Mission: Who Watches The Watchers
Location: Deck 1403

It was one of those quiet days where she had accomplished a lot. Getting Ledgers updated, inventories done in both of her establishments, one on the Promenade and the Dive down in the more industrial section of the starbase. She had the news tuned into the Archia IV News feed. Things had quieted down a lot when the majority of the refugees returned to their home planet and the refugees camps were finally torn down with the areas all cleaned up. The land returned to the rightful owners to do with as they please.

Samanthia relaxed with a light snack and with Mariah, quietly playing in her room, giving her one of those quiet moments. Even S'er'ine was off dealing with General Lowe. She could see he was under a lot of stress as no matter how you can keep the lid on the situation with Captain Von, Starbase Commander. With her under investigation and most likely rest of her command team would fall like dominoes once she was convicted, or reassigned.

She stood up and moved to the viewport and stared out into space. If S'er'ine got reassigned, it would mean Mariah and her moving to where ever he was assigned to. She mentally figured up her wealth and realized that she was quite wealthy, even without the Akiashiro Fortune she had access to just by marrying into the family.

She wondered if Raphael could throw his political weight around to get Captain Von charges dropped by other means without having her face what ever military courts decides to do. But then that would leave her with a debt with Elder Akiashiro could call upon her when it was to his advantage. Maybe even have more of a say with Captain Von in effecting the matters of daily operation of SB 332. Or get the Caitians involved so what ever disgrace befell Captain Von wouldn't have any effect on S'er'in'e and his career with Starfleet.

She liked living on the Akiashiro Exclusive Deck of SB 332. It may not be up in the umbrella portion of the starbase huge drydocking area, but at least here on SB 332 was more of a home than when she was on SB 12. Her apartment here was twice the size in what she had on SB 12, even though it was small to the other apartments on this Deck where other family members lived. It never got crowded with refugees when they were flooding the station and didn't have to deal with the problems of dealing with the disturbance and the associated problems that came with it.

She watched a civilian freighter pop into exitance after exiting subspace ftl flight, then watched the tiny flashes of braking and maneuvering thrusters slow and maneuver the huge freighter with its load of freight to its assign orbit to detach one of the huge cargo pods for the station. Seeing the small swarm of worker bees from the station jet out to the pod to bring it to the station and others to help the Freighter to adjust the other Huge Cargo pods into a tighter grouping for better maneuverability while in flight.

She eyed the personal communication console within her apartment. As she could make personal long subspace calls on it through the Akiashiro Communication System. But it still would cost her some money or Fed Credits. At least there would be very little or no interference from Star Fleet. Not even General Lowe, nor Star Fleet could not interfere with the transmission.

She moved to the apartment's computer console and began to figure out the time difference on the Star base 332 and Cait. Then distance and the lag time between transmission between SB-332 and Cait. ~~This ought to be interesting to see.~~ She hoped that she could get some sort of response or pressure from Cait to prevent S'er'in'e reputation and Fleet Service getting blackened by the unfavorable outcome of Cpt Von trial.

Samanthia shut the computer off after getting the desired information as she stood up to go dig out the Caitian finery. And the jewelry of her status which also reflected her mated status along with her Mate's status within his Warrior Society and Social Standings within Cait's hierarchy. She paused for a moment to think things over about getting Cait Diplomatic coverage for Captain Von, making her untouchable within Star Fleet unless Von did something that was outright criminal negligence on her part. She could work with shades of grey, but outright flag-waving 'in yur face' criminal negligence. She would've heard something from gossip mill on the station on something like that. Even her Mate, being as honorable as he is, would put duty first and the protection of those below him regardless whether they was Marine, Fleet or Civilian.

She paced a bit debating on whether to include Captain Von with S'er'in'e. She smirked a bit, deciding on how the outcome went with S'er'in'e, first before adding another and Non-Caitian. She gave a nod as she resumed her way to the master bedroom.
