"Move!"

Jasmine should have suspected was up. Her newly energetic boss not only donned a formal evening dress, she insisted that the Shokirian do likewise.

As Corrie herded her towards a reserved dinner table in Warp-12, she explained, "You... have someone to account to besides me, you little matchmaker."

Jasmine was more than willing, but she was tense. Recent unfamiliar xeno encounters had been a little rough. She still sported a discrete membrane bandage over her cheek. "Uh oh, we're late."

"Fashionable on my planet, darling." Corrie walked up to the waiting Caitian with a smile, "Captain S'er'in'e!" She extended her hand, "A pleasure!"

S'er'in'e sat patently as invited waiting for his guests, his attire formal, his appearance regal and clothes though typical in feline design were well decorated with striking colours and patterns that flowed with ease and pleasentness. "Ma'am." S'er'in'e replied with a bow of his own. "I am honoured to have been invited to join you."

"Captain, I'd like to introduce Pest First Class Jasmine." She gestured with a wrinkled nose, "Just call her Jazz."

The Shokirian actually calmed. She pressed her palms together and offered a slow bow of the head. "Captain. I owe you an apology, Sir... a considerable one."

So this was the other. S'er'in'e seeing the formal gesture returned it with a bow of his own. "Your intentions were noble." He gestured with his hand the vacant seats. "Please, join me." He gave each an appreciative glance taking in the attire the pair wore.

Jasmine took the pitcher and poured S'er'in'e's glass for him, "I hope that you did not suffer a great deal from the rumors which I triggered."

Corrie studied the girl, making a mental note to share later. Apologies can become awkward if dragged out.

"Not at all." Aside from the trio of Ferengi that was all he had to endure, it was Corrie that seemed to bear the brunt of her intentions he gave a small smile, small being the case as he didnt want to frighten the poor girl with seeing his fangs.

Jasmine caught a discrete glimpse of Corrie's blush. Perfect composure concealed her thought, ~I know what you're thinking!~ She looked to the marine, "Captain, Corrine is a new woman, thanks to your floral miracle! I am so thankful that she no longer has to live in pain."

"I am honoured to have been of service." S'er'in'e answered. "On my world the females are the ruling sex, It is a pleasure to be of service or aid to a female. Caitian or not." The comment alone perhaps spoke volumes at the noticeable change in him when dealing with males when compared to females.

More than a few eyes had kept interested watch of the trio's table. Rumors would be stoked, but the openness of the dinner and Jasmine's presence lowered the juicy gossip factor. One particular soul, however, wasn't bashful or hesitant to approach.

The Shokirian's eyes widened with fear. A rather large Klingon male walked their way. Corrie knew what she feared, retaliation from her earlier confrontation with the Klingon female. "No no, Jasmine... he's a friend." They stood to greet the approaching warrior. Corrie bowed her head, "M'lord." She introduced, "This Marine Captain S'er'in'e. Captain, this Warrior Gob'kick. His ship recently defeated a pirate ambush."

S'er'in'e stood with the ladies as they did and saw the Klingon near. His face was one of confusion however at seeing the ladies become submissive to the new arrival. S'er'in'e knew of Klingons well having fought them in the past. They were strong and capable warriors and to be respected. "My congratulations on your victory." S'er'in'e spoke.

The Klingon nodded with approval. Not terribly civilized or well educated, he appreciated the respect. "You are a warrior! This is good! I and my men would test your skills!"

"You should seek Major Griffiths. She commands the Marine detatchment on this station. I say this not to cower behind a female but to avoid any breaches of honour on her as she does command." S'er'in'e worded that in such a way that didnt seem to be weak or shying away from a challenge, it saved face and honour which he knew Klingons valued. Still that said he felt his muscles tense, for what he was unsure but training was already kicking in.

The Klingon wrinkled his nose at the distastefulness of that scenario. "Hmh!" Still, he owed Corrine too much to lose his presence. "I look forward to it!" Gob'kick sized the Caitian up, then gave nods of approval to Corrine, "You attract good mates, woman!"

Corrie could control her composure, but not the two shades of red that she blushed. Jasmine also almost lost it. Her eyes crossed and she almost melted down her chair under the table.

Gob'kick leaned down to speak in a hushed voice to the Shokirian, "I would liked to have seen you flatten the Klingoness earlier. When you have your rematch, you must invite me!" He then threw his head back and laughed. Having said what he wanted, he marched back to his men to wolf down more burnt and sizzling meat.

Corrine, now well flushed with embarrassment and overheated, took calming breaths. She cleared her throat and raised her glass in a toast, "Xeno diversity on a starbase. It's never dull!"

S'er'in'e was glad to see the Klingon go and released the breath he was unaware he held. Klingons relied on brute force of strength and size. He knew that a blow would break bones, a hold could be fatal. The flush on Corrie was not unnoticed but the insinuation of him being her Mate. "I apologize. It was not my intention to provoke such a comment from him such as that." Even he was slightly embarrassed about it.

Corrine laughed, fully able to appreciate the humor of the moment. "Nono, no need." She settled, smile not fading, "It makes for a good memory."

S'er'in'e smiled, the Klingon he would need to watch for as he wondered if there was some kind of claim on Corrie he was unaware of, she did appear submissive to him after all but in light of the embarrassment caused it would be a topic for another time.
