Mission: The Mystery Men of Mira
Location: Archa IV, Peluu Resort

::On::

The Major had heard of the Peluu Resort. Being an avid fan of sunny beaches and tropical weather he couldn't wait any longer to check the place out. The reservations set he took his own advice and took a trip to the Planet. He was advised to take a security officer with him but declined to do so. It was the time off he needed to clear his mind and get familiar with the Planet his Battalion would be guarding.

The shuttle trip was relatively short and his greeting in capital city was impressive. It was definitely geared for any and all tourists. But not overly done. His drive to the Hotel was alone a wonderful tree lined Avenue of restaurants and shops of every variety. The City was clean and very vibrant, with many local citizens moving about. The resort was indeed beautiful and he checked into his room and changed quickly for a few hours by the pool in the warm Sun.

It had been a demanding First Month on the Station and he relished the chance to enjoy a large helping of Curry and Steak Kabobs. Washing the entire meal down with a good vintage Cognac. He didn't venture out into the City at dark, but saw many of the Hotel guests leaving excitedly for what was sure a night of entertainment. A hammock on his rooms patio was perfect for a good nights sleep under the stars listening to actual birds chattering softly most of the night.

Morning came all too quickly. John felt great and checked in with the Battalion. Nothing really going on there. He had a City tour planned. The sites were varied from the open markets to an archeological museum and dig site that was temporarily closed for renovation. John noted the residential areas were as clean and as well manicured as the city center itself. Obvious the locals respected their land greatly and due to a very active security presence the crime rate was virtually nil. He was anxious to return soon to the area and get off the beaten path a bit and see what this place was really like. But as far as he could surmise this place was unique and serene.

Returning in the late afternoon on the shuttle when saw many inhabitants of the crew had definitely had a good time, some may even regret it as they have partied too much.. After several hours of reviewing messages in his office he actually missed the place..
