I had to let my new CO know that I had arrived," Alexandria added and fell silent.
"I appreciate you coming by, Major. I hope you've been able to get settled in."
*shrugs* "Not as of yet Captain, but then again I have not long come from the main armoury by way of the MCO, but I figure that it was the correct to report to you before going to my assigned quarters, " Somers said.
"Well, most of the time you'll be reporting up your marine chain of command, through Major Jacobs. But I do like to know the officers under my command." Von extended her hand towards Somers. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Major."
*Taking and shaking the offered hand* "Thank you, Captain, I shall now leave you as I came in peace" Somers finished as she let go of the Captain's hand and left Von's office and headed straight for her quarters.
