Homeworld Bound Part I

Mission: By Dawn's Early Light
Location: Cait

S'er'in'e had been thinking for a while about Samanthia, she had been on his mind for some time of late and things were going very well as he saw them. She indicated interest in him and he admitted there was interest in her as well, she was accepting of him and not just for who but also what he was. Samanthia didn't try and change him, alter him to suit herself yet took him as he was. He had an idea he wanted to offer her but he was slightly worried she may take his offer as perhaps something too forward in the relationship nature, even if he did want to cultivate more in that direction ultimately.

He was not sure what her reaction would be or if she could even go, with her studies and her duties to Warp-12 and The Dive her free time was indeed limited.

Instead of interrupting her at work he had the computer message her, inviting her to his quarters to ask something. Knowing that an answer to such a question might indeed be some time off depending how busy she was he kept himself busy reading and listening to music.

Samanthia with a few friends were enjoying the time in her Lounge on the promenade. Celebrating the upcoming semester break known as 'Spring Break'. A soft chime of her pager drew her attention from the group. She glanced at it and smirked. She excused herself from the group and moved off to the Office to see who was messaging her.

She settled down at her desk and brought up her messages. She scanned through them, answering a few of them. Scowled as there was a tag to check a dead drop a her convenience. She had to do something about him as finally one situation with the refugees was solved. Then one caught her eye. She opened it up and read it. She smiled as S'er'in'e was showing an interest in her. She looked thoughtful as she stared at the invite for a few minutes. She then sent a message back to S'er'in'e.

Observation Lounge, Station time 20:00 hrs. S.A.

She sent the message off. It would give her plenty of time to finish her rounds and meet up with S'er'in'e later.

His computer chirped and he paused the music he was listening to. He read the message, it was from Samanthia. "20:00hrs." He spoke to himself. "Computer, time?"

"Current station time is 18.07hrs."

Plenty of time to get ready.

He walked into the Observation Lounge with three minutes to spare. An empty room from a brief look as the last occupant left as he himself was entering. He worried at how Samanthia would take his offer, he didnt want to seem pushy but at the same time a feeling at the back of his mind kept nagging him not to let her go.

Samanthia was sitting in the corner off to the side of the big observation window, on one of the many benches that offered a good view of the stars and an occasional ship disappearing into the void of space. She was wearing a simple dark green sleeveless sundress, black mary-janes. Her hair loose and draping neatly down her back.

Her thoughts were not on the mysteries of distance stars, but her affair with S'er'in'e and how he had felt against her. His aggressive animalistic ways yet caring enough not to tear her into shreds in the throes of passion. A soft smile graced her lips as she stared out into the void of space displaying its grandeur.

"May I join you?" He asked. He'd missed the side of the room in his haste. "You look very nice." He complimented perhaps also showing his inexperience a little. "I hope I have not taken you away from anything important but I wanted to ask you something."

He'd not sat yet, perhaps illustrating his worry of the question even if he tried to hide it. She had been on his mind much of late and her impressio n of him mattered to him. "I do not wish to seem too forward, if that is the correct Human term, but....I have been...thinking of you a great deal recently and I was hoping.. wondering if you would honour me by joining me for a trip to the Homeworld?"

Samanthia looked up at S'er'in'e when he spoke, slightly startling her at how he could move so silently. She listened to him speak with the same smile she had when lost in thought. She motioned him to sit next to her as she gave thought to his invite and other things. She turned back to the view as her eyes went cold briefly and then warmed gain. "When will you be leaving?" Her mind thinking of Visas and digging out her well worn passport since becoming a civilian once again. Then making arrangements for the care of the two establishments she ran.

He took the offered seat as usual coiling his tail around himself. "I am not sure, I wanted to ask you first before I made arrangements. I know you have ties and duties to the station and I know you have your studies also. I would understand if you could not travel with me but I wanted to offer to you the chance." It was prrhaps hard to fathom over 500lbs of natural predator as nervous but thats exactly what S'er'in'e was right at this moment.

Samanthia eyes twinkled at seeing the more obvious signs of S'er'in'e nervousness. Tail tip twitching. She looked thoughtful as she thought about her next semester at the university and the schedule she hadn't yet submitted yet. "I'd love to see Cait." It was rare that Caitians allowed offworlders to visit and a chance was something to grab when offered.

"I will gather schedules of transport for you to pick that most suitable for you." His mood picked up considerably, she had agreed to go with him. He felt this would be a good thing for them, a retreat for just themselves. All rhat he had to do now was pick when they would go. "May I ask how your day has been?"

"Been very good. Books are updated. Had a little party with some of my friends celebrating another successful semester at the university." She looked up at him next to her. "Eric is interested in you joining the Akiashiro Security Forces. When you get the time, swing by and see him."

She leaned against him, relaxing as she looked out into space letting her arm wrap around his waist above his tail.

S'er'in'e leant into her though only slightly considering mass and weight difference. His tail uncoiled from him and to her, his arm matching the move hers made and wrapped around her waist. "I shall make time tomorrow to see him." He held her close and felt comfortable and content, here was someone interested in him and showing it. "If I did join the security force. What would that mean for us?" He feared the worst, he didnt want to lose her and worried that joining security would mean just that. He was far more comfortable with her than a role in which he had to surrender what he had with her.

She just simply laughed softly, "I'm just as much as an outsider as you are. They don't care unless their name is dishonored. Once you've shown them you can be a valued asset to the Consortium, they'll treat you like family. Well in your case as security, Another of the hired help as you gain prominence in the hierarchy, proving yourself." She reached up and playfully tapped his nose. "So keep your nose clean and tail covered. You should do just fine."

"As you wish." He answered just as playfully. It would not be the end, thats what was important. Without realising it due to the warm feeling he was enjoying he was gently and softly purring. The low steady rumble that was normal to his own ears thus went unnoticed. "Is there somewhere you wish to go tonight? A walk, stay here, his or her quarters. He didnt mind for as long as she was with him he was happy about it, cautious but happy. It was still early days yet.

"I have to go. Be up early to meet an incoming shipment for my establishments." Samanthia stood up as she gently unwound his tail from her waist. She gave him a soft caress on his nose with her lips. "As much I'd like to spend more time with you. Duty calls early." Then she moved gracefully away from him, her steps lightly clicking against the deck with a more pronounced sway to her hips.

He smiled, her lips warm to his nose. "I understand." Initially he sat and watched her but the sway to the hips created another idea. He stood up and then lightly chased after her on hands and feet much like a feline. His eyes on her hips as she walked. He growled slightly as he came up behind her silently. "You should know by now what happens to those that taunt me." He didn't get up, he stayed down low on hands and feet moving like a feline stalking prey with a predatory look about his features.

Samanthia looked back over her shoulder at him, turning just a bit to give him a silluette of her physique. She gave a mock soft "Eeeeek!" of false terror, then laughed. Her laughter ringing out in enjoyment. She reached out and ruffled his head fur and then gave him a hug around his neck, burying her face in his fur. "You look so fierce." Muffled because of his fur. "And lovable."

He smiled and used one arm to hold her to him. Then using his size he brought her down to his level then onto her back. He growled and chuffed at her as he 'mauled' his prey, licking and nipped at her neck as he 'attacked' her but he tried to hide his laugh. "I will escort you home should you wish?" Playing the gentleman, even if he did just 'attack' her.

Samanthia went with the 'attack' and enjoyed the mauling. "I'd like that." She gently pushed him away as she stood up and smoothed out her dress which showed more wrinkles than before. "Next time we wrestle, you gonna be on the bottom." Reaching up and pulling her messed up hair back out of her face and into a ponytail.

S'er'in'e began escorting the lady home. At least she might stand....a bit of a chance if he were on bottom the thought rang through his mind. "We shall see." He playfully replied.

Samanthia smiled and gave him a hug. "Definitely." She stepped off the turbo-lift on Akiashiro Deck and moved through the Security Checkpoint without a backward glance with a light bounce in her step.
