Mission: The Wainwright's Cadets
Location: Main Bridge [Deck 1, USS Wainwright]
Timeline: After 'Wainwright Cadets'

Acting Captain CSG St.Could was pleased with herself when the ship finally left the station without mishap and not to much delays. They made it in the departure window she had set. Now it was just basic routine stuff. She stood up and moved about the bridge, getting a closer look at each station on the bridge and a general questioning to satisfy her curiosity. As the big ship made its first warp jump to a small outpost. Which was a Communication Relay Station being upgraded for the sector and to be tied in with the rest of the vast network that belonged to the Federation.

Errowyn knew she was beginning to make bridge crew nervous with her circuit of the bridge, But she felt useless as she eyed the Ops station with a yearning. At least she could do 'Look Busy Work' instead of pacing about. "I'll be in the ready room." She announced as she fled the bridge to the quiet sanctuary of the Ready Room.

Once in the quiet room, she flopped down on the nearest chair. Leaning back and resting her head on the backrest, looking up at the ceiling, "Why did you volunteer to be Captain! It's gotta be the most boring job on the ship!" She whined to the ceiling.

Emma would have been lying if she said St. Cloud's pacing and questioning wasn't making her nervous. As the science officer, she was mostly just tasked with monitoring the sensors to see if anything interesting passed within range. But being micromanaged made her worried that she was going to miss something. She was more than a bit relieved, though a bit confused, when Errowyn suddenly took off to the ready room. She hadn't even placed anyone in charge, which left Cadet Phelps even more confused. She looked towards the officers to see if any of them gave any indication of what might have been going on.

Errowyn signed as she had shown more authority and confidence as a waitress in Warp-12 than she was feeling right now than in charge of a ship that was armed and out on its first mission with a Cadet Crew and Instructors. But she liked the power of being in charge. It was a exhilarating experience.

Vestara watched Cloud go into the Ready Room and wondered if she should follow. Though the thought of interrupting the cadet's private time might be more trouble then it was worth. The Warrant Officer had already called Cloud on a few things at the beginning and now it was time to let her prove herself.

She couldn't help but think that Cloud may need real encouragement, or at least a ear to listen to. Vestara knew being a leader was a hard job and can be a lot of pressure but knew it might not do Cloud any good if she was constantly guided around. The bosun tapped her combadge. "Computer locate Commander Gunning?"

Just as the computer registered the request, the turbolift doors sighed apart and Gunning stepped onto the bridge. "Commander Gunning is on the Main Bridge, Deck One." the computer responded unhelpfully.

"How are we getting on up here?"

Lieutenant Yzhara had been monitoring the ship's status from the instructor's console. "Everything has been running smooth so far, Commander. Except that our CO just took off into the ready room without leaving anyone in command."

Gunning smiled wistfully. "Ahh the self-confidence of youth. Cadet..." His finger began to wave around the room before his finger landed on Cadet Tim Sutherland, not that Gunning could remember his name. "...you. You have the CONN."

Sometimes she just hated the computer, but this time Vestara hadn't noticed the Gunning enter the Bridge so she turned around to see him and smiled as she approached him. "Sir, if you don't need me here I will be in Engineering monitoring the Cadets there?" She asked him.

Gunning nodded knowingly at the Master Warrant. "As you wish. I'll be down to check on their progress soon."

Deep within the machinery spaces of the ship, Jasmine enjoyed modern spelunking. Generations had served, had lived aboard this vessel. She smiled, spotting jotted signatures and humorous graffiti. Nobody but techs like she would ever see them. A good chief engineer would come through periodically, but they were usually cool with it. It felt like a different world in here, a place to work in solitude.

"Aye sir," Vestara replied with an equally knowing smile as she headed into the turbolift and left Deck 1.
