Mission: Vagrants, Vagabonds, and Thieves
Location: Main Holodeck, Starbase 332

After the events on the Myaz planet and Vaishaa and the good landing from De'Havean, Griffiths felt the need to let off some steam, all of the unit that went with her was there plus some others to make the number up to 125 Marines. Now on the Holodeck with 124 marines behind her.

"Computer activate Griffiths training program Omega One" She said and the black and yellow grid was replaced with a starfleet facility complete with accommodation it was a standard Starfleet Marine set-up building and the marines inside a makeshift command room for the briefing.

She looked to her XO, Captain Smith, "We not know each other that well at the moment as we not have had the time, now tell me a little about yourself, mainly your Marine Specialities, what are you trained for specifically?" she asked.

"Well sir, besides my regular marine training, I am specialised in several areas. I have completed command and basic first aid training. I have extensive training in hand-to-hand combat including basic in Starfleet, Tae Kwan Do and blade training by a sword master on earth. My other major qualifications include sniping, reconnaissance, land navigation and tracking. As you might know I am especially familiar with forested and arctic terrain."

She listened as the young marine Captain spoke.

What she heard impressed her greatly.

Not bad, she thought. "So, Captain Smith, do you know why we are in this training scenario?” After a pause, “Do you have a nickname, something you have been called?" she asked. "My Nickname became my Callsign when I transferred over to Marines. Your Nickname will become your callsign too. It makes it harder for any enemy listening in to know your name and such, the nickname that has become my callsign is Bloodrayne, this is due to the colour of my hair and my pale complexion" She said with a smile.

“I Imagine we are here for further training sir. I have been called Bulldog in the past sir, partly because of my build, and partly because of my tenacity. The name will do just fine."

"Those who were assigned to me under Omega Squad need to let off some steam so we are here to concentrate on specialized training, mainly Recon/Demo/Bomb disposal/Infiltration & Extraction and Sniper training. I will split us into groups, two Squads; you will command the other Squad Captain Smith. Both teams will do the same. But only one of us will specialize in Sniper duties only. It will be 61 men not including you, I will have the same. Some of those 125 Marines will be trained in Sniper duties only and the application of sniping. the rest of us poor slugs get specialized Generic training. I will announce more after the exercise, do you have any questions Lieutenant?” She asked.

"I do have a few questions, such what will the duration of the training be, and what suggestions you have for my assignment. Besides that nothing else, besides what is considered standard operating procedure for this detachment."

Sitting back inhaling, “The duration is open for now, as in we got no time limit on training. As for suggestions, like me Captain you will be given further training the areas I have said, the standard operating procedure of this Unit is ongoing, as I have not been in command long and I am still working out the finer details. But one rule we do have is we leave no one behind, not even Fleet personnel as in non-Marines. Most of the time when on the the Starbase, we will have Security personnel with some of us, if they or one us go down we take them with us, dead or alive. Anymore questions?” She asked.

“No sir, that is perfectly clear.”

“Okay then, I want you to get the Marines ready and I will be out shortly” She said, indicating the meeting was over.

"Yes, sir."

To be continued…
