Brenda had finally located the security office. She asked the Officer there if the Chief was available, to which she was told to have a seat.
Sean looked over his padd and saw this tall dark haired woman waiting outside his office. He quickly checked her clearance and raised an eyebrow then stood up. He walked towards his door and opened it.
"Miss Foster,I guess your here to talk about my 'strained relationship with the marines','the hopeless situation' and 'that we needed to be saved by the marines.'" Sean looked at her with a grin." I am an amateur historian and I would have to say that was probably the worst choreographed piece of journalism I have ever seen and trust me I've seen Fox news from the 21st century."
After the interesting and somewhat amusing greeting from the lieutenant Brenda felt a very cold chill up her spine.
"No, actually I'm here today to report the theft of several pieces of equipment and luggage that arrived here several days ago. I was directed here. This is the security department isn't it Lieutenant? I had no intent to conduct any other trivial business here beyond that really. I'm sorry you didn't find my interview with the Marine Commander entertaining. I shall totally agree with you that your skills as a Historian are indeed at the Amateur level. But I do need to make a report, if that is possible."
"Oh I found the interview with Gifford very entertaining.... you got stonewalled. Next interview with him give me a call I'll have some better ammunition for you." Sean turned towards his desk and offered Brenda chair. " Just wondering was your equipment and luggage delivered to the lower cargobays?" Sean picked up a padd and checked the latest report.
"I'm not certain where it was delivered to actually, Some of actually went to central distribution. I've been told several items are extremely expensive and I'll have to explain to my Federation supervisors why it was lost.. I can't even tell you if it made it here as we never saw it unloaded."
"Okay, that makes my job a bit harder. Okay, was it on the same ship you arrived with or was it with another ship. Also it could be, because customs are doing searches the ship it should have arrived with is still waiting to dock."Sean walked to his console and then looked at Brenda.
"No it was on our vessel as I had to sign the manifest for it. I have a copy of it being received by the captain here on my padd." She accessed her pad and brought the document up for the Lieutenant to see..
Sean looked at the padd then did a cross reference with the ships manifest and checked where the cargo was placed. "Okay as far as I can see all cargo from that ship was placed in one the lower cargobays. You have checked with operations?"
"I checked with them first, then with the inbound freight section, they sent me here."
Sean muttered about how lazy Operations become since his name sake had left. " Okay, we'll have to start a search then. What kind of equipment are we talking about?"
Brenda looked at her shipping manifest, Three portable Hologram emitters and a few pieces of other equipment that I'm not sure exactly what there for. But I'm sure it was for transmitting a remote set. My crew also had there baggage..
"Stolen...... or misplaced. Okay, their baggage is at lost and found. was sent to the wrong rooms. The Holo emitters and the other equipment was brought to storage bay 459, deck 2083. Well that cargobay is off limits........ so you can either wait for a few weeks, but you won't accept that so I'll have to go down later today and have a look. It could well be that it's either stolen or destroyed as of late we had some troubling brewing at the lower cargobays." Sean checked the information and bit his lip as he noticed something peculiar.
Brenda was certain when she arrived that the equipment would be hopelessly lost. But was glad it had at least been found regardless of how long it would take to get back to her.
The Lieutenant seemed distracted and busy. "Well thank you for your help I'm sure the equipment in question will find it's way to us soon."
"I hope so, Miss Foster. I'll have to check out that cargobay. I also have received the paper work from your employer and raised your clearance in accordance. Unless there is anything else I wish you a good day. " Sean stood up and walked to wards his office's door and waited for Brenda.
Clearly seeing she was being dismiss by the security chief Brenda Walked out of the office. This matter would be resolved at a entirely different level..
