[ON]

Sean was working on the Metis making her combat ready he had already sent off most of the non-essential security staff and was busy working on improving the ship's weapon compliment when a console nearby started going off. Sean looked around and he touched the console.

"Sean O'Connell here what can I do for you?" he said as he saw somebody from the OPS department.

"We have an incoming transmission from Starfleet Academy for you, sir. A professor Dupont, sir." The young officer said.

"Viv, eh, haven't spoken to her since last year, patch her through." He smiled as he saw the all familiar face of a teacher from his academy days.

"Ah, Sean, how have you been doing? I haven't heard from you since you left the Academy. Am I bothering you?" She said feigning interest, yet she called just to get something.

"Doing fine, Viv, but let me guess you've been checking up on me saw my promotion and want something, as usual?" Sean smirked at her.

"I remember a time you would almost do anything for me." She said flashing a smile.

"Yeah, that was before I knew you where married and I was young, stupid and hormones clouded my judgement. So what is it I am rather busy and I have a ship to make ready for combat." he said rather annoyed.

"Well, you know my husband, he is currently looking for a new assignment he spent the last few years investigating for the war tribunal and he wants to teach at the academy, but he lacks some experience. So I thought I call you and ask for a favor. And as you do owe me for taking over your job when you where looking for a new assignment I came to collect." She said showing a small grin.

"Well, I do need a good investigator and as your husband is rather good I'll see what I can do. Besides I know he's a great cook so as we are always short on good cooks I'll bite. Not making promises these transfers take weeks if not months. I'll get to it." He said shaking his head, resigning to the fact that he did owe her.

"The paper work is just waiting for your signature and my husband is already at the station, chri. It is all arranged just needs your approval. Now be good and sign it and I wish you good luck." She said as the comm was cut short.

"Jaysus wept!" he cried out and then opened his messages and had a quick look through and there is was the paper work from Starfleet Command. He quickly went through Jack's bio and service record and nodded if it would have gone through proper channels he would have asked for this man anyway, but he just hated it when he was being used. He quickly approved the transfer and tapped his commbadge.

"O'Connell to Senior Chief Blanc, I am currently on the Metis, report to me ASAP."

"I am right here, sir, I was assisting your staff with transferring more torpedoes to the Metis, sir" Jack answered as he looked up from his padd.

"I must say I am not impressed with the security on this station." Sean looked very annoyed.

"Security is perfect, sir, I just bluffed my way through. One does not stand in the way of a SCPO in a foul mood, sir." he said flashing a smile." And besides I have to apologize for my wife, she tends to be far more able in Starfleet politics then teaching her subject, sir."

"Well, tasted your cooking and know your kids. Your wife on the other hand is a probable better suited for politics than teaching." he chuckled. "Well, I have no need for an investigator and brig officer at the moment. I would suggest you report security and get an office for yourself I'll see about your duty roster later on, Senior Chief." he said as he turned around." and remind your wife I do not look being manipulated!"

"Aye-aye, sir, I'll remind her, heard the same thing from Admiral Bennet, sir." Jack agreed with Sean, his wife really misused her connections and it was not a good way to get to know your boss.

"Well, I am not Admiral Bennet! I tend to judge people on their capabilities not on whom they know. Your record looks outstanding, Senior chief. Now we are departing soon, so report to my department, senior." Sean said while directing a few crewmen to remove a few containers to make room for the torpedoes.

"Thank you, sir, I'll leave right away and start my job," Jack nodded to O'Connell and headed for Security.

"Good man, Good man." Sean said as he went on with his duties getting the Metis ready.
