Mission:
Lie Of Omission
Location: Pike City, Cestus III
Timeline: Four weeks after departure from Starbase 332
A smile grew over Traxx's face as he read over his long list of messages. He's always had a customer first method of doing business, and finding out that he was able to meet a customer's needs. This time, he had a message from a colleague of his that had located an old Romulan shuttle that would work perfectly for Jordan Gunning. Excitedly, he pulled up the information Gunning had provided, and contacted the hotel in Pike City on Cestus III, hoping that the Commander was available.
"Traxx." Gunning's voice echoed through the comm channel before his face appeared. He looked slightly haggard, as though he hadn't slept that night and his short cropped hair was messy. "Do you have some news for me?"
"I did, I did!" Traxx answered excitedly. "My colleague came through for us. It's an older shuttle, a '64 vintage, but it should do the trick. I already have it at my facilities on Archa IV."
"Excellent, excellent." Gunning was surprised at the extent of Traxx's contacts. To come up with a Romulan shuttle within a few days and manage to get it to his fitting yard was impressive. If Jordan had still been in Starfleet he would have had half a mind to investigate that connection but it worked in his favour. "You've received the interior specifications, right? I don't want a standard runabout fit-out. Chances are I'm going to have to live on this thing for prolonged periods of time so I want it to at least feel like home."
"Of course. I've already set my people loose getting the necessary resources together," Traxx answered. "You know, I've been thinking a bit about your specifications, and it gave me an idea. Among our many customization options is a collection of low power holoemitters. They wouldn't be strong enough to recreate whole environments, but it might help you if you get indecisive with your furniture or need some company on a long voyage."
"Yeah, that could work." Jordan hestitated. "I take it that'll be extra."
The blue of Traxx's cheeks grew a little bluer. "Well, yes, it would be a little extra. But if you're going to spending a lot of time on your ship, I think it would be worth it."
"How much extra?" He asked.
Traxx grew a little worried about losing his sale, but he tried not to let it show. "Normally it would be around 5,000 credits for parts and labor, but since we're already doing work on your shuttle, we can do it for 3,000 credits."
He forced Traxx to watch him mull the decision over, pulling in and puffing out his cheeks a few times before he responded. "I've booked passage on a Rigelian transport and I'll be back on Three-Three-Two in four days, maybe five. Will you have it ready for then?"
"It will be close, but for you, Commander, we will have it ready."
"I'll have your payment ready to complete on delivery then." Gunning smiled. "Thank you, Traxx."
