Arrival

Mission: Indomitable Will
Location: USS Athens

Parker stood at the edge of one of the Galaxy class's large windows in its forward lounge. The streaking starlines that denoted the ships travel at warp speed slowed then disappeared into simple pinpricks as the aging ship dropped into the system. Suddenly a planet was in front of him, a small dot far away. He couldn't see it now but he knew that the Station was there orbiting the planet. He couldn't recall it's name at the moment but he knew he'd remember it soon enough.

"So that's it?" A voice from beside him asked. Turning to look at his wife, Parker smiled.

"Well that's the planet yes. The station is there somewhere." The red haired man replied as he reached over and wrapped his hands around her waist. "You know you didn't have to come. You could have finished out your tenure at the school."

"And let you run amuck on some unknown world with a bunch of marines and actually have fun?! No, I couldn't do that." Madison Parker said as she leaned up against her husband and laughed.

"Nope guess not." He replied as he watched the planet get closer and a small prick of light appeared that he assumed was the station. Despite its massive size it still paled in comparison to the planet.

"So here we are. Another new home, another new adventure. Maybe this time we can get some nice big quarters with the possibility to expand." She said with a hint of mischievousness in her voice. For a while she had wanted a child, and it wasn't like he didn't want one too, he did. It was just they never seemed to have the timing right.

Maybe that was the reason she had joined him Parker mused to himself. Time with his wife was never a bad thing though so he was happy.

The station in the distance took a solid form, the massive facility dwarfing the small amount of ship traffic around it. It was Starbase 332.

It was going to be home.
