Samanthia moved through starbase for her evening courses that was being provided by the Educational Department. She knew all the other professors and teachers as they had often visited her club/lounge. She looked at the required course syllabus and paying close attention who was the instructor. "Tammy Olinski... mmmmm" Looking thoughtful as she entered the classroom with the other milling students of varying ages, discussing various topics or just having friendly conversations in getting to know their new classmates they haven't met yet.


Tammy stepped into the hall, it appeared there was close to Three Hundred.. students attending the orientation seminar. Several guest speakers had been on the platform and she was the last to speak after the students had been given a break.


"Good evening please take your seats." She waited while the students shuffled to their chairs.

"Good morning and welcome to the University. My name is Tammy Olinski. I'm the Department head of admissions here at Archa. There have been some changes here this semester and those changes are posted in your handout and republished student guidebook. I'm just going to go over some points for our newest students."

"First the university is a closed campus after Ten PM. That means all visitors must leave the campus before that time with no exceptions. The second issue is consideration of your fellow students. Noise complaints will be handled by security and led to removal of your campus privileges. The dining hall is now open Twenty Four hours a day and serves classic menus. Another vending area has been added to our new North campus for your needs and we have the funding for a gym complex approved by the board of regents. That will be starting very soon. I ask that all students and faculty remain out of posted construction areas at all times to prevent injuries."

"My office is located in the main building and my staff can assist you in any questions you may have regarding your admission status. Feel free to stop by anytime and have a chat."

"Fleet personnel are forbidden to reside on campus due to security concerns. Shuttles will be provided for their transportation at cost. Again thank you for your time and welcome to the University." Tammy stepped of the platform as the program was concluded. her staff had set up a console in case anyone had questions or was completely lost..


Samanthia moved through the students, native to Archa, Fleet personnel, and other civilians. She kinda stood out on the older end of the spectrum as she approached Tammy with a soft smile, "Excuse me, Professor?" Semi-blocking her egress from the Audience Hall. "Several of my classes that I registered for, have two to three hours lab work on campus and they take place after the posted Curfew hours for those that don't reside on planet. Does that effect those civilians that reside on the station?"

"No dear, not at all. If you have assigned classes security is aware of who is authorized to be on campus. We definitely need to keep this University as safe as we can."

Samanthia smiled, "Thank you for your time," Letting Doctor Olinski continue on her way. She turned away and moved to several other Staff that she needed to talk to.

Tammy made note of the student as she moved off down the line. There were so many students registering she would be there for several more hours to be sure..
