Mission: Ten Little Diplomats
Location: Auxiluary Promanade II

Akiashiro Merchant Clan

Raphiel along with a few of his trusted Aides looked over the milling crowd of leaders and shakers of the station in the merchant business, as he held his glass of the latest batch of Romulan Ale smuggled onto the station, listening to the live band imported from Sol-3 (Earth) play soft music and the pretty waitresses moving silently through other estimed dignataries of business associates in their little groups waiting for the others to make the first move.

Orion Syndicate

The Boss, Termi'Aldo with his associates milled about the place making sure there was no "unwanted" guest at this function. Even though he ran a successful business on the station, he was the man that moved contraband that none of the other's dared or not know, from one place to another. And provided the "Willing" to provide an even more entertainment if desired. He nodded to the other leaders of the various factions that moved, sold, manufactered goods across the galaxy.

House of Donitello Family

Victoria Donitello moved gracefully with her group of underlings, checking out the competition of the Syndicate and other movers of merchantdice, whether it was legal or not. She smiles as she listens to an aide point out the various faction leaders to her as they headed to their place within the conference room to have a place of operations.

Ferengi Trade Alliance

Mog'Ul and his bunch whispered to each other, not giving the others a brief glance as they argued over and debated the next pricing of unsold merchandice and the latest acquition. Eyes darted occassionaly away from the group to the nearby passing Hoo-mans and others not of Ferengi stock.

Independant Merchant Union

These where the representives of the various small business's that dotted the station with services that bigger Merchant clan didn't bother with and to include the independant ships that visited the station to make sure that they get paid and have an outgoing cargo to haul. "Chid" MacKenzie with his group worked their way down the buffet table laden with finger foods all across the galaxy, meeting all dietrary needs of those that were attending the meeting.

It was noisey as arguements and laughter rose and fell as they settled in for the meeting and wondering what the Agenda was and what the latest concerns with the newest Representives of Starfleet would want to do with the Starbase that pretty much was the hub of merchant fleets port-o-call and Merchant clans ran the station.

Already the New Command of Fleeters were stirring the pot with a rash of Murders anmd missing crewpersons. Not to mention Diplomats. They (Ambassadors/Dilpomats) always passed through here without little fuss or mayhem befalling them.

Already alot of Civilian business were forbidding Starfleet personel from entering their establishments or keeping a very close eyes on them, making them nervious. Even the families and dependants of Starfleet Personel, were feeling the animosity. Some business were indifferent to the growing trend, but were aware of it happening.

Diplomats and their Aides were being watched closely when they left their areas of habitate and the Main Promanade to make sure that they didn't stray to far or make a nuisance of themselves when on their sorjourn or their secret liason of private affairs.

As time passed, the leaders of the factions slowly made their way to the center of the room at the head of their "Aides" to get the meeting going and over with to resume business at hand.

"Greetings all," Raphiel spoke first to get the meeting rolling as he took his seat as the others did the same and getting greeting in return from each of the factions leaders. "I will not make a mockery of your intelligence by going over the Murders taking place, Scince I know that "None had any involvement with that..." getting a chuckle from the rest of the group, OS Boss, Termi'Aldo chuckled while looking innocent. "...But we need to address this problem immediatly as we had ran this station ourselves and provided the security forces to keep the peace here and to defend it if the occasion arose."

"We know that, Elder Akiashiro. We ran the station with a token Fleet Personel before and now all of the sudden this station is nearly being overran with them. I had to give up two whole levels just to provide room for all the enlisted personel that Fleet decided to send our way.!" Victoria Donitello spoke in her usual manner of command of a major house. "They gave up on this station when I was child and remembering how we all came together and moved the station here. The Joint Effort in moving such a large station! And now fleet wants to take it over?"

The rumble of agreement and dissatifaction of the evidence being provided by Victoria. Termi'Aldo spoke up, "We had a good relations with the previous fleet commander and we barely know about the this new commander and his senior staff. But they sure brought more trouble with them."

Mog"UL spoke up, "Yesss they wanted to search our ships before they left port! It's costing usss latinuim when we have to wait for them to gives us clearance and fish their searches. I demand that they put a stop to that!" He stood up to speak an paced a few steps to each side of his chair, looking at each of those assembled.

Others gave a polite chuckle as a few of them nodded. "With the murders. All ships are locked down at the moment as I know you still have a shiop still impounded by fleet!" Termi'Aldo spoke up, looking at Raphiel.

Raphiel nodded and spoke calmly, "As I found out are still holding the crew in the brig. But was able to talk with them about the incident. I'm taking steps to put pressure on the Station's Commander to release the civilian crew over to me."

Everyone looked at each other, looking worried, yet confident that they would bring pressure on the new station's new Fleet Commander lighten up on his "Fleet Obligations" here out on the frontier and turn things back to "Status Qo" with the civilians running the station as before.

"If we need more muscle... we can talk with the Civilian Labor Management and convince them that it would be in their best interest to allie themselves with us till this fleet Commander backs down to just to providing military defence and leave the Civilian side of things to us." Raphiel bringing the subject back online with the matter at hand.

Getting nods approval from the others with minor protests, but soon fell inline with the rest of the majority as fresh drinks were brought to the table. Now the big debate would be who would represent the Merchant Government to the new commanding officer of the station. It was obvious that the Syndicate and the Ferengi's were not going to be chosen, leaving the Donitello's, Akiashiro's and the Free Merchant Union leader to be chosen as the Representive.
