Mission: After the Storm
Location: Somewhere

Felicie walked into the lounge, making her way directly to the bar and ordering a drink before turning to survey the room. It seemed to be a fairly lively crowd, a number of people milling about talking excitedly, drinking, enjoying food. Finally, her gaze settling on a familiar face, she smiled, taking her drink as it was placed in front of her. Captain Von. Someone she had still to actually meet in person.

Well there was no time like the present! Walking across, Felicie stood in front of the table across from Von and offered a grin. "Captain, Felicie Rivero, Security. Mind if I join you?"

Liarra almost didn't see the security chief walk up. She was lost in thought as she sipped at her drink. Despite the bustle of the lounge, Von was largely silent and staring off into nothing, her mind reflecting on recent events. Rivero's arrival stirred her from her inner monologue. She gestured towards the seat across from her. "Not at all, Commander. I had been hoping to have a chance to chat with you."

Sliding into the seat across from Von, Felicie smiled and took a sip of her drink as they lapsed into small talk.

Next Buck walked in after making sure his boys had fallen asleep, and not just pretending to either, he was tired. Though he knew he had to do the social thing once in a while, he didn't really have a plan. Just turn up and hope he could mingle without trying too hard.

He noticed the Captain was nearby and Commander Rivero, whom he had kind of just met while they had investigated a weapons locker break-in. Buck had a computer specialist work with him on the locking mechanisms and the two had discussed countermeasures as it seemed the break-in was via computer access not physically.

The Unjoined Trill purple haired man noticed both Vestara and Brennen chattering at another table, very animated. Buck smirked as he watched the two for a few moments before approaching the bar.

Decan had spent the day since arriving, seeing that his quarters were set up in a satisfactory manner. After so much meticulous work he found himself in need of nutrition. He had envisioned a solitary and quiet meal, but found upon walking in that it would end up being the opposite. He approached the bar with his hands clasped behind his back. "Vegetable broth." He requested. He looked about for an open table, hoping to be away from the 'action'.

Samanthia moved through the lounge, making sure her staff was moving through the various groups with the orders for the patrons. She paused at the end of the bar, glancing briefly at the man ordering a vegetable broth. Letting the bartender go fulfil the person's order. She was dressed semi-formal and casual to either pitch in with the staff or mingle with everyone. Seeing Captain Von and several already present Lt. Commanders floating about the place. She edged behind the end of the bar, smiling at spying a glass of orange juice with moisture on the outside. She smiled her thanks to to the Bartender as she picked up the glass and took a drink. "aaaaahh..." Sighed softly as the drink felt refreshing. She leaned against the bar, looking over the assembled groups, wondering if S'er'in'e would find time to show up. Then there was Mariah having to deal with the Nanny for a much longer time.

Mia wasn't looking forward to this, but she'd promised Angela that she would go to the communal area for food twice a week. She wasn't super big on socialization, but sometimes other people surprised her. Walking to the bar she waited for the bartender's attention before ordering "Poutine and a Coke please."

It was hard to miss someone who's size took up most of the doorway upon entry but S'er'in'e was a familiar and known face so his arrival garnered no more interest by others that usual. His Mate, Samanthia had made considerable efforts to encourage him to be social and while S'er'in'e would not refuse his Mate, it still didn't make things any less uncomfortable. He frequently wondered what happened Isotep following his cornering and removal to a back office out of site, the pleasure of which he would treasure for some time. Revenge was sweet, even if only brief.

Managing to pick his Mate from the crowd standing by the bar he made his way towards her making sure to keep his tail from being trodden on by those around him. "My Mate." He bowed with a smile, she always brought happiness to him regardless of the situation and this was no different.

Samanthia turned her attention towards the voice of her mate. The smile grew warmer, while she turned towards him. "Mate." Stepping close to give him a hug when S'er'in'e straightened from the bow. Softly, just loud enough for him to hear. "It's wonderful that you showed up. Otherwise, I'd have to come visit you at work." A mischievous twinkle appeared in her eyes.

He remembered fondly a time she did so, having landed from deployment and Samanthia had come to the Hanger Bay. The two had missed each other before but when he saw her, the low roar he made, the beeline he made for her very nearly bowling her off her feet when they met. His arms wrapped around her firmly holding her close. Her much smaller and slender frame fitting him with each and comfort before he let her go. "You need only say, and I will always make time for you." S'er'in'e replied as he smile while looking down to her, his hands on her sides affectionately.

The appearance of the rather sizeable Caitian was something that did not go noticed, at least from Felicie's perspective. She offered a smile and a nod. "Colonel S'er'in'e, lovely to see you again. Would you and your friend care to join us?" she asked, motioning toward empty chairs at the table.

Soft laughter erupted from Samanthia at hearing Felicie's comment. She looked over at her with a smile. "We'll be glad too." Tucking herself up against S'er'in'e to have an arm around his waist, so they could join Felicie at her table.

Mate? How do they even...gods idontwanttoknow. Mia's eyes flickered from the huge feline to the human he called his mate, and back againtwice before returning her gaze to her fingernails. They were cracking and peeling, and silently she decided that she could use a scan to check her electrolyte levels. Clearly something was off. She also needed a manicure, this was almost sad the state of her nails.

Motioning to a passing server, Felicie ordered a round of drinks for the table before turning toward Von again with a smile. It was the first time she'd really socialised since she had come aboard the station, it was definitely going to be an interesting evening getting to know some of the crew.
