Mission:
Insecurities
Location: SB-332 :: Deck 2301 : The Dive
Samanthia sat behind the counter in the dimmly lit Dive, listening to several patrons at the bar discussing work related problem. The typical stuff and relations going sour. She was going over the ledgers and inventory.
She would look up at a sudden outburst of loud noises, only to find out it was an heated arguement over one of the barmaids that also supplemented her bar income with her favors or a successful winning at a major stake. All in all, It was a typical day in The Dive. A few fights had broken out, but easily quelled before it flaired into something bigger.
Things went a lot quieter when the Andoran entered. Heads swivelled. Eyes undressed the blue skinned beauty. Not that she took a great deal of undressing. As ever Sivity had opted for quite minimal attire. Minimal that is, except her footwear.
Sivity was feeling down. The job was unrelenting. The reports seemingly endless. She wasn't built for life on a stargaze. That was the conclusion that she'd come to. Yet she was completely unsure what her alternatives were. So she did what she always did: she rebelled. Too many rules chafed. Hence she returned to the Dive knowing full well that it might mean trouble. She was dressed for it.
The white, crotch high, precipitously high spike heeled boots matched the colour of her long, sleek white mane. She wore a white thong and bra beneath a clear plastic mini skirt. Long white gloves matched the boots as did the shiny white collar around her throat. It was possibly the most scandalous outfit she currently possessed. She hoped that it invited sufficient trouble to distract her from her melancholy.
Every male eyes were glued to Sivity when noticed. Samanthia looked up at the sudden hush that fell over the patrons. She gave a soft chuckle as she recongized Sivity. Who else would dress like that. Even she had to admit Sivity was very desirable. A low murmer rippled though the bar once they got over Sivity's entrance. Several of the male patrons made room at their table to see which way she would bounce.
Samanthia glanced down the bar. A lot of the bar stools were vacant as this was between usual shift change rush. She licked her lips and took a drink of her usual non-alcoholic drink. Closing the book she was looking over and set the pen down next to it. She remained seated at her location behind the bar.
In the back corner of the bar and no threat to Sivity, Couple of Males began to fight over who would be the first to approach Sivity.
She sat gracefully on the first seat made available to her. She smiled politely at the three men seated there. All were human and judging from their hirsute nature, none were Starfleet. A series a questions and tall tales ensued with typically all three talking at once; so it was virtually impossible to understand what they were talking about. All too soon a hand strayed to her thigh.
"Hey, this is siltex. Man, I just love the feel of this stuff. It's totally water proof, but - yeah - I'm guessing you already know all about that." Said the short, stocky man whose name she'd missed. but vaguely believed began with a G.
"Don't listen to this OLD fart!" Interjected Credo. (At least that what she thought his name was.) He laughed uproariously as if he'd told the greatest joke of all time.
"C'mon, Giff; don't touch what you can't afford." The tallest of the trio said. He then took Giff's hand off Sivity's thigh only to replace it with his own. "Ooh, damnit this stuff is sooo smooth."
Sivity smiled at him. Her full lips were painted and glossed. Her eyes shrouded in a blue so dark, it was almost black. "Steady. Yes, siltex is a delight to wear, I assure you. You should try it sometime. - Your own - Not mine."
They all laughed at that, especially Credo who held his sides and almost fell off the chair.
"Wait, wait - she's right!" Boomed Giff. "Allow ME to buy this lovely little lady a drink." He bowed, doing his very best to eclipse his friends.
"Champagne, please." Replied Sivity politely. She doubted it would be long before others would seek to steal her from her current companions. Then the fun would start.
Samanthia watched with interest as the table next to where Sivity sat was showing great interest. Even with their card game momentary forgotten. Samanthia stood up and motioned the bartender to hold on that order of champagne. She slipped back into the back room and grabbed a bottle of champagne that had been imported from Sol-3. A good French Champagne.
She brought it out from storage and pausing to grab a few long stemed champagne glasses. Even in the dim lighting Everyone seeing the bottle of Champagne and glasses, Samanthia was carrying something was up. She carried the bottle over along with the two glasses. She set the glasses on the table near Giff, the one who was ordering the drinks, "That'll be 1/4 length latium," Showing Giff the bottle of Champagne and its Label. "If you can't pay it. I'm sure some fine gentleman here would be more than happy to come up with payment and have the company of this fine Andorian Lady." She brought it back towards her, letting Sivity see the label of the Champagne. It was finiest of champagnes that rarely makes it off Earth, much less this far out on the frontier.
Giff almost choked on his drink. "A QUARTER LENGTH!" He blurted. "Hell, I could go to Sol 3 and back for less than that! Wait - What? - That's REAL champagne? Damn, I thought a place like this would just have - you know - some fizzy crap - er, no offence." He added somewhat belatedly. His friends quickly recovered from their own stupefaction at the hefty price and started laughing at Giff's embarrassment.
Sivity recognised the voice first. She turned and looked up at Samanthia. "Good evening, Samanthia, you are looking well." She said politely. She then noticed the bottle: Taittinger, grand cru and pink! No wonder it was so pricey. Sivity had never tried real champagne from Sol 3. It held an interstellar reputation and she'd relied on that as a good enough starting point for her night's entertainment. Although it was Samanthia's premises, she hadn't expected her to be present. Samanthia was a busy woman with lots of interests. This was but one.
Samanthia gave Giff a smirk, "As long as you been coming here with your friends, you knew I served the real stuff imported. You always take the free replicated synth stuff." She finished with a soft smile that she took no offence from Giff's remark. She turned to Sivity, in a neutral voice as Server would to a patron, "And you're looking as rav..I mean as well as expected." It was with the champagne in a subtle way extending the offer of friendship and past actions were forgiven and forgotten. Turning back to Giff and his friends in a louder voice so others could hear her. "Or should I put this on Auction for the Taittinger Pink and the company of this Andorian Lady?" She winked at Sivity, and mouthed, "Exciting aint it?"
Male patrons interest perked up and reached for their Latium to see how high they could go. And everyone knew quarter length of Latium was opening bid if Giff didn't ante up the price. Several Bouncers shifted position so they could keep tight reign to prevent chaos that would ensue in the Auction. Card games were concluded quickly so that the winners could have a better chance in gaining company and the Pink from Sol-3.
A few who were a bit anxious at their chance for the company of Sivity, yelled out their bids, "Half length!" Three quarters!" "Full length plus half!" Noise level rose as chairs and tables were moved to make a impromtu stage. Several Big Bully Boys from Cargo, grabbed Sivity, while seated along with her chair and hoisted her onto the impromtu stage. Samanthia was excorted by several of the bouncers onto the stage with the champagne. Samanthia gave a soft laugh at the situation. She would definitely make a profit off this bottle of Taittinger Pink as she called it.
Sivity was somewhat alarmed at being hoisted up onto the impromptu stage, but Samanthia was correct: it was exciting. As the bids were shouted out, she smiled in delight. She then elected to stand on the chair. Sivity enjoyed being the centre of attention. She pirouetted carefully in her perilously tall heels to give the patrons a better look at her scandalous ensemble. Her numerous trinkets, charms and fetishes tinkled delicately as she did.
Giff and his friends suddenly blurted out "2 lengths!" They'd formed an impromptu team having they decided that they could then share both the girl and the drink. They evident delight at this 'clever' tactic was all too obvious to the other patrons and heads quickly met to determine whether others were prepared to share and if so, between how many. It all looked very promising for Samanthia. For Sivity it was exactly what she needed: a complete escape from the endless drudgery of work. Bureaucracy was the bane of her life. There'd be no report writing this night. She cocked her hip and clasped her gloves hands behind her cute derriere. Pulling her shoulders further back and down accentuated the more than ample thrust of her bosom. She was milking the situation for all it was worth.
Those that were too broke to particapate, enjoyed the show and waiting for the hostities to break out. The others that was bidding, were turning to their friends and acquaitenances for monetary support. But 2 length bars of Latium stood through the final amaterish running of the Auction by Samanthia. When there was no additional bids. She motioned for Giff to pay up as she handed Sivity the Bottle of Taittinger Pink. "Bought and paid for by the those gentleman!" Pointing to Giff and his friends. She motioned Giff to pay the Bouncer that appeared next to Giff. "Tat-Pink from the French Province of Sol-3 and a Beauty from Andoria! Come claim your prize as soon as you pay up!" She yelled over the noise of the patrons.
Samanthia gave Sivity a wide smile. "You're alot of fun! And profit." Holding out her hand to Sivity to help her down off the chair. "I have that device will keep ya cool on your rounds. You can pick it up after ya have fun with your new found friends." Giving Sivity's hand a friendly squeeze, she jumped down from the stage and headed to the bar, letting Sivity fend for herself. She covertly signaled several bouncers to help Sivity if things got beyond her control.
Sivity was definitely a 'look but don't touch' girl. Being the centre really wasn't an issue. In fact she enjoyed it. The music was again ramped up following the auction. She started dancing, much to the delight of the Dive's enthusiastic clientele.
The crowd of patrons closed around the impromtu stage, encouraging her to become more erotic, slowing down the progress off Giff and his Friends to claim their prize for the evening, but allowing Samanthia to pass with compliments and monetary tips of such for the impromtu entertainment.
Giff looked somewhat put out at not being able to enjoy his purchased prize. Credo thought the whole situation hilarious, especially Giff's reaction. The as yet still nameless tall man simply smiled contentedly, having the best view of Sivity's cavorting. In response to the crowd's exhortations she upped her performance and added more overtly sexualised elements. Her performance was extremely well received. Giff's annoyance evaporated as he and his friends were congratulated for their purchase and thanked for permitting the very public display. They were even supplied with drinks. Further back in the bar shadier deals were concluded. Sivity provided an excellent distraction.
Soon the crowd around the impromptu stage thinned out as the patrons returned to their card games and socializing. Even the impromptu stage was slowly being broken down as patrons wanted their tables back. A few of the braver male Patrons had managed during Sivity's gyrations, stick a few Latuim sections within her attire when she came within reach of them. Letting Giff and his friends to rejoin Sivity.
Samanthia from her spot at her spot at the bar, nodded with appreciation at the flexibility and appeal of Sivity. She had forgotten her homework for the classes she was taking at the Archa University. She had the device that would help keep Sivity cool during her shift, sitting next to her books. It looked like a com-badge, even it was a bit bigger than the regulation one and also could duel as one.
Sivity had, as yet, no clue about the new device that Samanthia proposed to gift. She was not feeling unduly warm, but that was hardly surprising given her scant attire. A loud bang caught her attention. Credo had popped the cork from the bottle. The sparkling pink liquid was poured into four, tall, narrow glasses with corkscrew stems. The tall man offered her a glass with a knowing smile. She took it gratefully, toasted the three men and drank. It was light, lively and surprisingly refreshing. Most importantly, it was cold. She felt a touch at her hip. She looked down and saw that Giff's hand had slid up under her tiny, clear skirt. She was about to say something when an alarm cut across everything.
A blue light flashed in the ceiling and a siren droned incessantly. Emergency red lighting flared into existence as all other power dropped. The air filters had, she guessed, malfunctioned. Everyone would have to evacuate until engineering had fixed the fault. You never took any chances with such things. No doubt it was something trivial, like the cork hitting a sensor. She downed the fizzy drink and followed the other grumbling patrons out of the door. A few opportunistic hands groped her in passing. Ordinarily, that would have been an invitation to some serious harm, but in the confusion, she'd no idea who had actually touched her.
Samanthia looked up at the loud sound of the 'pop' of the cork of the freshly opened bottle of champagne as did the rest of the room was just as startled. Some weapons appeared in hand from the most jumpy of the patrons. Then the alarms went off. Unlike most people and patrons, being a veteran of spaceship travel and star base living, Samanthia stayed at her spot, letting those that panic clear out first. "Check it out!" Samanthia gave the order to one of the bouncers that stayed behind along with the bartender.
Bar tender grabbed an old tricorder and tossed it to the Bouncer who deftly caught it and began to scan the rooms of The Dive. After a few long moments of scanning. Bouncer spoke, "Something hit the decompression sensor and triggered the alarm. Somewhat yelling over annoying alarm.
"Can you get it shut off?" Samanthia spoke just as loud to be heard by her staff that lingered. Knowing full well she and those that lingered were trapped by the now closed and sealed bulkhead like doors that protected the rest of the station till the Alarm was neutralized and reset in Main Engineering. At least they wouldn't go deaf.
"We gotta wait till Base Engineering comes and checks it out!" Another of her staff yelled back as they was now stuffing their ears to muffle the now screeching alarm. "Only the can shut it off at the main console!"
"When this is over. I want an override switch in my office!" Samanthia yelled back. Seeing the 3/4 full bottle of Taittinger Pink sitting on the table that Sivity and her new found friends had left behind. She moved over to the table and served the champagne to her remaining bar crew. Might as well not waste the Pink. It was a good year.
Up in Main Engineering, one of the consoles began to flash a red light, alerting that there had been a hull breech on Deck 2301 and people were trapped in the danger zone.
One of her staff broke out several Air Cylinders and placed them about the place to be ready for use when the sealed off Dive ran low on air.
Finally someone up in Engineering had shut off the annoying screeching alarm within The Dive and sent a team down to investigate the Depressurization that triggered the alarm on Deck 2301.
Outside things were turning somewhat uglier. Credo blamed Giff for not bringing the bottle. Giff blamed Brant. Brant was accorded no time to defend himself as he was assaulted by an angry, young tattooed man who Brant had inadvertently knocked. The fight quickly escalated. Sivity used her natural grace and agility to slide between combatants. Where she could not do that a couple of deft, well placed blows soon cleared a path. As she ambled calmly away she smiled. She'd had fun; more than she had in a while. Samanthia was dangerous. Sivity liked that in a person, but speaking to her now was out of the question; she was behind a bulkhead. She fingered one of her many lucky charms as she made her way to another establishment of ill repute. As well as having fun, she might even learn something of use to the dynamic security of the starbase. She hoped that she didn't: she'd have to write a report.
