Together Again - S'er'in'e / Samanthia

Posted on Sun Mar 27th, 2016 @ 5:46pm by Colonel S'er'in'e & Samanthia Akiashiro

Mission: By Dawn's Early Light
Location: Hanger Bay / Deck 1403 Akiashiro Deck
Timeline: After the Battle with the Sojourners - Part 1

Samanthia used the clout she had being part of the Akiashiro Consortium and her status as Major S'er'in'e mate to gain access to the vast fighter bay. She looked at the many vacant spots where once gleaming aerospace fighters once sat to be serviced. She didn't know where in the line up where S'er'in'e had a slot for his craft. So with each step and growing dread that her new husband was dead. She felt the anger boiling up within her. Then the regret that she would be the one to inform S'er'in'e's parents of his demise. Both vying for dominance within her as her steps became more rushed as she moved deeper into the Bay of Fighters, rudely ignoring some of the ground crews she would normally stop to chat with before the battle.

Little went unnoticed in the Hanger Bay, visual feeds direct to his office all mounted along one wall quickly pointed out Samanthia walking through the bay. He was glad she survived the attack, he didn't know where she was during or if anything had happened but seeing her on the monitor made everything seem less gloomy. He hoped to cut her off before she saw his fighter, it was hard to miss, more so now. He sprang from his chair with energetic feline grace and out of his office coming to a stop at the banister that gave him a commanding view of the bay. Amidst the noises of tools, computer equipment and chatter between ground crew members. He saw her, his world there walking looking for him.

He gave a slight rawr, only a small one but one that would seem out of place given it would be a first for people to hear it, but this wasn't for everyone, it was for just one person. Once done and attention gained he leapt down from the level to the ground floor landing on hands and feet like the feline he was and quickly made his way to Samanthia.

Hearing the feline roar, she spun around looking towards the source, expecting to see Erica, but when her eyes fell upon S'er'in'e. Relief flooded her expression and the bay became as silent as a tomb as her attention was focused upon him. Watching him leap down to her level, She rushed to him, embracing him tightly, to be bowled over by his superior weight and momentum as she hung onto him.

S'er'in'e held on to his Mate, the one most important thing in his life as if all else around him could fall away as long as he had her in his arms. He was gentle even if he did nearly sweep her off her feet perhaps not the most romantic of ways but the embrace superseded all else. He inhaled deeply, his large frame almost masking hers but the affection was apparent and joy clear to be seen to all the onlookers. Few used to wonder if the new CAG had a soft tender spot under that predatory exterior.

She regained her footing as she hugged him. "Call me! When you get back, so we don't have to worry so much about each other!" There was relief and a new tone to her voice. She looked at him differently as she studied him. Holding onto him, looking up at him. Then awareness of their surroundings came crashing back.

The same awareness seemed to flood over S'er'in'e as well, that glint in the eye, the realisation setting in. He stood upright lifting her upright as well. He could see many others looking at them and a slight growl with eyes warning dissuaded them of continuing. "You are right, I should have contacted you. I just have a duty to finish up here then I will return home to you." His hands didn't leave her sides, his hold on her ever so gentle, ever so light in contradiction to what he was and could do.

"Yeah... I should make sure our stuff is returned and get settled in..." Samanthia spoke softly, enjoying being with him. Still not moving from his embrace as she hugged him. Afraid he would vanish in a puff of smoke, part of some cruel joke. She finally stirred and let her intention known by releasing the her embrace of him. "I'll see you soon. In the Apartment."

S'er'in'e nodded and the two parted leaving S'er'in'e to his duties, he wouldn't get everything done as the task was never an easy one but a start was ultimately a start nonetheless.

Samanthia now at home was standing back and looking at the Paw Castings of her Mate. With careful arrangement of them do to size of each casting, she had them arranged from the smallest in the upper left hand corner to the largest just underneath it. As the size grew in progression to the right, and then wrapped underneath from smallest on the right to the largest on the left. Her furniture was arranged for his quick egress from the apartment if needed.

Giving herself a smile at the arrangement, Samanthia looked around the main room of the apartment. Smiling as she spotted fresh pictures of herself and mixed with S'er'in'e's. There were several of them together on Cait along with pictures of her parents and of his.

After a long duty shift in his office S'eri'n'e had taken a gentle pace back home, passing through security with no issues and the doors opened to find Samanthia standing in the room. "My Mate." He smiled walked to her. "How are you?" He noticed his casts were on show in size order. "You have been busy."

"I'm fine. How was your day?" She moved to him and leaned gently against him. "I hope you like the touches to the Apartment." Hugging him till he adjusted himself to her leaning against him. "I even made a place where you can fix into your private place." Pointing to a blank corner that gave him room fix up as he pleased. "Your stuff has been moved from your apartment on the upper decks into the spare room. What you don't use, you can either sell or ship to Cait. I've storage here on the level if you want to put stuff in. It's been coded to the both of us to have access."

"Thank you." He paused as he held her, enjoying the closeness of her, the scent and reassurance it provided. "Would you like to learn how to tend my claws and fangs and fur?" The offer made to enable her to see what she could do not just for him, but to him when ever she wished it.

"Claws and fur, yes. But your fangs are your job." Samanthia smiled up at the big Cat she leaned against. She was happy that he survived the war with the Sojourners. She, at times when the fighting had gotten close to the area that she was at along with the rest of the Civilians that hadn't evacuated from the station in time, became agitated and paced. This was the first time she had seen him since the war broke out over the big Star Base. "If you want me to learn, I will." Hugging him again that he was in perfect health, still in his flight suit.

It was not a case that Samanthia was required to learn, more of something the two of them could do together and something else, should she wish to, do for him. Hesitantly he released her and collected his kit from the container and showed her what to do, slowly, explaining what he was doing and why and pointing out things that should be avoided lest they cause harm. Tending to his fur was perhaps the easiest and most playful of the two ventures since it required him to shed his attire.

Samanthia watched as she listened to S'er'in'e show her how to take care of his claws and fangs. "Oooooo.. I get to shave the kitty," she spoke in a playful manner. "It's simple manicure, just like doing finger nails." She gently massaged his paw like hand, being careful not to scratch herself on his sharp claws. "Ow..." She looked closer between his 'fingers' and claws. She worked something loose from them and held the sliver of metal up so he could see it also. "This part of you?"

S'er'in'e looked at what she held. "I believe that is a remnant of the material I used to cast my claws for your gloves." He wondered how he'd not at least felt it there. "Are you injured?"

"Just a poke to get my attention," Samanthia spoke softly as she inspected much closer, gently spreading each 'finger' and claws for more residue of his handiwork. "It was stuck at the base of yur claws where it entered your flesh and up against the claw. Shifted when I pressed against it." She was enjoying the contrast of his rough finger pads for grasping; the softness of his fur and the hardness of his sharp claws.

"How you feel about children?" Samanthia asked softly, showing more interest in his paw hands than the question she brought forth.

"I feel they are the greatest creation between two loving people. Until recently I did not think I would have any. Why, would you like children with me?" S'er'in'e asked softly.

Samanthia took a long moments before answering, as a haunted look came over her face. She stepped from his embrace and moved over to where the old pictures used to be. "I would." Softly spoke, knowing his acute hearing would hear it. "I had children at one time. But lost'em to a terrorist act on a starbase." Turning to face her current husband mate. "They was 5 years old. My life as was my husband at the time." Looking up at S'er'in'e. Her expression soft and semi-distant.

He didn't like seeing her so distant from him but considering her words and her past he understood as best he could. "I understand that you feel uneasy about this, fearing a repeat especially with what I do." Truth be told he feared it too but not just because of what he did, but her also. All it could take was an unexpected disgruntled patron, one strike and it could all be over, for both of them. "I am unable to offer any kind of promise or reassurance, life is fickle and Starfleet has its risks and space its pitfalls. All i can offer is to be here with you as much as I can or you need me to be." A pause lingered and he felt he needed to change the note of the conversation. "Had you given thought to when you would like to...'try' for children. I believe that is the appropriate term Humans use."

She smiled, focusing on the 'here and now'. "Every time we're together, my love." Moving towards him and into his personal space to hug him, looking up at him. "We can use the spare room as the nursery." As the apartment came with two bedrooms separated by bathroom and exited into the common room of the apartment. "I appreciate the honesty, Ser." Smiling up at him.

He held her gently knowing sometimes his own strength could work against what he was trying to do. "I am not fully aware of the effects a pregnancy with a Caitian may entail for a Human, we should research it or speak to a Doctor for any insight they might provide."

"We'll find out," Samanthia smiled up at S'er'in'e. "I'll make the appointments. In the meantime. Need any help in getting settled in?" Giving a pointed look at the spare bedroom where she had his stuff placed when moved from his quarters elsewhere in the station.

"I have very little in terms of property to arrange aside from my attire. It should not take but moments to sort out. The rest is literature which you are welcome to read if you wish to, I can provide a translator." S'er'ine replied with a smile. "Or....should you wish...on what you said..." His tail slowly worked its way past her knee up her leg.

Samanthia felt the inquisitive tail brushing sensitive skin. "If I need one, I got a big furry one right here to make sure I get the nuances of translation correct." She moved closer and tightening her legs together to trap his tail there as she hugged him. "We'll have to fix some shelves for your literature, using the packing crates for now."

"Indeed." Shelves were more fitting for literature than packing crates. "I will have a set made that fits the decor and together we can pick a place that suits it." While there were a fair amount of books packed these were just a select he brought with him from Cait, the rest were still there waiting to be shipped. He would have done so on the trip back to 332 but his personal craft took up all of his allocated space.

"Even packing crates is a nice addition to the place. It gives a nice home feeling to the place. Besides if when we have children. Packing crates can take the abuse with little damage that whont need to be fixed or patched." She released him as she stepped away to move to her workstation. "We can use the cleared out space." pointing to the spot she had reserved for him.

"What of us when we need fixing and patching from the youthful torment of children?" He smiled. He wondered what the Doctor would say about the two of them, what issues would there be, precautions that had to be taken.

Samanthia leaned forward to type in commands as she looked at him over her shoulder at him, "I look forward to it and will cherish every minute of it! I've dealt with children of my own." Then gave him a saucy smile and turned her attention towards the console to make an appointment with Doctors.

S'er'in'e came up behind her and leaned forward, his height advantage over her meant she fit under him. His hands rested on the table top with the slight tap of his claws as he did so, his weight very gently upon her knowing he was a heavy individual. His head peeked over he shoulder and as if encapsulating her in his fur for safety he slowly purred.

"hmmmmmmmmmmmm.." Samanthia harmonized with his purr and felt the vibration upon her back, feeling what he allowed weight on her. She wiggled her hips against him, liking his consideration and warmth. She smiled at how she was lucky to be given a second chance at being married and more children. "All done. The appointments been made."

She turned under him and lean against the consoles counter and held onto him with one hand as the other removed her lower undergarment from under her dress she was wearing.

S'er'in'e shifted unaware at first what she was doing permitting her more room to maneuver. When it clicked however then came the grin, the fangs, the predatory look and imposing physical dominance over her. His nose traced a line from her shoulder to just under her ear drawing in her scent. He licked her neck once or twice to taste, a slight growl to taunt and he let go of the breath he'd been holding while doing this sending her hair wafting behind her with the force of it.

Samanthia laughed softly in the engulfing warm breath of her mate. She looked boldly back at him, still gripping his shoulder with one hand. She reached up to grab gently a hand full of his mane by his ears. "Claim what is your's for the taking, my love, my mate and husband." Whispered softly as she pulled herself up against him, pressing her clothed womanly physique up against his. She wrapped her legs around his waist as she buried her face in his neck fur, breathing in his scent. She would've gave him a bite to the neck, but her teeth were much different than his.

S'er'in'e growled again at the offer which became enhanced at the tug of his mane by her hand. She said all the right words, in just the right way to teeter him on the edge. Using his size he forced her to a laying position on the tabletop, the computer may have dropped to the floor but S'er'in'e heeded no attention to it. There was no hiding how he felt given his breathing and lead taking, Samanthia was on offer and he would enduldge.

He slowly righted himself to a standing position but not before he put his large hand square centre of her chest. "Do not move." His claws appeared adding emphasis to his command with there presence gently on her skin. With his other hand he removed his uniform tunic which was easy given racial requirements to prevent overheating. His trousers however though just as easy to remove one handed were obstructed by her legs wrapped around him. With some maneuvering though he stood in a shroud of black fur. His keen hearing picked up her breathing, his eyes the view, his waist her unyielding hold, his nose her arousal.

To many seeing S'er'in'e hyped up, breathing quickly, claws out and fangs showing would cause some to fear his next move. However Samanthia was in no danger. "Do you enjoy making me this way?" He did and she seemed to enjoy teasing him frequently.

Leaning down again his free hand beside her head as his own came close to her face. In Caitian he told Samanthia he loved her, the UT on his uniform translating it at a quieter tone than usual. Like the predator he is he sniffed at her neck as if sizing her up as prey to be eaten now that he'd caught her. Secretly he'd been looking into intimacy with Humans while Samanthia was away, he was putting some of what he learned into use hoping she'd enjoy it.

"Now....I will claim you." Hooking his claws under her dress he slowly dragged his hand downwards using his claws to tear and cut away at her dress. All the while nipping at her neck, licking and drawing in her scent. Once done he smiled and then as instructed, claimed her.

Samanthia shivered with delight as his claws raked her skin while ripping the cloth away from her body. She sighed with delight as he claimed her. He presented a force that appealed to her and a more primitive side of her responded to drive and meet his animalistic nature, loving every second of it. She hissed softly 'yeeeahhhssss.." Loving sharing of intimacies and snuggling up against his warm soft fur. Tightening her hold with her legs around his waist as she hugged him to press herself humanly possible against him, moving with the age old rhythm...

Yes she did love teasing S'er'in'e, as her way of showing love to the big Caitian that towered up over her 5'6 height. Loving the looks she received in return making her feel, at least in her eyes, beautiful at the responses she got from him.

By the end of it little was said but all was done as he lay breathing heavily gently upon her. His aim was to satisfy and everything told him he'd done that. the tabletop held a sheen of sweat upon its polished surface and after a brief rest he gently scooped her up into his arms and took her to the shower to freshen up. He didn't see any claw marks, scratches or cuts open her and was glad about that, he wanted to please, not harm.

Samanthia snuggled against him in his embrace as he carried her. She could become highly spoiled by his attentiveness to her well being. She murmured softly, "I love ya," muffled by his fur as she held on to him as they entered the refresher to get cleaned up.

S'er'in'e replied though in Caitian, he said it normally, then slower and slower again so that she might be able to learn and say it herself, a little private thing between them. He turned on the water as it cascaded down upon them with its refreshing warmth and feel. The array of shampoos and conditioners suitable for both of them lined a shelf, it was obvious who's belonged to who.

Samanthia repeated the Caitian phrase as she felt the water warmth flow over her body. She smiled at the way S'er'in'e made himself at home. She stretched delightfully in the shower and then cleaned up, letting him do her back. Then she helped him get clean using his fur shampoos and soaps in places he couldn't reach. Enjoying his playfulness with his tail. She washed his tail, making sure not to upset his balance.

A little off but practice would remedy that with repetition. He stood as she washed him allowing her to work, he was a large feline and his fur needed constant attention to remain neat and presentable. Things had come a long way since when he arrived on the station and now he had a Mate, who could tend to his fur and claws and now learning some phrases in Caitian. She enjoyed his cooking and he was happy to make it though smaller portions did take some reminding himself in light of his Mate. He felt warm as he thought about her saying she wanted children, something himself never thought he would have yet here now in a position to have just that.

She was teaching him much of Human ways which in turn required him to remember he was stronger and much heavier than Samanthia, he was constantly aware of his claws when she was near but that was also out of habit since leaving the Homewold. He was happy, content and for the moment sated.....for the moment at least.

Once she was done washing S'er'in'e and rinsed off, Samanthia stepped from the shower to let him have a few moments alone. She dried off and put on a clean clothing. Brushing out her hair, already planning out her schedule. Check up on the Dive, and then Warp-12 Lounge and restaurant. Staying out of the way of the rest of the Akiashiro's returning to the starbase to make once again Deck 1403 more home like.

S'er'in'e didn't take much longer until he too was finished in the shower. Wet as he was his fur flush against his skin made him look like he was half the weight he actually was, but a quick rub over with a very large towel fixed that for the most part. Without a towel he walked into the front room where Samanthia was but also where they had left his kit for his fur and claws. "Your plans for today?" He purred as he walked past her, his hand gracing her lower back as he passed.

Samanthia looked up at her mate as he passed by. "Need to check up on my establishments. One on the lower decks and then Warp-12 the lounge I run on the Promenade." Looking thoughtful at the notes she wrote down, "Need to switch holo-programs from medical to a lounge atmosphere." She looked up and admired his physique in motion the way his fur rippled from the muscles movement. "hmmmmmm..."

His ears picked up her reaction which stopped him and slight turn. "You approve my Mate?" He asked yet his smile slightly hidden by a combination of the light and his black fur.

"Tempting for another tumble." She smiled as she stood up from the chair she was curled up in. "If you want to tag along, It's fine with me. But I whont keep you from anything you need to do." As she was already dressed to head out. Blue jeans that hugged tightly to her, loose soft yellow sweat shirt that hid her physique, yet shown a lot of washing and sleeves pushed up past her elbows. She slipped on shoes that were designed for comfort and rapid movement if needed. Her hair tied back into a ponytail.

S'er'in'e nodded indicating he'd be just a moment as he changed into a traditional two piece jacket and trouser set. There was a momentary delay as the clasp on his trousers that completed the waist band above the tail refused to cooperate. Once done he too was ready. "I am ready my Mate." He spoke as he waited.

Seeing that he was ready, Samanthia led the way out into the corridor. Making her way through the somewhat crowded corridors as workers, servants of the Akiashiro's were restoring the corridors back to it museum like state before the attack. Some looked at S'er'in'e in awe briefly before they was nudged back into activity.

Arriving back at the turbolifts, Samanthia smiled as she took note that Akiashiros Security were kicking some squatters off the deck. She nodded to the lead Security Officer. "I need a lift to get to my business."

"Yes Ma'am, we'll reserve the next lift for you and your mate." They nodded to S'er'in'e with respect, then turned to his troops to bark orders hold the eviction till after Samanthia and S'er'in'e were on their way down lower into the station where minor manufacturing was going on.

Samanthia smiled her thanks to the Security Chief and his men as she boarded the turbolif. Awaiting for S'er'in'e to come also.

S'er'in'e stepped in coming to a stop beside her as the doors closed, how some people looked at him puzzled him, had they never seen a Caitian before or was it simply his appearance and presence next to Samanthia that surprised them. "I have noticed some look at me confused, do they know we are mated or it is because I am an alien species on a dominantly Human deck?" It didn't so much bother him, he just hoped that it didn't pose a problem for Samanthia's station with the family. As the saying went, rulers should fear the people, not the people it's rulers.

"Deck 2301," Samanthia looked thoughtful as she thought on the question. "I think it's a bit of both." She smiled warmly up at him. "Pretty soon, you'll be just another resident that lives on the Coveted Deck 1403. We may not be on the umbrella of the station which is prime real estate and over crowded as it's the most desired place to be."

"How would the your family take to a pregnancy, I believe I am the only non Human member linked to it through a Mate." S'er'in'e asked, while he was happy to have children, he did not know how they would be received by the rest of her family.

Samanthia gave a soft laugh at that. "I'm married into the Akiashiros, had two girls when I used to be in Fleet and so was my husband." Her voices softened. "He and my daughters died in a terrorist attack on SB 12. I then resigned my commission and from Starfleet. I opened a bar there till I ran afoul of the stations hierarchy. So I decided to hop aboard a ship and come out here to try my luck."

She turned her attention to the electronic sign that showed the levels as the turbolift dropped down the stem towards deck 2301. "My surname I was born with was Iiawah." She looked at him.. up at him to make eye contact with him.

"Any children we have, will they also be Akiashiro?" He still had trouble pronouncing that name. He also wondered how the family, being mostly if not all Human in species would take a mixed species addition of children.

"They'll be ours and accepted as part of the Akiashiro Clan. Tamarue will probably dote on them as if they was her own grandchildren." Samanthia smiled up at the big Caitian at her side, so worried about trivial matters. "Beside, their family crest carries the Heron and the Tiger. They see you as a sign of good fortune."

The lift came to a stop and the doors opened on Deck 2301. The air was filled with muted sounds of machinery that manufactured goods and provided the necessary functions to keep a Starbase operating. Samanthia moved with surety through the labyrinthine ways of passage to a door that had the sign 'The Dive' taped to it. As they approached, the door open, letting loose the music and conversation to burst forth.

Conversation died as the customers saw what was following Samanthia into their corner of station and place of relaxation. Card games momentary suspended. Hostile conversation stopped. All to check out the newcomer to the Dive that followed Samanthia into the establishment.

He was not unfamiliar to sounds stopping when he stepped into the room, as tall as he was and his feline appearance what it is it was something that perhaps he first experienced at the Academy. He could feel the eyes on him from most of the occupants of the room, the establishment having a...colourful reputation amongst the less than social sorts.

Samanthia received questioning looks after a curt nod of greeting from the more regular patrons of the Dive. She returned the nod as she approached Zeb as he moved to greet her. "Here to check up on the books and inventory?" He asked when she gotten close enough for him to be heard by her.

"Yeah. Seeing how bad we gotten hit by the invaders, Zeb." She motioned for S'er'in'e to get comfortable at the bar as she followed Zeb into the back room, past the 'Authorized Personnel Only' sign.

"We didn't get hit to hard by them. Most of the patrons that slipped through the round-up, rallied here and helped to defend the place." Zeb spoke as he brought forth the ledgers for her to look through. "Whose the Cat?"

"My husband." Samanthia spoke as she settled at the make-shift desk to go through the ledgers. "Imported drinks he must pay for like everyone else. Replicated drinks are free of course." Opening the first of the many ledgers.

"A lot of patrons are gonna be upset that you're off the market." Zeb gave a soft chuckle as he took a nearby seat on an extra barstool near the desk.

"I was never on the market," Samanthia looked up at Zeb. "Are you disappointed?"

"I knew you wouldn't go for an old worn out spacer bum like me, Miss Sammy." He gave a smile at her. "Even though I had some hope. But now the Dream is gone."

"For what it is worth, Zeb. I do appreciate having you running this place for me and watching my back." She smiled at him with the warmth of friendship.

Zeb nodded, "I should be getting back to the bar. It aint gonna be running itself." He stood up and placed a fatherly hand on her shoulder.

She stood up quickly and gave him a quick hug. "If I hadn't found him, you would've been on top of the list." Softly as she sat back down to resume looking over the ledgers.

Zeb walked out from the backroom with a slight blush to his face. "What yur poison, Cat?" Looking at S'er'in'e.

"S'er'in'e, and nothing for now thank you." He replied. He caught her scent upon Zeb and pulled in the natural instinct. "Have you been friends with my Mate long?" He asked as he looked about. "I can smell her on you." Indicating the typical Caitian sense of smell.

"Yeah," Zeb spoke well aware of Caitians abilities. "Ever since she opened this place about a year ago. She gave me the chance make something of myself. Zeb." He stuck out his hand towards S'er'in'e. "Treat her right. She has many friends on this station both in high and low places."

He took his smaller hand in his much larger own. "My customs and traditions dictate I am forbidden to do otherwise." When the shake parted he looked around again. "Many seem curious." As he'd noticed some still looking at him from when he walked in flanking Samanthia.

"You're a newcomer to the establishment. Many will be curios about you." Zeb stated the obvious to him. "To see if you're a threat or not." In his off-handed way of the typical bartenders across the galaxy to hide the curiosity he had also whether S'er'in'e would be a troublemaker to the business, which he was more concerned about than the Clientele that come and go from the place. "Imported drinks cost, replicated drinks are free."

"I am only a threat if the well being of my Mate is put at risk, I do not seek trouble or aim to make it, but I am bound to protect my Mate regardless of location or persons involved." S'er'in'e replied, there had to be some understanding that a loved one wouldn't stand by while those they loved was in trouble and S'er'in'e was no different.

Zeb nodded. "Heard rumors that you cats were a bit overprotective." He set a glass of water before S'er'in'e. "It's going to take awhile with the books as you know the brief incursion of unwanted hostilities. Just needing to make sure none of our stock decided to take a walk during that time."

"It is true, males will go to any lengths to ensure the safety and well being of a female, even if they pay the ultimate price for it. The female is the dominant gender on the Homeworld, they hold positions of authority, leadership and heads of households and the provider of offspring should they deem the male worthy. The males serve." S'er'in'e moved the glass to within hand reach. "I do not mind the wait."

The patrons of the Dive, got used to the Caitian at the Bar and resumed their business in a more subdued manner, least he (S'er'in'e) was working for the opposition.

Zeb returned to his bartending duties. "You with Fleet or have a Civilian Contracted Job here on the Star Base?" As he picked up his clean rag and another beer mug to polish in between serving drinks.

Samanthia, in back, was looking through the figures and doing her own inventory, taking in account of the day's usage of the drinks when numbers didn't match up or were off by a few numbers. She kept an ear open to for any sounds of a fight breaking out, but the normal tavern sounds reached her through the separating curtain.

"I am the stations Commander Air Group." He replied sipping the water in hand. "A recent posting but one I enjoy, prior to that I was the Marine Executive Officer." He could hear things return to some apparent normality like when he entered but he could tell the other patrons were wary of him.

Zeb nearly dropped the beer mug he was polishing when S'er'in'e revealed his position within Fleet. "We don't get such prestigious personnel in here." Several nearby patrons at the bar, looked at S'er'in'e a bit more closer and then moved to another location. A ripple effect shot through the bar as other patron passed the word to others that were more concerned with their illicit business and missed the announcement. "I take it you're going to be a regular appearance when Sammy shows up here?" Showing his fondness and familiarity for Samanthia by freely using a shortened version of her name.

"I doubt that. I would not wish to impose on her work place, I am here because she invited me to accompany her. I may from time to time attend when she is here be it to escort her home or meet her towards the end of her shift." S'er'in'e responded. He had no intention of interfering, this was her hard worked area of employment, an established balance of order and one that was important to her, he was not about to go and ruin it for her.

Zeb nodded as he spoke softer, just loud enough so that S'er'in'e could hear him. "Between me and you. A lot of illicit activity goes on here. But rest assured that Sammy is an untouchable here by the order of the local branch." He placed the mug with the rest of its compatriots and leaned towards S'er'in'e under the guises of polishing the already gleaming Edlerwood counter top. "You aint. So this part of the conversation never happened." Then he returned to normal conversation. "But then we do get a lot of outsiders." Letting S'er'in'e know she was protected down this deep in the station were Security had minimum patrols.

Samanthia was safe, that was all he cared about. He could look after himself and someone had to be foolish or rather brave to engage a Caitian in combat. He sipped his drink again waiting for his Mate hoping that all was well following the attack imposed on them earlier.

Samanthia came out, nodding to Zeb, pausing long enough to help herself to a glass of orange juice. "Bring the books and the latest ledgers up to my place, when you close up for general cleaning and restocking." She glanced at S'er'in'e and a small smile formed on her lips. She took a drink as one of the waitress approached and made a saucy remark about S'er'in'e.

Samanthia gave a soft laugh as she replied. "And he's all mine! You can look and admire, but paws off." getting a laugh from the waitress, who would spread the word to the other employees and patrons alike.

S'er'in'e smiled as he saw Samanthia exit her office, scoop up a drink, say something that he couldn't make out but her look indicated something to the positive. He stood up from his bar stool, a slight bow but his eyes didn't leave her. "The damage as expected?"

"Lost about estimated 20 full bars of Latinum worth of stock due to theft," She looked at S'er'in'e. "Just need to figure in today's usages to get a more accurate accounting." As she sat at her customary spot behind the bar to finish off her drink. Her eyes darting over the patrons who were engrossed with their business, and entertainment.

"Are you able to obtain compensation from Station Services for your losses?" S'er'in'e asked, he was not privy to the intricacies of running a business. "It would appear that you and I are worth some attention from the patrons here presently."

Samanthia looked thoughtful for a minute, then spoke. "I tend to keep business separate from the Station. I'll go through Elder Akiashiro first." She smiled warmly at S'er'in'e as she shrugged. "They'll get over it. If not...I'm sure they can be persuaded otherwise."

S'er'in'e smiled as it seemed Samanthia had it all figured out. "Where would you like to eat, if you are hungry of course?" He was but he didn't mind putting food off if she was not.

"We can have something to eat at the Lounge up on the Promenade." Samanthia stood up and placing the glass with the rest of the dirty ones. She moved to Join S'er'in'e to leave together from the bar.
