[USS Antietam]

Gunning felt his body being thrown from side to side as the Sojourner flagship did its best to engage them. It was launching fighters as they peppered the hull of the Antietam with phaser fire. They'd launched, at most, a couple of wings. Not more than ten but the crew of the Lexington Class carrier had other things to worry about.

"Lieutenant Suder, show them our ventral shields and then launch your attack patterns!"

"Captain I will scan the area for any more enemy ships," Marcus said.

Lieutenant Commander Bastin sat at his console, tracking crew strength and preparing for any casualty reports that might come in. Having been in the side seat before, he was fairly used to handling the manning side of a battle, he just never got used to what it meant.

[USS Jackal]

Kelly's hands had never moved so fast as he cycled through the attack formations embedded in the Jackal's computer. He must have been doing a decent job, they hadn't taken a hit yet. The inertial dampeners rocked them slightly as DeHavean sent the ship into a spin, allowing him maximum coverage with the phasers. He kept his head down and locked the targetting scanners on the Ritorian vessel.

He fired as a Sojourner fighter crossed in front of the Jackal's fore. One of the phaser volleys caught it on its dorsal point and sent it spinning off in a fireball.

Liarra frantically looked over her display, checking the positions and status of all of the ships. "Lieutenant, if you have a shot on a fighter, feel free to take it, but we have bigger fish to fry." She confirmed the position of their target. "Target the Bird-of-Prey, bearing 283 mark 047."

Erica was intuned to the Defiant class, making it a very nimble ship indeed as it designers intended it to be with maximum firepower with a well trained crew at it's controls, all she had to do was fly fast and maneuve quickly to stay ahead of the enemies' targeting computers. She made Defiant class ship that was called the Jackal to live up to it's name as being an agile SOl-3 canine, but this time it had the skill and cunning of a predator of a feline at its controls. Stars and ships spun and moved in a crazy pattern, yet each shot the tactical had fired landed true on its target. Hearing the ship designated by Commander Von, made a pass at the Bird of Prey, bringing the forward four pulse cannons to bear on it's intended target, giving Tactical the few extra seconds for maximun effect of the pulse cannons.

The phaser volleys slammed into the shields of the Bird of Prey as the Jackal's attack pattern hit paydirt. The Klingon ship seemed to spin on its axis before darting off into the stramash.

Erica's paw/hands flew over the controls, swerving onto a new path before any enemy ship could get a decent lock on them. Purring softly as she flew, focused on her job of manoeuvring the Jackal, and giving slight "miaow" when the ship shook from impact to the shield as she quickly rolled the ship to lessen the impact/damage to the ship.

Her eyes glittered with intensity, ears flatten against her skull, tail behind her whipped in in snaking curves behind her, or swung in circles behind her as if she was running after prey to take down, to help keep her balance in the chase of rapid changing of directions. She always had ships lined up for tactical to get snap shots off with the four fixed powerful pulse cannons without using tactical targeting computers, each lasting from five to ten seconds before suddenly darting off in a random direction after more prey for Tactical to fire upon. It was a good day for a hunt!

[USS Metis]

As the Metis shook - mostly from the blast radius of the torpedo which had just exploded on the Antietam's shields - Nilani focussed her full attention on the battle that they were now to be embroiled in. "Full impulse! Attack pattern Kappa-4, take us in fast and then straight back out the other side for another pass! Mister O'Connell, ready forward weapons!"

"Aye, full impulse, attack pattern Kappa 4." Exeter replied as he started the Metis on her attack run.

Sean glanced around and shook his and muttered under his breath. "Getting in a few pot shots, check, get our behinds handed too us, check." Sean started targeting the first ship on their run and he knew the weaknesses of the Miranda and excelsior class and probably knew what they could, better then these Sojourners.

[Fighters]

Explosions buffet Mason's viper as she slides across the battle zone. The enemy fighters were mostly swarming in erratic patterns, probably trying to confuse the Starfleet fighters. "Stay in formation, Pythons. Try to draw the fire away from the crusiers. Don't let the fighters lead you into a trap." She brought her viper about, setting her sights on one of the ships targeting the Metis.

Riva surveyed the data on her HUD carefully. "Exocets stayi with me. We're going after the fighters. No matter what happens stay with you wingman." She vectored her bird to acquire a target. "Target locked," Darian reported.
