Mission: Brave New World
Location: The Dive
Timeline: Current

S'er'in'e had just finished doing some routine work in his office, with the new rank came additional duties, minor but otherwise time consuming ones. His crew chief had updated him about the repairs to his ship and they were progressing but they were still a long way off till she was even start up ready, never might flight capable. He'd sent off a request for additional parts to the Homeworld which he had little doubt would be promptly sent when everything had been gathered together, the reply from the Homeworld was warm and considerate.

In light of everything that had happened though especially the attack on Samanthia she yet still wanted to not only persue a future with him but also a family. He wouldn't deny he had worries as any potential parent would when considering children but they did have a Doctor's appointment ahead of them where they could discuss such worries with someone trained and knowledgeable in such things.

The reports coming in from Command were promising with the notification of new craft and pilots arriving soon, his earlier list of requirements swiftly approved and bays were already cleaned, cleared and prepared for when they did eventually arrive. The recent addition of another feline to the mix, a Lt.Jg Yalane was an interesting turn of events, naturally in battle communications were missed, orders delayed so he only had a very brief window of notification prior to her arrival. He would be interested to see how she fit in, talent was there as was her capability so he hoped her transition into the unit went smoothly.

Mason he felt had not been the same since Maxwell's return, he'd not pressed it and so far it had not effected her duties but as he'd come to understand it and from the slight gaf in communications during the battle, the two had some history.

He signed off his terminal and exited his office to walk along the rise that overlooked the hanger bay which even still bustled with activity. A few noticed him but said nothing, he couldn't help but wonder if news of what happened in The Dive had filtered its way to them. He couldnt change the past and some would say it is best left there to be ignored or forgotten in the sands of time, he left and made his way to the nearest turbolift which would whisk him off to his Mate.

Samanthia, being slightly irritable and a bit snappish as the treatments were doing their insidious work wither chromosomes. Her Warp-12 knew she was taking it treatment and went with the flow and took it in stride. At times she could be a hell raiser, but she also treated everyone with respect as the job got done. And be there to help when they needed it. She was seriously thinking of turning the rest of the shift over to her senior waitress and spend time in the holo-deck working on her martial arts, which lately she had been neglecting.

Or maybe go to the dive and shove around the more rowdy patron. Knowing they'll be back for more. She made another round of the establishment. She nodding to those that were regulars and her Favorite friends who commiserate with her as she was going through treatment.

S'er'in'e had headed to the entrance of The Dive, it came as no surprise at all he was granted entry with no interference. The eyes that came upon him however when he entered were piercing, some with respect while others held a more wary feel to them. He knew this was to be expected and he glanced a view at where everything had happened, the shelves had been repaired and replenished with bottles and glasses, chairs and tables mended and replaced as if nothing had happened at all. He walked to the bar and sought the tender there. "Is my Mate available?"

Zeb looked at S'er'in'e, "She just walked in," pointing behind him. She just had walked in. Still in her business attire she wore when she was in Warp-12 up on the Promenade. "Table or booth or bar?"

Samanthia smiled and stalked up behind her mate to hug him from behind, straddling his tail. "Mmmmmmmm....." She semi-muttered/purred. "Booth," She answered for S'er'in'e. She released him as she grabbed his tail in a gentle grasp. "Shall we?"

The best booth in the place emptied out, quickly in respect for what Samanthia had control over and the wiliness that S'er'in'e jumped to fulfill it. One of the slower ones gathered all of the glasses and tossed them on a passing waitress tray and wiped the table down and cleaned the seats. "We've reserved a seat for you, Miss Akiashiro," He sang out once his self impose chore was done. "Please be honored to sit here!" He held the waitress there, giving her the dirty look to stand fast.

S'er'in'e smiled when his Mate came up behind him, he knew it was her, she was the only one brave enough to do so. "Lead on." He replied as he followed her to the booth they had cleaned for them. He took a seat once it was clear to do so. "I thought I would surprise you with a visit." He smiled looking at her. "I promise, I wont cause a fuss this time."

"After they seen what you did. No they whont, unless very drunk or have a deathwish." She settled in next to him, wanting to be close to him. She crowded him as she snuggled against him, wrapping his tail around her waist. She looked at him with smoldering blue eyes as she trapped the tip of his tail between her thighs, "I could walk in here stark naked and whont be touched." She turned to the waitress, "Get a Creame Milkshake for my mate and an orange juice with a sprinkle of catnip on both. And menus, please."

"I'd rather you didn't, I hope to be the only one to see you as such." He twitched his tail tip and his eyes a clear sign of his devious thoughts to please his Mate is ways she enjoyed. "I hope your day has gone well and productive." He put his right arm around her to hold her close to him feeling pleased and content that she was close and in reach.

Samanthia gave a soft laugh, looking up at him to meet his gaze unafraid and with warmth. "I'd rather not talk about it. The treatments are making me edgy and finicky." She looked over the other patrons, giving warm smiles to her favorites and a wave to those nodded back.

"The price of motherhood." He remarked with a smile, a tail twitch and a firmer hold around her. "I admit I am less than eager over my diet arrangement that lays ahead but I should enjoy what I can before then." He rubbed his cheek against hers, his slightly cold nose along her neck to under her ear.

She squirmed under his touch and the shivers that spread out through her from the chilled tough of his nose. "Mmmmmmm.... I wish there was more room to these booths, she murmured softly as their drinks were placed before them by the waitress. Dropping off the menus what the Dive offered in the food department, as the majority was filled with imported drinks with their prices.

"Why not make some, you are the boss after all?" S'er'in'e replied. He saw that they held some attention of those around but for the most part they were ignored. "Are you looking forward to being a Mother again?"

"I am," Samanthia looked up at S'er'in'e. "What about you? Since this is going to be your first time a father." Snuggling up against him with his one arm embrace. She returned to looking around her. Suddenly froze all movement as she looked and saw an easily overlook man. She blinked as a patron passed between them, He was gone. She relaxed, turning her attention to S'er'in'e.

"I am unsure, my experpeince with a figure of fatherhood comes from my Caste, not my Father as I was put into training very young. I know this is not the Homeworld so I can only do my what I can, I will spend time reading and in study of fatherhood to better prepare myself." S'er'in'e replied. "What would you like to eat?"

"Mmmmm..." She turned to the menu they was sharing. "turkey sandwiches meal."

"Two please, but mine larger in quantity thank you." He handed the Menu to the waiting waitress and turned his attention to Samanthia snuggled up to him.

When the waitress left, Samanthia turned her attention to him. "Have you thought of any names for our children?" Then looked away as two of the patrons started yelling at each other and standing to face each other down. She looked back with a sigh, but then this was The Dive, where people could come and blow off steam how ever as they please.

"Not so far, is it normal to choose names prior to birth for Humans?" S'er'in'e asked holding her tenderly in his arm and his tail about her waist. He ignored the noises around them. "I am unfamiliar with Human parenting ways, or my own. So I will need your advise and suggestion to help me through this."

"It's nice to be prepared. Cause they'll have to have name for the records. Birth certificates. You can't just call them kitten. Definitely can not be rough with them. No matter how annoying they can get." She looked up at him, speaking softly. "Don't worry to much. I'll be there."

"I worry more about you, should they have claws they can inflict considerable harm on you, your skin is not as durable as my own." S'er'in'e spoke. "Have you any considerations for a name?" Meanwhile he was coming up with some of his own, both Human and Caitian.

"I'll worry about that when the time comes," Samanthia smiled up at him. "Lets hear them!" She was sounding a bit excited to what he had in mind.

"There is a bird on my Homeworld, it's colour like my own but up close it is beautiful similar to that on your Earth. I have studied Earth creatures before my admission to Starfleet and I believe you call them Raivyn's." Unaware he was spelling the name of the creature incorrectly. "Beauty and mystery for a female. I have not thought much on a Male name as that belongs to the female to choose." He could only offer suggestions.

"That is a beautiful name," Samanthia smiled. "The bird is called Ravin, spelled r-a-v-i-n. But I like the way you spelled it." She then looked thoughtful. Her mind racing. She was saved by the Waitress when she showed up with their orders and placed them on the table. The bigger and thicker sandwich going in front of S'er'in'e.

The food at least for him was large but he was fine with that considering he was a larger person in comparison to most. Blissfully ignorant to the setting S'er'in'e quietly mentioned. "I have been researching on Human mating practices in the hopes to find new or different positions that would be more comfortable for you in light of my large frame of being in comparison to yours."

Samanthia did choke on her sandwich, but quickly recovered. The waitress walked away with a smile, but other than, she ignored the comment by S'er'in'e. Samanthia squirmed to get away from S'er'in'e to move to the other side of the table and sat back down. In the process, she took the treatment pill, while her back was facing the room, and the patrons couldn't see what she was doing. "We'll have plenty of time to try them out!" she snapped out as she grabbed her sandwich. She nibbled on it and set it down. A few minutes later she picked it up and stared at it for a few minutes. "Blah!" She tore the sandwich apart, letting the bread, lettuce, pickles and meat fall to the plate in disorder. "What are you staring at?" She growled softly at S'er'in'e.

"I am wondering if I said something wrong as you have moved away from me?" S'er'in'e answered after averting his gaze. He fell silent as he ate the sandwiches. "Does the meal not satify."

"Nothing I eat satisfies me any more." Samanthia spoke softly as the passing phase of being irritated had passed a long with the feeling of overheating. Then she stuffed the meat into her mouth and happily chewed on it. She looked up at him. "You don't have to divert your gaze from me." She reached out to take his big pawlike hand in hers. "I want to go home. You stay and relax," She slid out from the booth and leaned to him and gave him a kiss on tip of his nose.
