Mission: The Mystery Men of Mira
Location: lower deck gambling bar

::IC::

Garbeano, average human, wearing loose non descriptive clothing, that blends in with any social group, looks over the club's smokey atmosphere. Seeing a Marine looking around worried at the dwindling supply of poker chip before him.

Ramone had dropped a lot of cash and extended that with IOU's. He knew he drawn the attention of several unsavory characters in the bar. He was the only Marine in the place as it had been put off limits. There was a few hands he had done well at

Garbanzo seeing how to help his boss, whispers to the bartender, "That Marine there? He looks like his luck about to turn for the worse..." Watching the Marine win a small pot of poker chips and the cards were quickly dealt again.

"He's just about to get a visit from Oscar, if he doesn't pull of a miracle." The bartender spoke back to Garbanzo. Motioning for a waitress to deliver another round of drinks to the table.

"How much he owes?" Garbeano smiled predatory as his mind whirled with the possibilities of having an inside man of the new Marine Garrison.

"Let me check," Bartender moved down the bar and returned carrying a ledger, "Mmmmmmm...." looking at the now opened ledger to the Marine's page of what he owes to the club. "6 latinum bars," showing Garbeano the debt acruied with the Marine's I.O.U's.

Garbeano nodded as he looked over at the table where he could see a few hands of several at the table. All good betting hands for a good return in the winnings. Knowing that the Marine was being set up to lose with his good hand. He had seen it all before.

It would have to come down soon Ramone thought, he just didn't have much left in the pile.. They had been swapping cards on him every Third hand. He wasn't sure if these guys were just after his cash or if he had actually found a good source the Captain had talked about in his briefing.

Garbeano waited at the bar as he signaled Oscar as the final betting was talking place and pile was growing till it was the Marine turn to place his bet. He could match the pot and hope for the best or raise. But to raise the bet, that would mean for another trip to the Tender to get more chips and another I.O.U.

Ramone looked at his hand.DAMN. He wouldn't be able to fix this one. He didn't want to raise the Federations bills anymore than he had to but this was getting stupid. He was going to take the pot with this hand. All he could do was fold really. which made him a fool if he raised. OK, he was in.. He matched the pot.

The rest at the table matched and called, as the hands were laid out to be seen to determined the winner, it went to another who had a royal flush in spades: A,K,Q,J,10 of spades. The winner swept the chips to his section of the table gloating as he stacked his new winnings.

The Dealer shuffled the cards with an uncanny ease of many hours of shuffling, from the standard shuffle to spreading the cards out and flipping the row of cards over face up and the flipping them face down for another quick shuffle before looking at the Marine, "We can wait if you want to get more chips? Or you gonna walk?" Setting the cards in front of the Marine to cut the deck, before the dealer dealt the cards.

Ramone had had enough in IOU's to make him a good target so far. He decided if it wasn't going to happen at this joint he may have time to find anther. The last Three were pretty clean. This was the only one he had been extended credit several times.. He got up from the table he could feel the implant in his scalp. It was warm, which was a good sign that it was still transmitting.

"I need to use the Head, I'll think about it..."

Oscar, being a big man would even make a crazed Klingon hesitate, just nodding makes his eyes wobble in their sockets from one to many brawls about the station. He walked into the refresher in a few minutes after the Marine. Catching the Marine still taking care of business. Shoved him rudely up against the wall making the Marine straddle the commode and pinning him there, leaned in close, speaking menacingly to him, "Boss wants you to pay up now! He tired of waiting for your big win." Doing a quick frisk for weapons or anything of value to hawk on the black market, while keeping him pinned with his bulk.

He weight of the Man was extreme , Ramone was pinned hard. "If I had the Money on me I wouldn't have needed the IOU's damn it, Let me lose."

Garbeano timed his entrance as the Marine spoke, then responding. "Well Feddy Marine stormtrooper. This ain't the Moneyless Federation where ya play for free and expecting someone to bail ya out. Feddies didn't twist ya arm to come here and use our hard earned money to line your pockets." Giving Oscar a nod, which he slammed his fist hard into the Marine's kidney area. "What should we do with ya? Try to collect it outta your hide or...." Letting his voice fade, giving the Marine think over his options.

The punch stunned him. Not much to do now but ride the situation out. If these goons wanted money they were going to have to wait. If they let him go and get it they would all be in custody within the hour... He had to report in in Six hours before they would come and find him.

Oscar found the Marine's combadge and tossed it over to Garbeano, who deftly caught it. Looking it over carefully. Suddenly Garbeano made shushing sounds and Oscar leaned forward and whispered softly, "This may be your unlucky day," giving a soft insane snicker.

Garbeano scowled as he dismantled the combadge that all Feddy military carried with them. "Kill him, he's no good to us." Oscar nodded and the next punch was more of a taking the Marine's head and smashing it hard against the wall with a good solid thump!

Ramone never saw it coming. Just blackness. His body was instantly limb. Within seconds his brain was dead and his Heart stopped.

Oscar carried the now dead Marine out between him and Garbeano to hide the dead body of the Marine from the rest of the patrons of the Back Alley Bar. They dumped the body in a cargo storage room and dumped a bunch of crates on him.

Garbeano set the combadge nearby and dropped a heavy crate on the dismantled combadge, smashing it even more. Then they left, leaving the dead Marine behind with multiple crushed bones and several lethal knife wounds, and a badly fractured skull.

It would be early in the next shift before the battered remains would be discovered by a Three man maintenance crew. And mere seconds before Station security was called.
